Poor Juulsen gets absolutely no respect from you guys, despite showing more consistency and solidness in his defensive game. Increased confidence only comes when a player gets a chance to play more consistently. Come on give the guy a chance! After all, he was a first-round Montreal draft pick at one point. Yes, he is a late bloomer, but let's not write him off yet as he is just beginning to show promise and comfort in the Canucks lineup. Maybe, it's time to demote Sekeres and Price to the farm team!
We've all watched him enough to know he's a #7 fill in guy. Not a dick thing to say, some people just don't live up to their draft ranking unfortunately.
@@callumpistell1574 Well, unfortunately, due to salary cap restrictions, every team has become more reliant on the feed of cheaper player prospects from their farm systems to stay under the cap, so disrespecting and taking away playing opportunities for players that actually help you do this is nothing but a game of futile hubris. Listening to some of these hockey analysts, they seem to turn a blind eye to this reality and act like the Canucks should just somehow find money to spend on a puck-moving defenceman; however, they also throw out names like Tyson Barrie or Justin Schultz. I'd rather underspend on a team prospect like Juulsen, Friedman, or Hirose than overspend on the aforementioned players in the Twilight of their careers, who are most often one-dimensional and highly overpaid for their actual point production and services.
@@ChrisOnCanucks OK good, so arty can play under 40 games this season (as either 1A/1B split w/ lankinen, or backup to demko) & no risk of losing him to waivers...idk why j-pat is suggesting they put him on waivers & send him down
We need to set up competition between pp1 and pp2.

Fair, but he's basically a number 7 guy.
He played 50 games last year he has been given an opportunity

Might be too much to hope that Canucks coaches can get more out of every d-man that comes into the organisation. Worked for Myers and Juulsen though.
Brannstrom - Juulsen
3rd/4th pair is nice 👍🏻

send silovs down on waivers? no no no (that’s a good way to lose him for nothing in return
He’s not eligible for waivers until he plays 41 more games in the NHL
