“Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense, But the real universe is always one step beyond logic.”
‘Kurt Gödel was a logician, mathematician, and philosopher. Considered along with Aristotle and Gottlob Frege to be one of the most significant logicians in history proved with his Incompleteness Theorem you cannot prove simple mathematics by logic.’
The intro is something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. The lack of our brain’s ability to be aware of so many stories at once
Thanks for posting this radio interview with Terrance. I use your channel to wind down in the evenings and to expand my horizon.
Thanks from New Zealand
Thank you @FetchCraft11
Blessings to you and New Zealand
Also listening from New Zealand...
One of the best chanels to get your McKenna dose
Thank you @tomdeitch2305
I appreciate you! it means a lot
Terence was never able to forsee the takeover of the Internet by the dominator culture. There was a brief period where it was great. Not so much anymore.
I agree. The promise of modernity has often been short of expectation
Yes, this was a big blind spot for him & most others. His utopian hopes for connected technologies did not pan out! Instead it went the way of Orwell
But he did. He mentions it as a possibility in his book Food of the Gods: “Those who are on the demonic side of this process [technological development] are fully aware of this potential and are hurrying full tilt forward with their plans to capture the technological high ground. It is a position from which they hope to turn nearly everyone into a believing consumer in a beige fascism from whose image factory none will escape.” It’s true that he didn’t mention this risk a lot in his talks, but I like to believe that Terence was an optimist in that regard.
Duality affects us all. Optimism.
Another I've never heard before. Unbelievable. Thanks Danit!
Terrance is very patient with the stiffs
Danit, thanks for this.
Something new is always revealed to me when I listen to him. Thanks for posting.
Thank you Danit, the first 1 minute plus could be a tape loop report of our current fall into modernity. I look forward to listening to it

I do now remember this interview by the San Francisco’s PBS station and it was such a waste of an interview by the asking of an anti-drug fear and paranoia induced interviewer.
Terence does a wonderful high-wire walk of talking and modulating the interviewers fear by use of language as transducer of anxiety.
What Terence McKenna would say today, twenty-five years later, we can only imagine. But I do hope the questions by a different interviewer would be better. The phone in questions certainly helped a bit.
The interviews and book ‘Terence McKenna, Rupert Sheldrake, Ralph Abraham: The Evolutionary Mind Trialogue (three volumes)’ are easy find.

Thank you @artemisXsidecross
Hope you will enjoy it
Love how Terence wrecked that sanctimonious anti drug meditator
👍
“Popping drugs” i rolled my eyes. Even my third eye rolled back
Mahalo nui from TM's island home❤. Terence slept in a tree house in my neighborhood (Waipi'o Valley) years ago. I convinced the owner to let me too, on the grounds of my being a "student" of his and my wanting to do what I could to learn more about him and "where" his teachings and points of view came from. That was 15 years ago. I now live full time in Waipi'o Valley not far from that treehouse and am still on the path.
Aloha Neighbor! I live close by facilitating an excellent space for seekers of this inner wellspring of being conscious.
Such a lovely channel. Thank you for spending the time to share this with us.
Thank you @KashMunni120
I appreciate your lovely and kind heart
finally a lecture i haven’t heard yet!!!
Perfect
I always enjoy your videos
I remember reading something about how birds (not exceptismart ones, like chickadees)communicate and thinking that's how you communicate on LSD (I've only taken clean acid, except 1 trip on morning glory seeds that had a rough hangover), it's: "I am here, where are you?" And the answer that comes is: "I am here, where are you?"
Mushrooms are the way forward as Terrence proved.😊
What a great show. First new TM for me in at least a decade. Ty ✌🏻
Thanks Danit! Always happy to find a new post. Appreciate you.
I appreciate you! @miketrudelle1602

“When you are lost in the darkness look for the light” ✨🧚♀️🍄🍄
Thank you @DigitalSniper18
Love your channel
Thankyou, Danit! ❤
Just in time for my mushroom trip today! Your the best
It's not what Terence had in mind, for people to be listening to his material while on mushrooms. He once defined evil as "to trivialize a mystery". But I see it's become a trend. May you feel refreshed upon waking! 💖
@zaubergarden6900 yea I should be doing it in silent darkness
I love the artwork in the thumbnail.
Thank you so much @Nitephall
Danit does it again!
Thank you Danit, again, for finding and sharing another Terence diamond.
I appreciate you @Jonofthemadlife

Thank you Danit!❤️
I like the title already 👏
At around 36:00 he was talking about how online worlds were such a break from normal reality in the early days of the Internet. I'd totally forgot the feeling from that time.
Terence and Jung changed my life
What an intellect & what a wonderful progressive thinker
Fire
What a mind ,he has managed to hang on to it even whilst getting far out of his head very good content always ❤

In a sense since these plants are geared towards mammalian nervous systems, they know we're here, perhaps before we got here.
Im a tribal person
I am not
thx
Oh my.. 42:50 The dark night.
Psychedelics showed me how to cure everything Psycho-Somato-Socially.
Who was this interviewer? Honestly really good contrast to interviews now
Long live Mr. McKenna
I survived Y2K
(Sigh) “popping drugs” major minds eyeroll
Is this real?I never knew he was on kqed.
Yes he was, and I remember the time and day now of its broadcast. Terence certainly had to put up with so many fools and did well doing it. 👍
Kids today are really up against it. They might have a distorted view of what is real and what is media / multimedia
Not subtle enough
who the art work by, of the texting tribe members
By me :)
