- Did you know that Princess Charlotte has already made history as the first royal woman not to be displaced by a younger brother in the line of succession. Even after the birth of Prince Louis, Charlotte remained fourth in line to the British throne, while Louis ranks fifth. This was made possible by changes to Britain's oldest Act of Succession from 1701. In 2013, when William and Catherine were expecting their first child, the country's government decided to end discrimination and, in case their first child was a girl, give her the right to one day become Queen of the UK.
She reminds me so much of Prince William mixed with The Queen, her great grandmother ☺️

Agreed that Anne and Charlotte would probably make wonderful queens. We know Anne would already. But it wouldn’t change much. If it has changed earlier it would just make her eighth in line now. Charles was always the oldest and he already has kids and grandkids so it’s kind of moot at this point.

@rachmunshine9474 yes she will ALWAYS be princess royal...princess royal is the title given to the first born daughter of the reigning monarch. I haven't read anywhere that "she" couldn't be the princess of Wales and princess royal as the princess royal title can be given at any age where the prince of Wales title is given when the prince or princess come of age
Princess Charlotte is so gorgeous. She has such poise and grace, she truly is an amazing little girl. She is a great role model. I love watching her grow. ❤

Louis is the only one who have a chance to be good looking so far, but there's something else I'm wondering - why all 3 kids ended up with brown eyes after their dad has bright blue eyes and their mom green? I hoped at least one of them would inherit blue eyes, but nope. Unfortunately not.

@Mom2Aiden08 yep wrong lol.....princess Margaret AND Princess Anne have worn a tiara or 2 prior to marriage. I think what you're thinking of is when they are married the woman can no longer wear "her family" tiaras but that of her husband and his family.

I am American, almost 60. I was saddened when Princess Diana died so young. I admire William & Katherine. I like most of the royals. I have always thought Charlotte resembles the late Queen Elizabeth II. she seems spunky, yet mature, self aware. With a gorgeous mother to guide her, I see a bright future for her. I have visited England twice, enjoyed my time there.

If Princess Ann had been first born, Charles still would have been king! Before they all got married and had children of their own the succession was Charles, Andrew, Edward, Ann. Male heirs came in front of females regardless of when they were born!

George seems so cute but Charlotte seems like a natural born leader. She should honestly be queen one day if that even will exist as she gets older and she would want to.
I think one fundamental difference between Harry (as the "spare") and Charlotte/Louis is that Charlotte and Louis have each other. As George is being raised to inherit the throne, neither Charlotte nor Louis will be made to feel like "just a spare". And Charlotte is already such a mother hen to Louis that I think they'll have each other's backs when they grow up.

After that the new monarch will be his oldest son Prince George. After that will be his oldest son and so on. So Charlotte will be in the line after her nephews and nieces.
