- Today I will be reviewing my FAVOITE coffee mug of all time. This mug has worked perfect for commuting on a motorcycle, in the truck, and just walking around at work. It looks pretty nice too!

How does the snap guard button work? Is it a push pull? as the grey knob does neither, i am just pushing the filter down to as far as it goes...is that correct or? Thanks for your help in advance
Yes, you are correct!
It's more of a handle than a button. The little clips on the outside need to all have even pressure on the rim if you're going for the satisfying sound, otherwise pushing down till you feel it seated and it does not wiggle is all you need.
Have you experienced any odor from the mug after storing hot contents in it for a couple hours? Some people say the rubber in the lid starts to pollute the mug when subjected to heat.
I have not noticed anything, but do know people typically smash that gasket way too tight. This can cause damage, exposing the inside of the rubber polluting the beverage.
As long as you do finger tight in a cold mug after pouring hot liquid in it the expansion as it heats will create a great seal and prevent gasket damage!
Doesn't the ceramic coating make the worst smell and taste. I bought two of them thinking it was the one I bought, but I had the same issue with the second one. Once I went to drink the coffee and I litterally had to spit it out it was so bad. I did everything to clean it, boiled it, baking soda, leaving it out in the sun, NOTHING would get the smell out!! sucks because I love everything else about it 🤷♀
Oh no! I have not had that experience, you may want to reach out to their support as it sounds like a manufacturing issue.
After a good hot wash and rinse, mine had no aroma or flavor when filled with just water.
