Born and raised in Norway, Sigrid self-released her first song in high school. With an imperious run of singles in 2018 she's one of the most exciting pop stars in the world. Sigrid got an undeniable nous for hooks, powerful lyrics and a even more powerful voice. After she released her "Don’t Kill My Vibe" EP in 2017 and her "Raw" EP in summer 2018 she's back with her new single "Sucker Punch". The 22-year-old singer is simply doing what feels most natural to her and by doing so she's reaching more and more major milestones.
We've met Sigrid before her concert in Berlin and talked to her about her hometown Ålesund, the privilege of a sheltered upbringing in Norway and new music.

My boyfriend and I saw her this last weekend at ACL and were blown away. We can't stop talking about how incredible her voice is. I love how refreshing and authentic her look is, she looked so happy on stage just being herself, no gimmicks, no big production, solely her incredible voice and her fantastic band
This is the mark of a true artist , the ability to perform live without auto tune , lights , silly choreography etc. She’s an explosion of joy on stage .
One of my all time favs , jackson Browne was similar . He walked out on stage in a pair of jeans , a brown shirt that i saw him wear more than once , while performing , nodded to the audience , plugged his guitar in and started .
Every song sounded exactly like the studio versions .

I'm from Brazil, and it is really difficult to be an artist here... Have people that control the opportunities only for the "family" or those who goes to a sexual way. So new talents and opportunities are rarity here.. really really rare!! like almost never.

Good sound, thanks, but there was a videography failure. The unfortunate lightning exaggerates her cleft chin. A large, critical monitor should be used to check how the lighting is affecting the view and reposition the subject and the camera if you can’t directly control the lighting.
