IT'S BEEN 42 YEARS SINCE HE WON THE TITLE BUT HIS VOICE IS STILL THE SAME..A CLIP FROM THE TV SHOW YOU AND THE MUSIC WITH JOEY MAGALZO AND DANTE LUZON. DIRECTED BY TITING CENIZA. . TAPED AT THE MONTEBELLO VILLA HOTEL, CEBU CITY.
I am quite doubtful if Sir Novo Bono Jr.would still remember, in one of his shows in Cebu dinala ako ng mother ko to watch (my mom was a big fan of him), napansin ako ni Sir Novo Bono Jr. and he gave me ten pesos! During those time, ten pesos already cost huge amount. I was six years old. Thank You Sir for that unforgettable memory of my childhood.

Novo Bono Jr, he has grown old but still great singer. One of my idols then during Tawag Ng Tanghalan. Im a big fa of Tawag ng Tanghalin oveer the radio. I seldom see the show on b/w tv. We dont have tv then. I only watch the finls via our far far neighbor's house. hahaha

My Dad and a promoter from Cebu started to bring former Tawag ng Tanghalan winners here in Iligan City and it was Mr. Novo Bono Jr. who started it all. The last talent they promoted was Mr. Diomedes Maturan at a show in Oroquieta City,sponsored by the DECS Division of Misamis Oriental. Mr. Novo Bono by the way sang at the former Iligan City High School Auditorium and that year was 1978 I think.
My Gosh! I can not believe! This is Novo Bono, Jr. Im 52 and I was still small when i used to play his records.

Paborito at lagi nila itong inaabangan noon sa Tawag ng Tanghalan. Pero napakinggan ko ang mga awit niya nung wala na ang ama at ina ko. At tama sila magaling nga si Mr. Novo Bono. Alam po ninyo sa tuwing kinakausap ko sa isip ko ang mga magulang ko lagi kong sinasabi na “narinig ko na po ang boses ng paborito nyong si Mr. Novo Bono. Magaling nga siya”.
Sir Dante Luzon, pakisabi po kapag nagkita kayo ni Mr. Novo Bono na “salamat na sa pamamagitan ng kanyang awitin ay naging parte siya ng pagmamahalan ng aking ama at ina”. God bless po.

i haven't ask Novo about his sis. But he once said he got his musical influence from his sister who also sings well..I'll try to ask him the next time we meet. I see him least once a week when he comes to the studio to rehearse for his weekly show..

yes.he is in pablo abella st. salvador ext. labangon cebu city now operating a small business located in front of court of appeal in cebu city.. he is now our neighbor . maybe nobody knows him but i knew him more coz i'm one of his fans. he grows older but still he is and kept silent.
