@@LordSevla Hello! I took part in bug-finding too, and I can safely say that, going blind of course, around 18-24ish hour, probably a bit more. Thaat is, of course, if you go for the extra content/just explorethe world and find as many things as you can. Hope it helped! :)

This genuinely brought tears to my eyes. I have had no past encounters with Lindroth's work but just watching the sheer aesthetic discipline in all of that melting playdoh gave me feels.

I hesitate to call things art due to the negativity these days that surrounds the term in relation to video games, but this is art.

Somehow, this looks like this turned into some kind of surrealist SMT spinoff. And that is never a bad thing.
It kinda looks more like earthbound
@@moe_bara_bltch I mean yeah, but it's not inherently bad to enjoy Earthbound. Plus there's a lot of obvious similarities between this and the Mother series.

Weird games often are complete unfun madness. Hylics is different.

There ARE good ones though, for every incomprehensible mess that forgets weird for the sake of weird isn't inherently fun, you have some weird and wonderful games like Katimari, Cookie and Cream, Jumping Flash, and Hylics.
Hylics stands out amongst other weird or surreal games for not treating its gameplay like an afterthought.

i feel like this is my one true comfort game. it has such a calming yet incredibly intriguing sense to it and feels like it has many deep meanings hidden inside that can be interpreted in your own way. not even to mention the music. i first found out about this on spotify and was so in love with the weird and calming yet oddly chaotic in a way song fittingly called "afterlife". after looking through the other songs and then looking at how they fit into the game, i can conclude that the music is so weird and cool and interesting yet entirely fits with the game in every way. im really surprised that this game isn't more popular, as this deserves all the love. i can't even begin to think how long this took to make with the stop motion animation and such. i wrote this 1:25 into the video and this is only my first time looking at the game. either i'm emotional or this game is one of the most underrated games of all time /srs

I saw the first Hylics back at last year's SGDQ and was immediately fascinated with it, if incredibly weirded out. Seeing this trailer just kind of made me want to play it even more. Everything is so fluid and unique-looking.
I hope an ost will be released for this game! I loved the songs in all of the trailers so far as well as the first game’s soundtrack

Mason, you're a fantastic weirdo and I absolutely love this style. You put in just the most amazing amount of work to do so much in clay, and the end result is worth it. The first game was great. This one looks even better. Can't wait to see it!
I kept seeing this in my recommended videos for a while and I had no idea what it was. "What is Hylics?" I asked myself. "What does it mean? Who is this fellow with a manta ray for a head and why is someone tugging on his fins?" I finally caved in and watched it, and I gotta say, Hylics and Hylics 2 are the most pleasantly strange games I've ever played. I still don't know why this video was recommended to me but I'm glad it was. The soothing tones of Mr. Salamone's guitar and Mason's outlandish creations intrigued me, and so immediately I went off to enjoy these recreational programs. I even purchased a t-shirt!
The best part is, although Wayne is now photo realistic, he still has the same walking style.
Please release a Japanese version of this game! Please.

I keep coming back to the trailer just for the music alone.
It's like they downloaded that part of my brain that I have so little access during the day, that I can catch glimpses when I too happy or too sad, but oozes in the moments before falling asleep and before waking up and made a game.
this trailer is so... chilling. not the tiniest bit fast-paced, cramped into a minute, but just slowly showing much. really like it.

My god, this is a game I've been waiting for a long time, can't wait!
It’s weird. Usually I can pinpoint an era in which a game came out, whether it be from a stylistic standpoint or from a general standpoint. I can’t do it wit this game. This game manages to capture the bizarre nature of a lot of games, RPGS especially, of the 80s and 90s, but at the same time it’s very obviously not from that era. This feels like a game created in a different universe, which is something I’ve never said about any other game.

This is just beautiful man, I discovered Hylics not long ago, this trailer and the whole game world makes feel something undescriptable, its and imagery and musical world that I might have lived in my dreams or in long lost childhood memories, I'm so grateful that someone is able to pull this together and share it with the world, this 3 minutes felt like 20 seconds to me and I dont know why. Thank you Mason and everyone involved in this, it is trurly inspiring as an aspiring audiovisual artist, this is a world that I will happily discover and experience as a fountain of creativity and enouragement, enjoying your creations inspires my own work.
