Most likely his son who is responsible for making these recordings as it was his idea to start recording his lectures. Also was done in late 60 early 70s technology.

My gift is wisdom, which, as Socrates illustrated, is the ability to understand one's lack of knowledge. "Unless ye become as little children" who know that they DON'T know, one cannot learn. I have never been fully confident in ANYTHING - until receiving an amazing education that gave me a complete understanding of the "GOOD NEWS" of GOD given through Jesus Christ, which men have totally corrupted. AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ALAN'S STORY OF THE FARM HAND, for that is me! - although I'm probably not so good at the work. But I am just as good at the indecision! ...concerning absolutely everything....except the message that I've been given to share, which is going to transform this entire world in the most positive of ways. This is the last thing you want to have ads in. I often listen to these when I'm falling asleep and there's nothing worse than an ad randomly blaring in your ear just as you've reach a profound calm.

I used to listen to him on the radio in the nineteen sixties. The good old days. I pretend like I'm listening to the radio again.
Alan Watts is great.
But after listening to him for over 20 years, I realize he was wrong about a few things.
For example.
If you believe you are in a constant state of dying and falling apart.
Than that will be your experience.
If you believe you are in a state of constant rejuvenation and always getting younger, than that will be your experience.
I have decided 20 years ago, that I dont belive in getting old and I am always getting younger.
So now at 58, I look 35.
