I totally agree with your approach to fashion!! Clothes must be comfortable and should still be stylish! I tend to buy classic pieces, however every now and then I got bored and splashed out on something crazy like a wildly striped skirt. Now I try to stick to unusual scarves when boredom strikes. They are smallish and practical.

Lately, I’ve been really appreciating the quality and feel of my classic pieces, but I still like to add something trendy now and then, especially for my head, in my go-to color, red. It’s fun to balance both!
You could definitely buy a belted piece and swap out the belt, but what happens to the original belt? I wouldn’t want to contribute to the cycle of buying low-quality belts that might eventually end up in a landfill.
