  • Cam Sample, a top defensive line prospect for the 2021 NFL Draft, details his unique path to the pros.
Sample played at Shiloh High School in Georgia’s Gwinnett County, a region often referred to as “the SEC of high school football”. When his coaches asked him to switch to defensive line prior to his junior year, Sample initially thought they were crazy. But the move paid off and earned him an offer to Tulane.
Sample arrived in New Orleans as an undersized, under-the-radar defensive lineman. Hard work helped him transform his body and elevate his play. In 2020, Sample’s 22.6% win percentage ranked number one in the nation among defensive linemen with at least 250 snaps, while his 48 QB pressures ranked fourth. He was named Defensive Player of the Game at the 2021 Senior Bowl. Now, he’s eager to unleash his unique blend of speed, size, power and technique on the NFL.

Tulane has been producing as of late. Only getting better. Great school, great city, clean family oriented program. Sky’s the limit.
