- Alex Brundle heads down to Swiftune Engineering to start putting the Brundle Motorsport Mini together.
Day one involves the ‘pre paint’ work, to make sure the chassis doesn’t need any more holes, changes or mounting points before it goes to paint.
This one has been a long time in the making so stage tuned through this series to see how the build progresses.

You had me at Classic Mini. My first car was a 1972 Mini Clubman.
Happy days ...
1974 998CC Mini in purest mustard colour 😂
Cannot wait for the next one!
Another Awesome Video Alex, I race a Hyundai Excel (might have to look it up) in Australia, through ur videos I’ve really developed a love of all things classic motorsport! Love it keep it up and if you’re ever in Australia come show me how to drive my race car properly 🏎️
I don't very often giggle while by myself but I did watching this. Great stuff 👍
Can't wait for the next part of this one, Alex!
Great video 👌
More focus and rebuild details on the car please!
awesome video, loved it!
The best race car there is 😜
Looks great
again a awsome video!
The seat to steering wheel position look like a go kart, especially from the goodwood in car video
wooo
Great video Alex, although the build might take a while if your helping!!!
Hahahaha they are flat out in the background so two steps forward. One back:
I assume the regulations allow you to use the later remote gear linkage rather than the mk1 pudding stick.
@@ChrisandHeathervanlife it’s a 4 speed dog box as well. So all racing internals. The original gearboxes are just incapable of racing speed
Is that a complete new shell?
Recovered shell
I wish I never sold my '81 998 Mini City - I need to win the lottery now to get another! 😢
You need £10k for a decent one as I’m finding out
I wondered what happened to the banners from Goodwood...now i know..
Haha rumbled
Pull it all back out to paint the shell now?
Yes, had to make sure we didn’t have to put any more holes in
I know it’s dreadfully cheesy, but any chance of a Mr Bean livery/style? :)
Hahaha no!
@@BrundleBTW Thanks for the reply. best of luck with the Mini. I’m glad to see your affection for hardtop Mustangs vs fastbacks. :) I have a 65 V8 with a four speed. A glorious beast. :)
@@lunarweasel our notchback is wild on track. A real beast
