Possibly the most powerful line I've ever heard in music. - I need light in the dark as I search for the resolution I was recently diagnosed with melanoma and even though my prognosis is good my life perspective will forever be changed
when i hear it the first time it was my favourite song and now six months later i just hear it everyday this song let me remember at some beautiful moments in my life i love it!!
@GTH8991 they've played many many sold out headlining tours. just because you don;t know any music outside of what the radio tells you to listen to doesn't mean a band thats not as high charting is "unknown" they still take tours as a supporting group just to have the experience of playing those shows. that's called not having a huge ego, something the music industry needs more of.
@bbqthis Making a comparison with an average person does really do a great job of showing their overall success. I also never suggested that I was more successful then they are in the first place so that is a stupid point to make. And yes "The Resolution" was their highes charting song, but it didn't even crack the top 100 so like I said, outside of an indie audience, Jack's Mannequin is relatively unknown.
Jack's Mannequin is so much more than some of the poppy shit music that is coming out of modern music. Not saying it's all bad, but Jack's brings something unique, beautiful and deep to the table. Something many bands fail at.
I must be one of the only people who doesn't want him to return to the SoCo sound lol. SoCo was amazing but I love the way his music is now...he's a lot older and has been through hell so of course it's going to sound different. Personally, I think Andrew just gets better and better...
why do ppl have to fight over youtube comments? can't we all just enjoy the music and not fight. this is such a beautiful song and u ruin it by fighting over it with ppl u dont even know
@TellTaleLie hello? what are you five? and one, something corporate and jack's mannequin are two different band with McMahon as the singer, and with no songs on the charts, i dont really consider that making it big. jack's mannequin is one of my favorite bands and i always wished that their music would reach a wider audience
@TellTaleLie because, outside of a indie audience, most people have never heard of them. and when i said "he" i meant, jack's mannequin, not something corporate, im sorry for the misunderstanding but jack's mannequin, outside of dark blue and the mixed tape, songs are unknown to most of the public. I also dont see touring as an opening act to new found glory as hitting it big so i guess well have to agree to disagree
@GTH8991 FYI, The Resolution has been their highest charting single so far. Jack's Mannequin AND Something Corporate have played sold out shows across the globe. And I'm willing to bet they have had A LOT more success than you.
ahm ... what difference does his name make, or the reason or something to the final result. He obviously is on the top of his abilities in this song (top of his vocal range), which (of course) he can and should improve. This is a good song and it could be so much better. The lyrics are great, there is just something missing. And well the piano fits, simple but it works. So y the hell jumping around like a maniac in the concert, y even jumping on it for gods sake, its pop musik, just doesn't fit.
the music is alright. just saw them live, but the singer/piano guy is rediculous, repeates 3 chords on the piano and acts like mr beethoven himself, is an average singer, with an average voice (I do not say that it has no potential though). He just seems so amateur sometimes. Only the relatively new songs for the unoriginal music style (the fray, coldplay and whatnot) they imitated covers it to a certain extend! In the original (not accoustic) version of this song that works very well though...
My wife is a Hero For Hope for the American Cancer Society and this is her walk-up music before she speaks at ACS events. Fantastic.
I lost my mom 1 year ago to cancer, I still can't hear this song without breaking down! It's so awesome!
Possibly the most powerful line I've ever heard in music.

Dude is just amazing. With all he's gone through, to be able to make such strong and passionate music; you can't ask for more from one.

Um... Can someone Post the Video???
@bbqthis Yes, 27 on the modern rock charts. Thats a little different then the top 100.
Ok, so this is one of my favorite videos specifically from min 3:02 on with his silly face hitting the last two keys. So cute. Great song though! :-)
i wish i could see them live
i just really love andrew ok
Andrew=Legend
i agree
you can find the video somewhere on google. search it.
nice video

well this is an awesome song! i don't think the twilight movie was that bad but it wasn't as good as the book
I must be one of the only people who doesn't want him to return to the SoCo sound lol. SoCo was amazing but I love the way his music is now...he's a lot older and has been through hell so of course it's going to sound different. Personally, I think Andrew just gets better and better...

i agree, if you mean the movie
They have the video on their myspace profile
ive never seen this band live but his voice was soooooooo familiar..just realised hes the old singer for something corporate lol
damn he tore that up at :15!!!!
@TellTaleLie hello? what are you five? and one, something corporate and jack's mannequin are two different band with McMahon as the singer, and with no songs on the charts, i dont really consider that making it big. jack's mannequin is one of my favorite bands and i always wished that their music would reach a wider audience
ok I will, thanks for the tip

Nails?! ^^
Ohh yeah, and the hair on his arms are so soft and shiny -.-
no but good song tho =D
@glueckskindchen not on itunes?
Yeah, she did. It's a little weird. But I like it =D
It's America lol :P
Good song though!
@GTH8991 Hmm I do believe 27 is higher than 100.
Calm down, yes, his hair changes, that's not what we care about, we notice but we notice the music more, that's all Muzic was stating.
but in the official video of " The mixed tape" he has black hair, really
probably has to do with the copyright
@cool3929 Cool story bro.
I thought the new album was pretty darn good
He looked better when his hair was dark and really short/just shaven.
Like in his video for the mixed tape
does anyone esle think he looks like sacha baron cohen? its creeping me out
@GTH8991 FYI, The Resolution has been their highest charting single so far. Jack's Mannequin AND Something Corporate have played sold out shows across the globe. And I'm willing to bet they have had A LOT more success than you.
can I just have andrew?
the camera man needs a fucking steady cam.. good song though.

probably gets manicures...haha we wont tell anyone..
@JDeguara That's pathetic.
