- My Onewheel adventures started about a year ago when I met a couple of videographers that had Onewheels. We made a video that reached all the way across the country, catching the attention of the makers of the Onewheel, Future Motion. They invited us to visit them and they made me my own custom board unique for my riding style!

I wish they could make a type where you can rest your nubs on a sort of ridge to where you are not only doing all work with the weight on you arms, it looks really cool though and like a lot of fun.... just so nice to think of new designs of those boards, it was nice to see how they evolved in making them.. thanks for sharing those clips

It must be truly incredible for you to have OneWheel and Boosterboard, not just for the fun aspect and utility too. At first i thought why dont you use wheelchair, but when i given it deeper thought i realized how walking on arms can be much better than wheelchair which complicates everything tight spaces, with stairs etc..

Great video, I'd never considered how these new electric boards could be used by people without legs. Seems like it would open up a whole range freedom beyond what you'd get with a normal skateboard. My only question is whether you've had any close calls with running out of juice far from home. It seems like it would be pretty hard to lug the thing home but typically I'd assume you always have a backup plan which is probably can just to call a cab.
Jacob Paint I mainly use my boosted board for just getting around like in stores or whatever, and it has died on me once, but it was very minor, rode it like a regular board for a few minutes so been pretty lucky with not running out of juice
A normal skateboard is better for a person with legs, and a electric one if best for someone without legs

Did the OW open up new fun places to ride for you, beyond the reach of normal skateboards? Like trails and stuff? I love riding trails with the OW and often take long detours just to shred some. :)
MusicByproduct Yeah, the folks at Future Motion were a really cool bunch, had a great time just hanging out with those guys. And ya I really do like the fact that the OW can go pretty much anywhere and not limited to sidewalks or whatever. I haven’t done any trail riding cause I do like to stay on fairly smooth surfaces haha, A flat grass field is as far as I go off road usually lol

Hey, I'm just wondering (with the hub motor being electromagnetic n'all) if you could consider making the the nub shoe holster electromagnetically clamp on to the fender when the board is activated, and offer some cushioning weight support as well as perhaps some increased control?. Just brainstorming, and it may just add too much weight and significantly reduce battery duration but I can image an electromagnetic point of contact with a bearing which would lock you on when you activate the board and still allow for pivotal rotation from down there. I guess this would also require the nub shoe holster to be semi rigid round the front to support you around the back

This is probably a dumb question but have you ever tried standing on the rear and balancing by leaning forward onto the front with both hands?
Only once, when I was in a limbo contest, and it was extremely difficult.
You hopping off the table was terrifying to watch but I have a very rude question. How to do go to the bathroom and such? I have so many questions but cant ask
I haven't really covered bathroom related issues, but I explain a few things in my "What happened to me" video.

I think they should make the wheel cover stock, i bet it traps all the debris of the road that might get thrown at you while you ride.
A thing you could sit in such as a 'baby walker' looking thing except smaller and powered, would be nice for you...save some wear on your arms and elbows. Not a powered wheelchair and not a baby walker...but a high tech powered babywalker styled peice of equipment that you place your lower torso in. ...like a 'robot walker'.

The grooves do prevent that, however, when I first started riding, I tried a board with fangs and that also prevented me from crushing my fingers, so I guess I always had that option. Being able to comfortably keep the sensors active really helped more than anything. I'm happy to be a member of the OW fam. I still need to go to a float fest though haha
