It's amazing. Bcs Victor has swept nearly everything. Kunlavut definitely has the spirit and determination. Good luck to both for next tournament
Rachanok won Junior World Champ 3 times, and hold the record of the youngest ever single player to have won, also the youngest to reach All England's final.
Hey guys! I really enjoyed this episode ❤ what an episode! can hear Anders' point of view on his match against Kunlavut and a lot of interesting discussion.
but I really like it when your videos are give the time stamped.
I think it's a convenient way when we want to hear back from one of the topics you guys discussed.
Best wishes to you for the Indonesia Masters and the whole year 🙏🏻🙌🏻
9:15 Kunlavut win 3 world junior title in 2017 18 19 and Ratchanok also win 3 title in 2009 2010 2011, other discipline is Chen Qingchen who win gold in 2013 2014 2015 in mixed double (with different partners)
18:41 Kunlavut Vitidsarn (11/5), Kodai Naraoka (30/6) and Lakshya sen (16/8) is born in same year (2001)
What an interesting episode. Happy to hear player's perspective on expressing the feeling on court and also about the umpires 😬 Always enjoy hearing you two, especially Anders' childhood memory about being judged 😂 Selamat datang di Jakarta! We hope this is not the last time Pak Hans playing at Istora, hope you guys will qualify to play INA Open next June.
Crazy to see how the world of badminton plays out. Hopefully I will be there one day with you all!
"Anders, I know you". That will make a good quote for the next merch 😂
I m so thankful for the efforts you guys put into these videos , and that too while traveling and playing tournaments. Huge respect to AA and HKV
It was an awesome match. Kunlavut played superbly! I'm bummed that XD & WD were walkovers though..
Respect for both.
Really interesting topic and thanks for sharing such authentic experience with umpire. Agree that the umpire need to be open for such discussion, it’s not fair to penalise someone for past mistakes. Thanks for doing the podcast! Always looking forward to the next. Cheers!
Nice.. Number one
Can't wait to see u at istora!!
100% some TBE Keyhangers to put on the bag, perhaps as a toy like Mr Bearminton
i like this podcast , Always support yu guys 🙌❤️
Superb
The opening makes Denmark on top of my places to visit list!!
Please come 🇩🇰
Btw welcome to Indonesia 🎊
It's not even a month yet into the year but Anders has already shown us inexplicably funny moments like ranting after net game with Ginting in Malaysia and his reaction after being faulted for a serve in match against Kunlavut in India is second to none. seriously what a lad. good luck for the tour!
love you gaess..!! stay safe ❤❤
Thank you for another interesting episode. I haven’t seen anyone talking much about Kunlavut. Always curious to hear the professional’s perspective against him.
@hk & aa: have you guys considered tbe headbands, wristbands and towels? simple and useful merchandise for fans that won't break the bank.
When he just said so guys I thought he is going to say Viktor has finally lost.😂😂
anyone got a link to the clip of the danish team celebrations for thomas cup 2016? can't seem to find the moment on the bwf vod of the event. love the videos!
Hi Anders and HK!
Amazing and informative podcast as always!
I just visited the TBE website and saw your merchandise, it's very cool.
But just a suggestion, maybe if you could add your names as a tagline to the TBE logo like 'By HK Vittinghus & Anders Antonsen', it'll enhance the value of the products, cause having your names on the merchandise shall surely make it more alluring for fans to purchase and flaunt with 😜.
You both are an inspiration to many budding shuttlers, so wearing a shirt or cap that mentions your name alongwith TBE, would be really great.
I really enjoy your podcasts! They are so enriching and fun to watch.
Best wishes,
Ananya.
i agree! the same reason artists sign their works... let the public know who the beating hearts of tbe are.
I said the same, merch is pretty basic and doesn't tell much about it.
@@Squarabh2 you guys don't think they are more asian centric & showing more poor side of india only good side of asian countries. Just like westerns do.
Super interesting to see view points from top rank players. Would be really interesting to hear your thoughts on the LD, LCW, Axelsen debate. Especially HKV, who has seen LD/LCW at their peak from 2006-2013. My feeling is that LD/LCW still have the edge over Axelsen in all area's but especially in stamina to play all out for 3 sets.
In recent years i feel he has gotten closer to them from the point of view of explosive-attacking play/consistency but I still feel he lacks the stamina of LD/LCW and CL in terms of maintaining explosive play for 3 intensive sets. In addition to explosive attacking power LD/LCW and to an extent CL had crazy stamina, super tight defense, and tight aggressive net play, which I think are key features to beat Axelsen. I think in their peak they could still monster him in stamina like Momota used to but also with a bigger attacking arsenal than Momota as well.
VA is great though!
Big Fans of guys here from THAILAND!!!
I stayed in Sheraton in Chennai few years back and I had salads at the hotel restaurant. And I had food poisoning for a few days. I had to call in a doctor to give me an injection. Avoid drinking tap water, and eat ice cubes, fresh salads that they may use tap water to wash the vegetables n fruits when you are in India and Nepal..
I live in india, never try to eat tap water from restaurants. How good it might be. Just order mineral water + about the salad i reccomend not eating it. Most of us indians are used to this so our immune system is bettee in that sense. But that can't be said for you guys.
😂😂😂 The expression when HK said “ Ng tse yong “
Good episode but no mention of Rasmus Gemke's injury? It looked quite serious, hope he is ok. Can you share any update on that? Also, Anders didn't even watch the An Se Young final?!? Not much of a superfan! Come on guys, you're supposed to be our experts 😜 good luck in Indonesia masters, go TBE! 💪
Kunlavut is a prodigy, even the undefeated Axelsen he can beat even easily in the 3rd set 👏
The term used in not food poisoning - it is "Delhi Belly".
Indians use certain spices which non-Indian stomachs can't handle.
Spices isnt what gives you a stomach infection though, its bacteria
I think it could be a good idea to have and invite Kasper to be in TBE. Let's hear the trusted boy’s side about you, Anders 😂. And also could be a good idea because we can hear a new perspective about badminton and stuff from him because he’s a coach for the junior players now
Hopefully HK still play until 3 or 5 years again 🙏🏻 #legend
Would like to see the podcast with intanon/yuta
The Indian Open was dramatic. I checked the air pollution WAS CRAZY.....I guess most of the players were more or less affected....Oh...and the food.....no one can escape it.
Put the link for the merchandise in the description pls 🙏
It’s there! www.thebadmintonexperience.com 😊
Shoutout to clean air! I really love that as well and Europe could do a lot better on that front too! Hope the EVs will improve it! I really love breathing! Especially clean, crisp, refreshing air!
I dont like breathing, its overrated
Delhi's air is polluted but what you see was fog and not pollution. Fog is natural for whole of north India in winters, even at places with good air quality. you don't see fog in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta because they are close to sea.
No point explaining to them. Everybody has an India stereotype. Everyone thinks India is dirty and poor and etc etc etc....
Let them think what they want. We live our lives. They live their lives. Life goes on.
Ok thanks for clarifying. Didn’t realise it was only fog.
You realize that depends on temperature and humidity too right? European coastal cities are often foggy in winter
@@TheBadmintonExperience It's a mixature of fog and pollution, but it is definitely not safe to breathe the air in Delhi for a long period of time. The players should ask BWF to change the location of the tournament to a different part of India.
So what do you guys think of kodai? What's his strengths ?
It is a shame that in a country known for its rich culinary heritage, the safety and quality of the food we eat are often compromised. The government and food industry must take immediate steps to improve food hygiene standards and ensure that all food establishments are held to the highest level of cleanliness and safety.
The problem when this type of regulation is too strict is that they start throwing away huge amounts of edible foods, removing them from supermarkets and so forth, from even trace amounts of pathogens. I think you can see the problem with this in an era of inflation, increasing food prices, environmental collapse, crop failure, energy shortage, starvation and so forth. There are people and animals starving to death that would gladly take that food. And its a HUGE waste of energy and resources to produce large amounts of food and then throw it away. Granted it can be used in some cases for energy source, but its less than optimal
Bias is everywhere in sport, I really think Gill has her favorites.
Disappointed that you didn't talk about your friend Gemke. How is he doing?
Badminton vs. Tennis : it is true that badminton culture is to limit player discussion. But the great thing in badminton is that the spectators can express and make a lot of noise during the rallies. Mich less in tennis
Between the rallies you mean? During the rally it should be quiet. If there is noise during the rally thats because there are several matches played at the same time. That usually doesnt happen in tennis. They only play one game at a time
Just in case you guys come to SE Asia again, never drink tap water and i will probably stand by this advice for the next 30 years. As for fresh salad, usually a decent restaurant will install a filtration system for tap water used for food so it’s generally safe, just don’t buy salad from street vendor and you will be fine.
another enjoyable podcast! @anders: the umpire issues you talked about were funny... but on a serious note, was it a tournament director you tried to approach to discuss your issues? if so i'd like to inform you the host/director has no say in what the umpires do or which umpires are chosen for a tournament. bwf oversees the umpires, yet the host/director has to pay for all of the umpires lodging and per diem 😡... the tournament host/director is separate from (not associated with) bwf. there have been many umpires i wanted to fire from every bwf tournament i directed. consistency is non-existent. it's sad and embarrassing.
Why can’t I listen to it on Spotify ?
Great video. Have you guys thought about making some money pot to buy specific equipment for podcast. People can contribute to it instead of buying and shipping merchandise all over world (read carbon footprint).
I heard that a Thai person won the tournament yesterday, couldnt stop myself from getting some Phad Priew Wann :D
Gotta say the merch is very basic and it might not be worth it to buy, maybe try adding some new designs and I'll buy the lot😄.Thanks for these amazing episodes. Good Luck for Indonesia. BTW I watch every match of you guys ❣
Tuze aisa nahi lagta ki ye do thoda jyada Acha bolte hai asian countries ke bare me or thoda jyada bura india ke bare me. Maine to notice Kiya Hai. Ye indian players ke bare me aksar bhul jate Lakin asian players ki thodi jyada tarif karate hai.
@@ajitharugire4783 there will be some kind of bias even if we are among top three until India become undisputed champion and a force to reckon with and that has started
We do already have a kyrgios of badminton… have you guys forgotten sukamuljo???😂 Maybe not lately but he used to love taunting players
Sukamuljo is less cocky now because there are young guns like alfian/ardianto that are now beating them
Be strong AA to face umpires judgement😅
Hockey world cup is happening in india right now bt there are no reports of food poisoning so why is it badminton players get sick so often because its not india only where food poisoning happened in indonesia also last year food poisoning happened so is it because badminton players during a tournament do not follow any strict diet that most other professional sports people do & eat food outside their diet plan also?
Was it not this favourite hotel of yours where food poisoning happened last year & 18 players got sick or was it some other hotel? Delhi's pollution is worst in india southern & western cities in india are much better but they never change the india open venue.I am very happy with kunlavut's win i really think after viktor kunlavut can be world no 1 he has got all the skills he just need to get the discipline that viktor has to be consistent like him.I watched akane's match she looked very tired after the 1st set & peace hand sign language is also victory sign that akane did after her win.
Kunvalut is really talented but he can lose concentration suddenly. Like last week when he was playing against lky, he was dominating in the 2nd set and suddenly, he lost concentration and allowed lky to take the set. Also against naraoka, he was supposed to win and take advantage of the situation that naraoka is tired. Again he let naraoka come back. I think this can only be due to a certain lapsed in concentration
I just cannot imagine akane being more tired then asy to be honest. Or maybe she is not as motivated since she already won the Malaysia open
@@ohgin12345 kunvalut needs to work on the mental aspect of the game.Gill was saying during the match that akane looks very tired & i also felt so.
@@atrayeeganguly4935 all of ay matches prior to this was 2 games. Also asy showed tiredness in her match against ay last week and again when she was playing against hbj.
Ok I stand corrected. She played a 3 setter against Carolina Marin but my point still stands.
How can ay be more tired then asy?
@@ohgin12345 Asy is 4 yrs younger than akane so match recovery of asy will be faster than akane so that can be a reason
Simply a case of Viktor not performing well here. I doubt even prime LD and LCW could have defeated him in his form at the Tokyo Olympics
Vittinghus. You gave LKY a very hard time.
Anders. You actually did better then Axelsen
He is out of line but he is right😅
So much talking about themselves
Kunlavut biggest upset
Walo bahasa inggris saya sangat jelek & kdang mengerti kadang tidak Q ttp menonton nya,, saya berharap suatu saat mas Anton / om Hans bisa kalahkan viggo ☺.
Anders ... Don't torture badminton and your fans. Continue to create movies and maybe you can get OSCAR or Gold Globs..... mmm... He says in Matthew 6:21, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” There are a lot of things vying for your heart, as this is the control center for life.
Rather then complaining all the time you should focus on your game more
Don’t worry, we can do both. 👍🏻
Having watched a lot of sports, I'm quite sure that BWF umpires is the worst referee in any sport even compared to like Serie A or Premier League VAR.
if u have so much problem with indian food, air and water then u should skip that tournament🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
Or maybe not hold the tournament in India?
You ppl are jokers
Nhat Nguyen is the worst! He walks round and round all the time!
Hes just trying to prolong his defeat, its good for sponsorship if you play longer matches
Only India has a problem with tap water cleanliness laaa.... other Asian countries are fine... don't make sweeping statements please
Last year in another asian country also food poisoning happened 18 players got sick some even got admitted to hospital so don't say it happens only in india & not in other asian countries.
If you think tap water is not good -> don't use it, If your stomach gets upset by indian food -> don't eat it. It's as simple as that but don't make a stereotype out of it. Yes, some cities have worst quality but as a whole it's not.
@@Squarabh2 and why not you guys make sure to serve hygienic water and food in the hotels the players are staying. So players should bring their own water supplies and food supplies to India? Do you feel embarrassed?
@@atrayeeganguly4935 so you have to lower your standard to that country?
@@ohgin12345 when did i say lower our standard he said in asia it happens only in india so i just corrected him that similar thing happened in another asian country also last year.
Sometimes I feel they have special haterate about india & both are really addicted with asian player's if both have problem playing india then just skip the tour just travel to your favorite asian countries.
If you are not willing to show good things of india then don't show bad thing as well.
There are billion people's are living in Delhi & enjoying indian food if you have problem with food & air it's your problem.
So please think next time before you coming to india about whether or Air & Just Skip the tour.
True bro last time food poisoning happened in indonesia also 18 players got sick even some got admitted to hospital.Even this year already one korean player got food poisoning in indonesia bt they never make video on them but do so in case of india.
@@atrayeeganguly4935 what can you expect from western mindset about india they only highlights poor india.
Don't worry it will change when badminton grow more in india & they wants more audience for see there contents. 😆😆😆
@@ajitharugire4783 not only youtube this guys will happily come for coaching also in india because not many countries give as much money as india give to foreign coaches like what mathias boe is getting.
Sometimes we need to accept the reality. I was wondering about the same even before the tournament started and bang , it happened.
