Last month i started collecting pokemon in general. I picked 151 and temporal forces. I opened 4 etbs 1 zapdos collection and one binder collection. Still many cards to go!

People may not believe me but last month I opened my first packs of 151 (I'd been out of the loop with Pokémon since the back end of SwSh). I bought 2 Zapdos boxes on sale and I pulled not only the Charizard but also Chameleon and Charmander in my very first pack... absolutely insane luck and I refuse to open any more now 😂

@@thepokemonks haha I don't plan to! I don't think they are PSA 10 worthy unfortunately so I will probably pick up the Bulbasaur and Squirtle lines and have a nice binder page for them ☺️
That’s a good plan. Card quality from 151 is actually really bad. None of my charizard, blastoise or venusaur are psa 10 worthy…
I’ve only opened 4 packs so far from a Zapdos box so far. It’s going to be the next set my son and I collect.

Actually i was very unlucky didnt got many crazy cards from 151, the best was SIR Zapdos and for that i opend way to many packs, im now at around 110 packs.
Now i know that i can selll my bulk at least so i can get the cards i want.

Not a single pack. I almost only collect Japanese and the prices were always way too high for me to rip. But since the prices are falling due to the reprint, I'm tempted to open my first display soon. Buying the individual cards isn't as much fun as pulling them myself, but it's better for my wallet.
That’s a solid strategy, i think IF you want to open up some japanese 151, this could be a really good timing. Did you already have the chance to compare the holo quality from 151 japanese with english? I’m thinking about picking up some duplicates in japanese for my collection.
At 151 I couldn't compare the cards yet.
But I got back into the hobby when I opened a VSTAR Universe display in Tokyo and was really disappointed when I ripped my first Crown Zenith booster back at home. The print quality and texture is unfortunately so much better on Japanese cards. They also missed a huge opportunity with the Master Ball reverse holo. If 151 is really that bad, I have one more reason to stick with Japanese.

Actually i was very Lucky and had the charizard in my first order, what was the poster collection, the Binder collection and one ETB 😍🙌🏻
That’s crazy! Was it quick after release? In my experience pull rates were much better back then compared to now. I pulled my zard out of my 2nd booster bundle!
I only opened 1 UPC and a booster box, still haven’t got the card.
Pullrates are so difficult these days for 151, pulled 1 jynx out of my last 2 booster bundles 😂😂
So far opened 2 UPC and 2 ETBs and still no Charizard. 😢.

I was lucky. Around 30 packs opened with my daughter and we pulled the Zard. 😊
Although, it had skratch on the back side right out of the pack. Printing quality is so poor.. But we had so much fun anyway. 😂

1 UPC, 1 ETB, 1 Zapdos, 1 Poster, 1 Binder. rarest I got is zapdos SIR, amongst regular IR
