As someone who sat next to you in art class and got to witness the freshman cheer squad almost daily from the drama kid basketball player prospective, this is brilliant and nostalgic. It's funnier knowing the names and when you said Alexis after I'd had the name in my head for a minute a half plus, I started crying.

Nothing makes sexual harrasment or abuse of any kind okay and to be forced to wear the sexualized outfit throughout a school day (and the sexualized nature of cheerleading outfits is it's own issue imo) is horrible.
You seem to have become stronger through your experiences though, and not only is that a tremendous testament to your character and resiliency, but more importantly it is *the single best way to beat your haters, bullies, and creeps as well as their enablers* so you are fckin killin' it on and off the stage!

I dated a gal who was in her early 30's at the time who had been a high school cheerleader. She told me a funny story that was similar that I wish I remembered more details of now. She wasnt very committed and basically got benched for skipping a practice for a doctor appointment or something and they were threatening to kick her off the team. So she told the coach to "go fuck yourself." That pretty much sealed her fate. I don't think my ex was too broken up about it, as she also was much more into smoking weed and dropping acid and going to Grateful Dead concerts.

Back in HS, I got in trouble for calling a girl a "tart" in english class. She didn't know what it meant, initially.. so she looked it up after school, and the next day in english class, she told the teacher... had to explain that to my parents

I would think everyone would love her in a school but that's not the case
When you graduate from high school you should immediately get the hell away from it and create a new life. If not you'll be in your 30's before you know it with the same people thinking your still queen of the pep squad or a jock who's high point in life was scoring touchdowns that got you laid by the hot girls and then it was all down hill to some mundane job and picking out your burial spot in the local cemetery.
