Ever since the original diamond and pearl I have unintentionally been playing/buying every blue colored version of the games bc they matched my blue ds lite and eventually my 3ds so it’s only right I keep tradition and get diamond and if that’s not enough to convince me I have always preferred the legendary dogs over the birds and the ramparados line has always been my favorite fossil mon

Well I think it just depends on the Pokémon you want. I personally have never trained and had a team with a Scizor or Alakazam, so I might play Diamond first. I have both games and teams I want to use so I am pumped.
I got diamond last time, I’m using salamence this time. I personally think the birds are better than the dogs..and I love Lugia. Only thing I’m going to miss out on is gliscor w poison heal. But i have Pokémon home so it’s fine, but gliscor won’t be on my team this go around
The dogs are actually better because they don’t have flying type weakness.

Apparently Houndoom is available in both versions of the game in the underground. This is thought to be because of the lack of fire type pokemon in the games.
Still can't believe that DP only had chimchar and ponyta before post game lol

Omg that is so good I literally was only upset because I wouldn’t get shining pearl as tyranitar and agron outweigh houndoom but I really wanted houndoom so this is AWESOME news for me

I was going to go with Shining Pearl, but I realised that I already get the three legendary birds in Lets Go Pikachu, and I get Lugia in Shield, so I should probably go with Diamond because I've never gotten to play gold and silver, so I missed out on Ho-Oh and the three doggos and don't really have any other opportunity to see them

I pre ordered the double pack a while ago because I absolutely love gen 4. When I found out they came out with this remake, I got super excited.
I had Pokémon Pearl a kid but I’ve recently started playing Pokémon Diamond solely to get Tyranatar And if I’m gonna pick it would go brilliant diamond plus I prefer the legendary dogs to the birds

This is kind of a hard decision for me because I've never played diamond or Pearl, I only played Platinum when it comes to 4th gen

I like Palkia more than Dialga, and Pearl’s legendary exclusives are better. But I like the normal pokémon exclusives in Diamond more
Not only do I love Lugia, but I've had Pokemon Pearl since I was a kid. Funny story, I had someone else's save file with a whole bunch of stuff, like two jirachi's. I didn't want that to go to waste so I put their save file in pokemon battle revolution and deleted the save on the game to start fresh. Kinda regret the decision but I got Jirachi in shining pearl so win-win!
So what if i get pearl, but want entei? Think it'll be possible to trade from maybe heart gold?

Honestly thanks to the dynamax adventure in swsh I have all the legendaries that are in bdsp, in my pokemon home account I'm just getting the game to get a "legit" Darkrai and shayman for the first time 🤷

Im getting brilliant diamond the only thing ill be jealous of from pearl is salamence but in brilliant diamond there is tyranitar which is an amazing pokemon i do also prefer the beasts over the birds the birds at first were cool but ive caught them so many times its boring now i wish we could get xerneas and yveltal tho

I think I'm definitely going with Shining Pearl, mostly because I'm playing through Arceus at the moment and I kind of like the Pearl clan a little better, LOL!
I’ve always gone with the first title red, x, sword in the past. I’ll start with the second title with pearl. I like lugia and the birds.
I like lugia but to me the birds are boring bc of how many times ive caught them im excited for groudon and kyogre and giratina
I agree with wanting to play Brilliant Diamond first bc I, too, love me some Tyranitar and I haven't really given Electabuzz a chance to be on my team, so there's that; along with Skunktank...but SP has Lugia, and I do love me some Lugia. This will be hard for sure

Everyone usually goes for the first name in the Pokémon title and it’s true for this game since I’ve seen a lot of streams for diamond like for sword and shield having sword. Makes sense though becuase it’s a better safe then sorry situation if you don’t know much about the differences or go with majority. I can’t wait to play this game after I get it today and of course it’s diamond
I am looking forward to get both Pokemon brilliant diamond and Pokemon shining pearl games for Christmas🎄. I also would liked to play as Dawn and choose Piplup as my starter Pokemon so I can do better than the anime Dawn and what Piplup would never do. And that is catching more Pokemon and evolve Piplup into Prinplup and then to Empoleon.
However when I was watching UA-cam of any ideas what to expect on Pokemon brilliant diamond and Pokemon shining pearl, but when I was looking to find out about Wonder Trade that I've just found out today that at the moment is unavailable😱. I mean it isn't fair because I was looking forward to get both Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl games for Christmas and I was hoping to used Wonder Trade for any Pokemon I want. Now I'm going to have to wait in early January to hear more news at that what I though it's going to happen😒.

My pick is Brilliant Diamond as Diamond was my first pokemon game when I had a DS lite as a kid. Then the cherry on top, Ho-Oh and the 3 legendary dogs. Oof.
I’ll get Shining Pearl mainly because I have chosen the legendary dogs before and I want to try playing with Lugia and the birds, I also think Palkia is kinda cool although I’ll miss playing with a Tyranitar

The beauty of these games is that you don't know what your team will be unless you planned it. The only one I plan on is picking Turtwig. However, I'll pick chimchar if I get both versions

As someone who plays brilliant diamond slowpoke, hondour, and glam meow and there evolutions are in brilliant diamond
Shining Pearl just for the magmortar line and I prefer Palkia a tad bit over Dialga
Magmortar is the main reason I was on the fence, but I ended up going for Diamond since pokemon home will eventually work with it and I have a couple shiny magby there

I bought Gold after SoulSilver (age thing) and Alpha Sapphire after Ruby. But will have Diamond and Brilliant Diamond.
But my (Pokémon) generation is D&P, I can't bring myself to NOT go Dialga.
Also note, Lugia is better than Ho-oh though...

Yes ho-oh is my favorite legendary bird but reyquaza is always a fan favorite plus legendary birds are better than the beast so pearl for me
*HA HA HA!* I've never played a Pokémon game, because here in Australia games are expensive; normally these are $80 each, and that's a lot of money for something I'm not sure I will like. I've always wanted to try one though - for obvious reasons - and today my game store is having a One Day Sale. For today only they are $39 each, which means I can give one a try and sell it later for the same amount, so this is my opportunity. However, every video I click on about which one to buy assumes I have played Pokémon before, so it's like watching videos in Greek! Thanks for the video, but I have no idea what you're talking about half the time, and still have no idea which one I should buy!

Im an early gen player gen wunner and respectfully gen 2 diamond was the last year i played them new. Ive had the birds more than i can count but i have to say i like the beast trio better. Its a tough line in the sand as I played Silver always vs gold Lugia is a loss and i wanted to pick pearl because dialga and the disregard for physics dialga beating snorlax for heaviest when onix and steelix not to mention gyrados should weigh more. Onixs head should be 2000 lbs but 28 ft rock serpent weighs less than my ex girlfriends dad at 400 something and golem weighed more anywho. I played diamond and as soon as i got dialga I felt like i had a cyborg horse. And in space all is infinite time is linear to us but its relative if palkia summons a super massive black hole all that orbit it have super condensed time due to gravity such as 1 hour there being 7 years on earth like in Interstellar and that gives Palkia the edge the Design is better but, a lot of ppl will hate this qnd partly due to garbage moves or lack therof for Tyranitar in its original 4x weak to fighting and rock is inferior to ground always dark is a defensive type and with rock it makes each weaker than the sum of their parts instead of 2x fighting water grass resistant to bug flying fire. Adding dark to a rock type takes 5 weaknesses of x2 and makes fighting x4 and adds fairy and robs your advantage on bugs taking a .5 to a double. Scyther had a 4x to rock 2x fire, elec, ice, and flying his own typing. 3 resists and 1 immunity to ground. But with no stat increase just relocating speed to defenses equal and dumping the rest in attack, then from flying to steel type. Trade 4x weakness of rock away and take 4x fire and now he resists fairy, steel, dragon, .25 for psychic and grass and former weakness to ice is resisted, immune to poison and sandstorm. Outspeed a fire attack with agility and its like scythers 137 base speed again 3xcept fire is the only threat and 67 points 25 for attack and the rest makes you bulletproof. I cant have my team without him so i need diamond on the bright side my only gripe is mascot more or less the other exclusives Aggron cranidos are the stronger team but ill miss lugia and articuno they beat ho-oh and Suicume but Raikou is a sabertooth thunder cat, kind of a glass cannon but when has zapdos survived a rock slide or jolteon an earthquake fast and hard.
I got Aron/Lairon and Poocheyna/Mighteyna on DP.
I am gonna get shining pearl because i like all the legendaries in that game and the version exclusives don't really matter to me im not really q fan of the version exclusives in these games

I bought Shining Pearl last week and I remember playing the original Pearl version growing up.
Because of the version exclusives I want to get pearl. But my first game was platinum so I feel like I'm at a huge disadvantage to decide which one to get lol I want both but I don't feel like I need both. I could buy both I just am having a hard time justifying it but....I I want both but I also don't really NEED both. You see my dilemma? Lol

This is a hard decision for me. I admit I like Dialga more than Palika, but I also like the legendary Birds more than the Legendary Cats (Yes, there are cats, not dogs ). I grew up playing Pokemon DX on game cube. I may go with Pearl since it has more Pokemon I'm fond of. Thank you for the information, most appreciated.
