I met him this summer too. Most moving moment of my life. While waiting, I didn't speak a word. The second I turned away from him I literally burst into tears and started shaking. My friend has "just keep your head above" from Swim tattooed to her wrist and he touched it. To anyone who truly loves Andrew, you understand how much that really meant to her. It was a great night.
after what this guys been through i really find what he does quite amazing and inspirational. the music is beautiful and the lyrics haunting keep up the amazing work mate :]
Definitely. That man is nothing but pure genius. I just wish I would have seen him play with SoCo about three years ago but I didn't. I'd kill to see "Konstantine" live. I've seen him with JM and it's in the top 5 concerts I've ever been to.
I have to say that his musical maturity between this and something corporate is like comparing a 1 year old to a 95 yr old man. I think his brush with cancer and sensing his own mortality really brought into perspective his view on life and what inspires him.
@BirdsongVids Wrong. On the day EVERYTHING in Transit was released, he had been in the hospital for about 6 months with leukemia, The day it was released was when he got his bone marrow transplant from his sister Katie.
I think my comment was actually about the back-up guy. I can't remember but of course I can't tell for sure because so many people gave me a thumbs down for simply stating my opinion. Way to be open to opinions guys, real great
i'm sure he/she didn´t knew... leukemya is a horrible disease, but i think he looks great... and what he is doing with that leukemya center is awesome... i thing is one of my "admirable men" in my top10list... that feelings he has for the music... is totally adictive...
am I the only one that doesn't really miss SoCo? he's made his two best records without them, the reason he stopped doing SoCo was that it wasn't fun for him and he didn't have full control over how the albums sounded. his music's freer and more focused now, he has all final say on the music. hence the reason his photo is on the new album cover he is Jack's Mannequin and it suits him well I think
I'm sorry, but SoCo and JM can't even compare to each other. They're two totally different sounds and concepts. I will forever love Andrew and I just don't know how I could ever chose a favorite between the two.
i think gems have come out of both soco and jack's mannequin. if i'm being honest i think andrew's most poignant songs came before they ever even got a major label record deal and he was able to re-record them for the major label and some of them got butchered (punk rock princess, for one). i still like songs from JM though. i've always only liked a handful of songs off all their albums since leaving through the window, but the ones i like i LOVE!!!
Yah ur rite JM is more popular, but in a way Something Corporate was when he shined the most in his music. But no matter what I like Jacks Mannequin as much as Something Corporate
He doesn't have a great voice? Are you flippin kidding me? His voice is amazing. He sings with so much passion. And so is his piano playing. If I was gay, I'd totally do him... No homo =)
he cant do any pitchy stuff wif his voice cuz its accoustic in tis one.da rest of his songs, his voice is amazing.u shud realli take a look at his live performance.and dat 'll change yr mind.
I'd have to agree, but I saw them play the other night and I couldn't even hear the piano over the comotion of the rest of the band. He could have just been there twidling his thumbs and you wouldn't have heard a difference. The band needs to adjust thier amps to highlight the star.
ready...break was the best album but the glass passenger takes a close second they do have a comparable sound everything in transit was almost too pop for me
I was lucky to be a teen during Something Corporate and a college student during Jack's Mannequin, this music shaped me.
Blonde Ambition absolutely! Throw in some taking back Sunday and DMB while you’re at it!
He is one hell of a piano player, singer and writer.
This is the best song Jack's Mannequin have ever made!!
He's not dying of cancer. The cancer is gone and he's survived.
This was my favorite song when I was 12 years old
this man...is tha bomb...
It's like I wrote every note
With my own fingers
(love)
xx
I love their voices together.
This version is just beautiful.

Yup. He's one hell of a musician. Period.
lol
damm i remember when i first heard this song... on One Tree Hill ... i was like wow

Definitely. That man is nothing but pure genius. I just wish I would have seen him play with SoCo about three years ago but I didn't. I'd kill to see "Konstantine" live. I've seen him with JM and it's in the top 5 concerts I've ever been to.

amazing stuff. dont know why he's not bigger here in the UK
yes you're right..it doesn't matter if we're talking about SoCo or JM..they are both awesome..BECAUSE OF ANDREW!
@BirdsongVids Wrong. On the day EVERYTHING in Transit was released, he had been in the hospital for about 6 months with leukemia, The day it was released was when he got his bone marrow transplant from his sister Katie.
he wrote this whole album while fighting cancer,,, i love this whole project
from listening to something corporate and then seeing this video makes him look very old
both are still awesome though
Amazing
Andrew McMahon, you are so awesome!!!!
I think my comment was actually about the back-up guy. I can't remember but of course I can't tell for sure because so many people gave me a thumbs down for simply stating my opinion. Way to be open to opinions guys, real great

Fuckkk he's amazing.
Man I love Andrew. His voice is really nasal and usually I can't STAND really nasal voices but I think he's just amazing.
am I the only one that doesn't really miss SoCo? he's made his two best records without them, the reason he stopped doing SoCo was that it wasn't fun for him and he didn't have full control over how the albums sounded.

I remember when my ex gave me this song. I fucking love this song but I really wish I didn't think of him when I heard it.
Don´t worry about it sweetie .... maybe your ex does not deserve you .. better things always come
Audrey Selking Right there with ya girl :// i could never stop loving JM and AM tho
@killerbeans1981 well his first album with jacks mannequin was finished the day he found out he had cancer. but i have to say i agree.
wooop
where are you now???
It was posted in 07, he has changed alot since then, ecspecially recently, lol.
Andrew McMahon is retracing every step that we all make.
@rousis14 well, he had cancer. doesn't have it anymore, hasn't since 2006. thankfully.
Andrew McMahon is amzing i saw them live and it was AMAZING
lawlz
good question.
If you say so...I'd rather hear Sondre Lerche or Dan Wilson. Now that's a real live performance.
i would kill to be able to play piano and sing as well as this guy
i think gems have come out of both soco and jack's mannequin. if i'm being honest i think andrew's most poignant songs came before they ever even got a major label record deal and he was able to re-record them for the major label and some of them got butchered (punk rock princess, for one). i still like songs from JM though. i've always only liked a handful of songs off all their albums since leaving through the window, but the ones i like i LOVE!!!
anyone have this in mp3?
i want to know too
Yah ur rite JM is more popular, but in a way Something Corporate was when he shined the most in his music. But no matter what I like Jacks Mannequin as much as Something Corporate
@SVEarl47 i loved this when i was 16 too. i'm also a guy
i think this version sounds amazing. even though he's voice isn't particularily strong.
is the lead singer the same one that was in something corporate?
He doesn't have a great voice?
Are you flippin kidding me?
His voice is amazing. He sings with so much passion.
And so is his piano playing.
If I was gay, I'd totally do him...
No homo =)
Anyone know the notes he plays from 2:00-2:24?
What are you talking about? Something Corporate is amazing.
@BreanneandLeah2009 You have no idea how jealous I am at the moment after reading that...lol
Ditto
LOL, so true fatpaws, so true.
yea bobby dropped out of soco and joined jacks mannequin
resolution, bruised, la la lie
he cant do any pitchy stuff wif his voice cuz its accoustic in tis one.da rest of his songs, his voice is amazing.u shud realli take a look at his live performance.and dat 'll change yr mind.
I'd have to agree, but I saw them play the other night and I couldn't even hear the piano over the comotion of the rest of the band. He could have just been there twidling his thumbs and you wouldn't have heard a difference.
The band needs to adjust thier amps to highlight the star.
he looks so young here
yes, the rasberrys are very influencial.
Mom:where are you going
Me: to kill 10 people
Mom:..NO!
Me:..but...;o; they hate Andrew McMahon...
Mom:...Take the Semi under the coffee table dear.
He totally needs his SoCo hair back.
Just saying.
But i love this song.
Best song? Hardly. Have you even heard any of the songs off of "The Glass Passenger"?
mmmmmmmm :)
perhaps even more superior to the original.
Read the book 13 Reasons Why and then listen to this song.
The main dude looks like a less Hasidic version of Adam Goldberg
yes it is, but JM is better..But again, SoCo is pretty awesome as well
ready...break was the best album but the glass passenger takes a close second
they do have a comparable sound
everything in transit was almost too pop for me
