@@randomrandy3059 At present, in Asia, there is no difference except for South Korea and Japan. These lower requirements will initially be implemented in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Taiwan, and South Korea.

It doesn’t always do this the more content you have out there the better so YT can figure out what your niche is. Also you want to retain your viewers and have them watching your content for longer.

But what If my channel is mostly based on shorts? Because i dont think that they count towards watch hours, and when I actaully post a normal video it does terribly ( im not an amazing editor so thats maybe the reason )
