  • This is a hill that I struggle to walk up, and now it’s definitely a struggle To ride up. This hill is probably a 7% grade going up and I’m probably doing about 8 or 9 mph going up this hill. I always enjoy challenging myself on hills but it’s always amazing to me that as great of physical shape that I feel like I’m in, it seems like I’m never prepared to go up a hill like this. I think that’s the drawback of a recumbent trike is when it’s time to go up some of those daunting hills I definitely have a lot more to carry, especially since I’ve got the carbon fiber storage compartment on the back of my trike.
As you watch this video it starts out at our local YMCA in Garner and at the bottom of the parking lot of the YMCA, there’s an entrance into White Deer Park. And that’s where this ride begins. I think this is probably one of the more scenic videos maybe it’s because it’s the fall maybe it’s because of how the trail is constructed.of the trail is its construction. This trail is less than 5 miles. I found this video to be mesmerizing.
This ride was about a 15-mile ride altogether. The other part is you want to see me go through some beautiful residential areas and you want to see me go past Lake Benson.
    Closing Remarks
    a. Thank you for helping me grow this channel and watching the video until the end
    b. I appreciate your support and feedback
    c. I’m the motivated Rider and hopefully, something that was expressed in this video will encourage you to ride long and hard.

I love to see people ride recumbent trike, but I can't afford to buy one even KMX trike. My impression to all vlog from you sir and to all velomobile and trike a round the world to make a vlog next year's but first to find a sponsor to buy KMX to support my business and to my vlog.

Love your videos! I have a similar climb near me, up the Niagara Escarpment. It's only about a mile long, but the 8% grade really gives me a workout.
    Keep those gorgeous videos coming!

I admit I don’t worry about my speed rather I want to be in a good rhythm in terms of cadence and breathing. The speed will do what the conditions and terrain allow.

The thing I learned is to be in the right gear going uphill. I learned that you have to be in the hill gear way before you reach the bottom and then going up seems easy.

Well, you are motivating me. Looks like a good cruising speed. Love the big beautiful homes in scenic Raleigh. Gave up my DF to a low back injury now looking for a trike. Miss riding so much it beats walking all to heck. Peddle on!

@@themotivatedrider3840 yup, can't wait to find a trike that will work for me. My go fast days are behind me, but I remember them in my mind. I'll live vicariously through your go fast videos.

Hill climbing on a recumbent trike is always a challenge. No standing up on the pedals to power your way up the hill. We had about 6 inches of fresh snow on Saturday. Riding to work on Monday - only a few miles each way, but this should make things a little more interesting.

It was about 0 F this morning. Winter Jacket, balaclava, 2 pairs of gloves. 3 miles felt like 30 in places where the city used too much salt in their sand mix.

Great ride and video. Hills can be conquered with good rhythm in cadence and proper gearing and approaching them properly. I did a long trail ride yesterday and it was so gorgeous here in New England yesterday that I did a tour of my community on trike( I usually don’t ride in my community as it is very hilly, winding roads and cars tend to drive in the middle of the road) and filmed and posted it. Check it out. I rode up an enormous hill to get back to my section..... I got around the neighborhood and ended up way down at the lowest end and said $%#&% ....I have to get back now. Grade of near15- 20 for about 1/4 mile but I zipped right up it . Enjoyed your video. Thanks for posting.
