From an Alabama fan I gotta give Georgia the RESPECT they deserve after almost pulling off the biggest miracle comeback in college football history. But I’m also proud of this Alabama team and the new coaching staff. Thank you to all the TRUE BAMA players for sticking it out and staying with the Tide instead of entering the transfer portal when Nick Saban announced his retirement. I gotta say the coaching staff did an excellent job with the game planning, the first half was perfection. Unfortunately the coaching staff didn’t do as well with making half time adjustments and it almost ended up costing them the game. Although a lot of the credit for the comeback is owed to the Georgia players themselves and its coaching staff’s excellent halftime adjustments. In the end we won though and I’m an extremely happy Crimson Tide fan!! Roll Tide Roll!!!

The CB was giving cushion to the receiver. There was nothing spectacular about that play, especially since Beck had made that throw about five times in the 4th quarter. It was a horrible decision by the QB to go to the well so many times, and he should have worked some inside slants or crossing routes to tie the game, but Georgia lost the game when its secondary stopped playing defense after taking the lead.

As an australian who has no idea how this game works, this randomly got recommended to me and I have to say its quite exciting to watch, and the atmosphere sounds insane. We have a football-esque league where we play rugby quite a lot, i don't even think the atmostphere compares its insane, also really strategic and precise gameplay rather than just brute force alone.
Saban probably burst a blood vessel watching players laughing it up on the sideline before the first half was even over. Saban wins that game 56-21, both sides of the ball got complacent and it almost cost them.
Respectfully I don’t think Saban would’ve let them back in it. The only reason we didn’t win by 20+ is bc Daboer quit trying to put points on the board and started focusing on taking clock instead.

Game should have never been that close. Sheridan was calling way too many QB runs in the second half when Georgia had already decided they won’t let Milroe win with his legs anymore. We didn’t run the running backs off tackle near enough. I blame the offensive play calling for Bama that allowed Georgia to storm back and wear out the defense. It was bone head to still be running uptempo with a 30-7 lead. Use your talented running backs to run the ball and wear the defense out. It would have never even been close.

This isn't the first time Sheridan's second half play calling was suspect. They did something very similar to Texas last year in the Sugar Bowl, really dominated in every way in the first half. Somehow in the second half they couldn't get anything going and almost let Texas come back and win that game.
I agree and we needed to stop snapping the ball with :15-:20 on the play clock. Kill the clock and move the ball. We still won but we basically gave them multiple opportunities that they shouldn’t have had.
The kid could easily start on an NFL roster with a couple months of training with the pros. If he was eligible for next year’s draft he’d be a top 10 pick.

Bama fan here, but Georgia is also a great program, and a great football team. They stared at that 23 halftime deficit and never gave up. They gave Alabama a fight. I have had respect for Georgia for a while, but they always impress me.
This game is a picture of why you should never start celebrating at halftime. keep your foot on the gas!!!! Especially against a coach as good as Kirby!
Amari Cooper was like that as a freshman, so was Dwayne Jarrett, Larry Fitzgerald, and Michael Crabtree. I'm not impressed. The DB on the 75 yard touchdown was awful. That pass could have easily been swatted or picked.
Zabian Brown really demonstrated the next play mentality! He had a couple big plays he gave up on Defense. Once he gave up the TD to number 11 and then the long play to get UGA to the 1yd line. Right before the game saving pick he had a tough play that he broke up to Young right before the pick! The young man showed a lot!! More like Georgia took control. They came back after the half with a 7 minute drive. Gassed the defense, and took advantage of what they created. Bama didn't score on demand because they didn't want to--they just couldn't.

This one game tanked his draft stock so bad. Even during the comeback he was massively underthrowing his receivers and only making completions cause the freshman DBs wouldn't turn around and kept running while the receivers stopped to make the catch. That being said, that one pump fake was nasty and also awesome.

This isn't the first time Sheridan's second half play calling was suspect. They did something very similar to Texas last year in the Sugar Bowl, really dominated in every way in the first half. Somehow in the second half they couldn't get anything going and almost let Texas come back and win that game.
I agree and we needed to stop snapping the ball with :15-:20 on the play clock. Kill the clock and move the ball. We still won but we basically gave them multiple opportunities that they shouldn’t have had.

Bama fan here, but Georgia is also a great program, and a great football team. They stared at that 23 halftime deficit and never gave up. They gave Alabama a fight. I have had respect for Georgia for a while, but they always impress me.

Zabian Brown really demonstrated the next play mentality! He had a couple big plays he gave up on Defense. Once he gave up the TD to number 11 and then the long play to get UGA to the 1yd line. Right before the game saving pick he had a tough play that he broke up to Young right before the pick! The young man showed a lot!! As a fan of Bama you can’t help but be excited for him and the future of the program!!! RTR 🐘 💪💪

This one game tanked his draft stock so bad. Even during the comeback he was massively underthrowing his receivers and only making completions cause the freshman DBs wouldn't turn around and kept running while the receivers stopped to make the catch. That being said, that one pump fake was nasty and also awesome.

@@myrongaines6022 Yeah at times I was just shaking my head and thinking "What are you doing?" throwing it right to the defense at times. He got made to look a lot better in the 4th quarter because Bama was blowing a bunch of coverages.
and yet it's a buyer's league at the QB1 position at the pro level. lot of teams/scouts will obviously still rank him highly enough to go high first round. half the issue in this game was the UGA receivers either dropping passes or clearly not on the same page. it was an all around lacklustre performance for the favs who shouldnt have been favs to begin with. UGA offensive line as well as defense just didn't really show up, while bama was on all cylinders from first kickoff (and yet they still only won by 1 TD)
but anyway from what i've seen of becks his upside/potential is a Goff level QB, who we know can compete with the best, and himself still has much untapped potential. question of the supporting cast, aside
