It feels premium because 80% buyers either came from old Alza which is a dinosaur, or only ever bought a Perodua or old Proton before.... It is a hike overall in experience especially for Perodua. Good things Malaysians are now worthy enough so we all can agree that we need a higher baseline what is considered as acceptable car experience.

The word "premium" is very depending on different classes of people..
If you were driving over rm100k car value.. of coz you will feel cheap in this car.. But if someone is driving a low budget car, of coz they will feel premium when they upgrade to this car..
From a family that used Alza 2010 until the new Alza came out, I can agree with you and say that the difference in quality is like night and day. The first time I got into the new Alza, it feels like some sort of Honda and Mercedes in terms of premiumness. It really feels premium and it still does to this day. I can understand reviewers saying those interior stuff feels cheap, that feel cheap and so on because they got to play with lots of cars from different company and different price range. They will know what's cheap and what's not because they have experience being in an expensive car unlike me who had been in the old Alza for almost 12 years but nonetheless, I'm grateful that the new Alza is as good and premium as it is now
@@josuke6131 yes.. exactly.. this time really dissapointed towards GC and Autobuzz for this Alza presentation.. i understand that GC drove a Lexus and Serena which it is "premium", so it might make him feel Alza not premium.
You are somewhat right about “premium” being subjective to people. But for us, we cannot be describing everything as “premium” just because something is nicer than usual. We need to / can correctly differentiate what’s what (because we are lucky enough to try all sorts of cars). Imagine describing the Alza as premium, and with the same tone Lexus NX is also premium. You won’t need us reviewing cars anymore.

True but since perodua is adik toyota, won't get the latest of latest la. Only got first gen acc that has been passed to daihatsu before. 2nd gen safety sense only exclusive to toyota & lexus currently.

This Alza, well of course while materials are budget, the tech and driving stability is already on par of 2022, a huge step up from the previous Alza from 2009.
I think Perodua/Toyota/Daihatsu while they really took their time, has made their effort worth it.
But I really feel the Alza plus the Myvi will cannibalize the Ativa partly due to the features they have now.

being an Ativa owner, the ACC is not meant to be used in corners, its not autonomous, its a smart driver assist, the ACC doesn't turn on bends.but the LSF is very intriguing, kudos Perodua for putting this in a sub 80k car
Can this ACC be toggled on or off or its permanent - no choice from driver?

AV version just nice.
Test drove this vehicle and overall couldn’t complain for the price being reasonable for a 7 seater with many new current safety features. This vehicle looked smart in white but I couldn’t accept the black colour. Probably the external look that I don’t like is the third side window shape design.
but the brown and red even silver looks good i seen recently

Can't go wrong with this. Bigger than vios, more adas than city hybrid, at the price lower than both of them.
Can’t compare Alza and Vios and City as different categories though are same segment. Even so, honestly, Vios and Alza are good but better than City. Both of Vios and Alza comes with BSM, RCTA and 360 camera as City don’t have. Reliability for Vios and Alza are also better than City. Even interior and exterior for Vios and Alza looks nicer than City
@@esk4105 people are comparing anyway. Alza is the most "value for money" sort of. The proof is, within the first week of its launching, there were already almost 30k of bookings, unlike the ativa. It can also be considered as value for money, but not as crazy as Alza

do agree with GC, not because he is quite handsome..the coil mat from gear up is not quite good. Trap dust very easily and its hard to get rid rather than trapo one. But one thing about perodua, noticed that the 3rd rear light somehow selalu rosak tak menyala. myvi, alza, axia..thats makes who is tailgating perodua car pls be more alert.
Those are the old normal bulb type 3rd brake lights. The new LED types don't burn out and are far brighter
Imo better than aruz ,lower center of gravity thus better ride less airdrag good for family car engine is 'enough" for Malaysian driver standard.

well i love this car so much especially in white (well my dad love this car in white) we are planning one for us very soon in av variant but for now not to be confirmed with my dad (but i already seen ten units on the public road recently)

My friend kecam me for this but i think the Alza could pass as a "mpv wagon" due to its low stance. Like the Odyssey RB1 or maybe even Caldina or AD Resort

Drove the H spect at LTU yesterday with other 1 adult & a kid, it strugglers a bit but ok..handling is 78% nice...the air blower flap works...how tall is the reviewer?

Test drove the car. Don't know why the suspension is so crashy & hard. Even more noticeable if seated at the back. Jalan jauh confirm sakit pinggang.

A complete upgrade from the previous model. But I would like to say that the interior colour scheme is obnoxious. Why don't they just stick with all black or even black and grey.
Nowadays every perodua cars must have red accent everywhere to make it look more "sporty" and the result is ugly

It is trend nowaday. Don't you see gamers and every pc now got rgb lighting? Younger people like to play with colours. If it comes with rgb lighting under feet compartment sure everyone will take about it
its based on market research. market loves it. the 40k bookings proves that. Just because you dont like it doesnt mean that everybody else is the same as you.

Tapi, kalau kau nk upgrade safety, alza lagi baik. Cuma ride dgn premium tu akan downgrade sikit. Test drive dulu. Aku ade sedan yg berat dgn ativa. Best bwk sedan, smooth, naik bonggol lembut. Aku bwk ativa naik bonggol langgar lubang punye la bergoyang kereta. Tapi yela suv kan. Yg best nye ativa lincah. Aku boleh bwk ativa lagi laju dri sedan tu. Sedan takleh ganas sgt nanti sagat. Haha

5:48 that's quite odd, given the fact that its equivalent, that is the Avanza, gets telescopic adjustment for the 1.5 liter models, which also includes all variants of the Veloz.
but seat and steering position it's quite good for this alza despite didn't have telescopic adjustment i sitting in a driver's seat even my father testing it
Believe me, you can live with it. It is not a big deal at all.
