Hello sir I am Nepal citizen and completed my 11 - 12 from india with 65% in 2023 and also took a drop year for JEE , but didnt socre good . Can i apply for DASA and get a good collge through it ?
Dear Arshu, Thank you for your query. With a score of 65%, you are eligible to apply for DASA, provided you meet the other eligibility criteria as well. However, securing a seat in a good college depends on your DASA rank. Since you haven't scored well in JEE Main 2024 (Session 1), we recommend giving your best effort in JEE Main 2024 (Session 2). Maybe you can improve your score. Afterwards, you can use your DASA rank to secure a seat in a good engineering college in India. We hope this information is helpful. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions. For more updates, please stay tuned with us :)

Dear @MohammedBilal-dp6rv , Thanks for asking your query. According to the 2023 DASA Counselling, for DTU the minimum score required for Computer Engineering is 50+ marks in JEE main for the DASA seat, and for CIWG the minimum score required is 60+ marks in JEE main (the stats are indicative and might change in future). sir why accept and upgrade option in still there in 3rd round in third round it should only show 2 options either accept or decline is it due to a glitch coz last time in 2nd round there was a glitch and results were reannounced on 18th july
Hello Sir, For Saudi Arabian residents there is only residence card, there is no visa number. Can I enter residence ID number & validity date in place of visa number & date. Please advise. Thanks
Sir I got nit silichar now in ciwg if I give accept and upgrade will I get any better collges in my choice list and if I don't get any collges in 2nd and 3rd round will I still be getting nit silichar at the end of counselling?
Dear @srinivasagovindramesh4229 Thank you for your query. Yes, if you choose the 'accept and upgrade' option, you can keep your NIT Silchar seat reserved. If you get a better college, you will be given three options again: accept, accept and upgrade, or decline. As we have also discussed in this video. Dear Sasikala, Thank you for your query. You can fill out your choices for DASA college-wise. You can also fill out the same college but with a different branch. Sometimes, candidates don't get a desired seat in the CSE branch, but they get a seat in the same college with another branch. So, you can fill out your choices according to your preferences. sir i am in dasa non saarc so my semister fee is around 4000$ and for 8 semisters it would be 32000$=(26LakhRS) so if i take admission in iiit pune then do i have to pay extra tution fees other than those 32000$ ?
Dear @AIMJEE, As per the DASA guidelines, these fees are just applicable for NITs, not IIITs and CFTIs. There will be some differences in these fees according to the colleges, but yes, $4000 is compulsory and covers the first semester. In your case, if you get accepted into an NIT, that's great! However, if you are placed at IIIT Pune, their semester fee may differ. If it's higher than $4000, the college will then ask you for the remaining fees as per their fee structure. If any IIIT or CFTI college's semester fee is less than $4000, the difference will be refunded. *One more thing about IIIT Pune:* Their semester fees (branch-wise) and hostel fees may change year on year. For more information, please visit its official website. - www.iiitp.ac.in/ Still, if you have any queries feel free to let us know. For more updates, please stay tuned with us :)

Dear @profjames132, OCI is a different category. If you're filling out the JEE Forms, you can directly choose the OCI/PIO category. There will be these 3 options - Indian Nationals, OCI/PIO, and Foreign. We would also like to share some important information for your reference - *Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI):* "Persons of Indian Origin" (PIOs) shall mean the persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport, or who or either of his/her parents or any of his/her grandparents was a citizen of India by virtue of provisions of the Constitution of India or Section 2 (B) of Citizenship Act, 1955 (Act No. 57 of 1955). Applicants are required to provide documentary evidence towards proof of Indian nationality or Indian origin. To apply under the category “Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)” applicants must submit proof of Indian origin, preferably a valid PIO card or OCI card for the applicant or his/her parents, issued by the Government of India. We hope it was helpful. For more updates, please stay tuned with us :)

Dear @ahemaduddin4167 , Thank you for your query. No, you wouldn't need to pay $600 for registration if you want to apply for both DASA and CIWG. Here's why: *Both DASA and CIWG share the same registration fee:* The registration fee for both DASA (SAARC and Non-SAARC) and CIWG is the same, currently at $300. You only pay this fee once, regardless of applying to one or both schemes. *Separate schemes:* DASA and CIWG are separate schemes with different fee structures. Hi sir is there any condition for the 10% supernumerary seats in iits does it makes foreign candidates admission easier, last year even though we had an supernumerary seats we had to get more than closing rank than cutoff for general ,i am from Nepal and currently in 12th will give jee 2024 ,please tell
Dear Avinash, Thank you for your message. Let us explain, *1)* The seats are only available for foreign nationals who have studied abroad or have studied at the 10+2 level or equivalent in a foreign country. *2)* The seats are subject to the same academic requirements as the regular seats, and foreign candidates must still meet the cut-off for the general category. However, the 10% supernumerary seats do make it easier for foreign candidates to get admission to IITs, as they do not have to compete with Indian nationals for the limited number of regular seats. In 2022, the closing rank for the 10% supernumerary seats was much lower than the closing rank for the regular seats. As a foreign candidate from Nepal, you will be eligible for the 10% supernumerary seats if you meet the above conditions. However, you will still need to score well in JEE Advanced in order to be considered for admission. The closing rank for the 10% supernumerary seats will vary from year to year, so it is important to keep track of the trends and to aim for a high score. For more updates, please stay tuned with us :)

Hello sir
I am Nepal citizen and completed my 11 - 12 from india with 65% in 2023 and also took a drop year for JEE , but didnt socre good . Can i apply for DASA and get a good collge through it ?
Dear Arshu,
Thank you for your query.

Dear Sasikala,
Thank you for your query.
You can fill out your choices for DASA college-wise. You can also fill out the same college but with a different branch. Sometimes, candidates don't get a desired seat in the CSE branch, but they get a seat in the same college with another branch.
So, you can fill out your choices according to your preferences. It would be great to prioritise the college and then choose single or multiple branches as per your interest.

sir also what will be my total cost of 4 years including hostel mess tution and dasa fees in dasa non saarc
sir
i am in dasa non saarc so my semister fee is around 4000$ and for 8 semisters it would be 32000$=(26LakhRS)
so if i take admission in iiit pune then do i have to pay extra tution fees other than those 32000$ ?
Dear @AIMJEE,
As per the DASA guidelines, these fees are just applicable for NITs, not IIITs and CFTIs.
*One more thing about IIIT Pune:*
Their semester fees (branch-wise) and hostel fees may change year on year. For more information, please visit its official website. - www.iiitp.ac.in/

Do OCI count as foreign nationals or Indian nationals?
Dear @profjames132,
OCI is a different category. If you're filling out the JEE Forms, you can directly choose the OCI/PIO category. There will be these 3 options - Indian Nationals, OCI/PIO, and Foreign.
We would also like to share some important information for your reference -
*Person of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI):*
"Persons of Indian Origin" (PIOs) shall mean the persons who are citizens of other countries (except Pakistan and Bangladesh) who at any time held an Indian Passport, or who or either of his/her parents or any of his/her grandparents was a citizen of India by virtue of provisions of the Constitution of India or Section 2 (B) of Citizenship Act, 1955 (Act No.

Hi how much fees you paid and in which mode of payment?
Please let me know
Dear Priya Baiju,
Thank you for your query.
The fee structure for DASA and CIWG candidates is different. You will need to pay a registration fee and a first semester payment. The specific amounts are as follows:
*a)* DASA registration fee: $300
DASA first semester payment: $4000 (non-SAARC) / $2000 (SAARC)
*b)* CIWG registration fee: $300
CIWG first semester payment: $758
However, we have already covered the fee structure in this video:
*1)* DASA: 09:02
*2)* CIWG: 21:43

so if i want to apply for both DASA and CIWG, i'll have to pay $600 for registration, right?
Dear @ahemaduddin4167 ,
Thank you for your query.
No, you wouldn't need to pay $600 for registration if you want to apply for both DASA and CIWG.
Here's why:
*Both DASA and CIWG share the same registration fee:*
The registration fee for both DASA (SAARC and Non-SAARC) and CIWG is the same, currently at $300. You only pay this fee once, regardless of applying to one or both schemes.
*Separate schemes:*
DASA and CIWG are separate schemes with different fee structures. Applying to both doesn't mean double registration fees.
Therefore, you would only need to pay $300 for registration, even if you apply to both DASA and CIWG.

if i got 84 percentile in jee mains this year can i expect top three nit any branch?
Hi Divyash,
Thank you for your query.
Based on last year's data, it's very difficult to get into core branches like Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, and Computer Science. However, you might have better luck with other branches such as Mining, Materials, and Production.
We recommend that you decide on your priorities first. This will help you determine which branch is most important to you.
Here are three of the top NITs to consider:
1) NIT Trichy
2) NIT Surathkal
3) NIT Rourkela
It's important to note that these rankings can change year-to-year, so be sure to do your own research before making a final decision.
We hope this information is helpful!

Hi sir is there any condition for the 10% supernumerary seats in iits does it makes foreign candidates
admission easier, last year even though we had an supernumerary seats we had to get more than closing rank than cutoff for general ,i am from Nepal and currently in 12th will give jee 2024 ,please tell
Dear Avinash,
Thank you for your message.
Let us explain,
*1)* The seats are only available for foreign nationals who have studied abroad or have studied at the 10+2 level or equivalent in a foreign country.
