The new college town layout reminds me so much of "the commons" Ithaca, NY! Where I grew up in and is home to Cornell. Brought a lot of joy to see the little split in the road that looks like the commons, and me somehow remembering of it haha.
Fyi, the trains have to go all the way to the outside connection, to then turn around to get from Bixton to the train station in the new city. You should probably provide a cross-over for the trains from platform 1 & 2 to the other side. Edit: or you could change the platform these trains arrive at, right now there just isn’t a direct connection between Bixton train station and platform 1 & 2 in the new station.
I know it is an American inspired city but you really need to use more free flowing junctions and roundabouts as you circle or expand the city to really get the most out of it
I think a good name for the college city is bixton valley. Maybe bixton tech, bixton state, bixton a&m. I have no clue, but I’m trying to help😂. Also, if you could add a football stadium, that would be super cool
Thank you sir for this complete series!! Im learning a tremendous amount of "how to" info about this game!! you've opened my eyes bigtime regarding what is possible to do in playing this game! Thank you and keep these awesome clips coming!!!!
I suggest you to continue the highway of the north instead of it just meeting with the highway around just make it continue to your highway you have in the city for there could be less traffic
I think the "greenness" of the telecom towers' area depends on the concentration of your population. More people uses more bandwidth so the circle is less green, that's why suburbs get better internet service in-game
a perfect example of style of city you're going for is kansas city mo and kansas city ks, as of now they're almost the same city, but kansas city mo actually came first and eventually built into kansas city ks making the metro area
Here are some city names: Armon, Hadesta, Belton, Mordel, San Brixton in Spanish (Saint Brixton in English), Paulos, Hempton, São Bixton in Portugese, Mandeville, Auson, Glennmiur, Denbigh, Aunex, Brixton Hall, Forth Worth or Manchester.
On the high rent issue, Biffa has found lot size matter. It seems like the natural inclination is for a 3x5 or 4x5 space. Try some 2x4 or other smaller plots for people wanting smaller houses.
you should make a bus line in the new city thats just going to all the new schools and the train staition so the college students don`t have to walk to the college
I am so late but some good names would be ( A-Z ) Amersham Auburn Ayrfields Barton Bellington Billow Park Brest Burgundy Acres Carfield Chipon Cowney & Cowney Colleges Cudar De Marto Dugley Eastwald Eddie West Eurmont Farley Fawthorne Friedland Groston Gwent ( Gwydllith ) Happy Hunter Idosean Iowa Ivy League Jasper Jessing Kingsbury Lance Lexington Lyon Lytlan Ordien Parkland Petherton Petro Pixton Purley Queen's St. Mary's Township Rocky Bay Russell Santa Maria Shrew Sibberton Susadlae Tuckney Tylerville Union Union St. Pancras Valhammer Victor Wyatt York York St. Hugo's Zara Zinc
Love the college town, is the train between the main city and the new town not on the wrong line though? Looks like the one its on heads out of the map rather than back towards the city.
Not going to lie watching your basic road lay out as you call it shows me i know nothing about how to set up a road system in these kind of games. you used roads i didn't think was all that great the one way and then your on ramps and such was really interesting how you did it know that isn't in the first game or if it is then i have never seen anyone else do that. very cool going to have to watch more of your video's because I apparently need to learn a great deal about how to set up just the roads i dread to see the mistakes i made with everything else. lol. though my cities always go bankrupt very fast.
i was also exporting all my garbage, until i put down a recycling center. the recycled goods get sold, and I saw my city's income skyrocket (however it seemed to get more variable through the day cycle, still netting extremely positive).
It would be a good Idea to Name the college UT or University of Texas or maybe Norte Dame in Indiana or My Favorite one the University of Toronto in Ontario Canada because when I was built it was not connected to the main city and then in around 1920 it was finally connected to the city so I think it would be a good fit for the town
When I see city skylines 2 it makes me wanna tweark so bad because it was only available for just a few days and I want it so bad because I play on an Xbox one and it says it's unavailable!
Isn't the Garbage Trade under Service trades rather than services? I believe if you click on service trades it will list off the things that your are Exporting/importing Would imagine the Service tab shows your buildings and their upkeep. Find it odd you pay nothing for it.
Instead of the generic college you've already placed, wouldn't it be better to have the technical and medical campuses? They do raise education like the college ,right?
A suspension bridge between the cities would look really cool, maybe with an island in between the 2
YES
Totalpy awsume yes golden gate bridge
@@dustind3960 That's the Bay bridge that has that island in the middle.
You read my mind
RCE would be proud of you👍👍
Auburn would be a cool name, it's also a city in the Seattle-Tacoma area!
I second the name Auburn.
Auburn is nice
I love that name!
Or: hear me out, Bellevue

I came to comment the same!

You should add the technical university and/or the medical university over there
Great video! Man I love your choice of music when you do your quick builds... really funky.
I love when you do these random episodes- it keeps it so interesting. Love this city so far!!
I looked up "Cities Skylines 2" on UA-cam, and this video was the first result, so congratulations, "Timeister!" I am now a fan of your channel
same bro
CPP believe the cell towers coverage is affected by the usage and not height. I don’t know which way it is though.
I suggest you to continue the highway of the north instead of it just meeting with the highway around just make it continue to your highway you have in the city for there could be less traffic
um more timelapses please. those jams were top notch
I think the "greenness" of the telecom towers' area depends on the concentration of your population. More people uses more bandwidth so the circle is less green, that's why suburbs get better internet service in-game
This area should be part of Greater Bixton
a perfect example of style of city you're going for is kansas city mo and kansas city ks, as of now they're almost the same city, but kansas city mo actually came first and eventually built into kansas city ks making the metro area
Something like timberville?, i can imagine your forest industry been located near there.
"Bixton" sounds like "Bigs ton," so why not Lilton for the new city?
You can put some ferries to connect the cities
music is criminally good
Berton as the new city name?
It goes well together-Bixton and Burton.
Edit: Came up with Brighton and Bruford just now.
Here are some city names: Armon, Hadesta, Belton, Mordel, San Brixton in Spanish (Saint Brixton in English), Paulos, Hempton, São Bixton in Portugese, Mandeville, Auson, Glennmiur, Denbigh, Aunex, Brixton Hall, Forth Worth or Manchester.
Would love to see you do a live stream man! Love your builds!
ok i got to give it to you you are one of the best rode manager i have seen on yt but your zoning needs help
You should make a road directly to the freeway and the highway connecting to the college town
Great music during the Timelapse ❤
On the high rent issue, Biffa has found lot size matter. It seems like the natural inclination is for a 3x5 or 4x5 space. Try some 2x4 or other smaller plots for people wanting smaller houses.
You do want server farms and large radio tower amd radio towers
you should make a bus line in the new city thats just going to all the new schools and the train staition so the college students don`t have to walk to the college

Love the college town, is the train between the main city and the new town not on the wrong line though? Looks like the one its on heads out of the map rather than back towards the city.
There's also a line going from the main city to the edge of the map
Great freaking sound track!
The college town should have some low rent housing 👀
Make a seperate IT farm somewhere between the college town and main town consisting of all offices in which people can arrive from both the towns.

Focus on pedestrians, biking, and transit and it’s very hard to go bankrupt. Roads kill your bank
i was also exporting all my garbage, until i put down a recycling center. the recycled goods get sold, and I saw my city's income skyrocket (however it seemed to get more variable through the day cycle, still netting extremely positive).

In my opinion the area behind City Hall should be left as a green space.
The new college town needs a bus network.
Coming soon!
American grid style gives me anxiety like why do you hate corners so much 😭
Maybe call it felborough
You know what's not cool about cities skylines 2 tiles purchasing? That you just can't play the entire map in the first place.
u could have used elavation tool instead of transforming the terrain
Are you from the Seattle area? I live up in Sequim. Great videos
volume is too loud on everyone's videos except mine
why do you set volume to 200%
when i build a road in the game, the screen goes orange-yellowish and i cant see anything. how to fix?
When I see city skylines 2 it makes me wanna tweark so bad because it was only available for just a few days and I want it so bad because I play on an Xbox one and it says it's unavailable!
U could ad a prison to your city, I think it needs one.
you should name the college town "Brighton"
Isn't the Garbage Trade under Service trades rather than services? I believe if you click on service trades it will list off the things that your are Exporting/importing Would imagine the Service tab shows your buildings and their upkeep. Find it odd you pay nothing for it.

you should name the city broxton
Instead of the generic college you've already placed, wouldn't it be better to have the technical and medical campuses? They do raise education like the college ,right?
