I rode a mule to Plateau Point in 1976 and to Phantom Ranch in 2018 along the Bright Angel Trail. This TV ride was fun to watch, but nothing like the real thing... no hats, no long sleeves for this ride, which were, and are, mandatory. And we mounted up at the round, Stone Corral even back in '76.
There is no way that a commercial operator would allow that many people in a group with only one guide. TWO guides (one in the lead and one in the rear) would be a minimum. Also, I cannot believe that they did not tell Alice about the mule ride until they all got to the rim.
Is it just me, or does Greg look a little funny on his mule at 1:45? He’s the only one leaning forward, almost sticking out his pelvis. It just looks weird.
I adored Ann B. Davis...what a scene-stealer she was..!! love the old stuff.
I like how the Brady family militantly counted Alice as a family member

Alice mounting the mule reminds me of Willie trying to mount her elephant in The Temple Of Doom
my favorite episode!

I love the Grand Canyon trilogy episodes
I remember riding a horse around the canyon. My sides hurted after that
Can’t even take an uber to the bottom 😂
When did Grand Canyon stop doing the mule rides to the bottom of the canyon? Or do they still do it?

The bottom of the Canyon does not look like any of the camping spots at GC that I have seen. Well the magic of tv
I agree. Perhaps it was supposed to be around Indian Gardens.
The camping scenes were filmed back in California.
Also … WHERE is the RIVER ??
Mr. Brady should have already been used to his backside hurting.
rectal entrance
being a city boy he thought part of the morning chores was milking his mule. Nobody would eat their breakfast cereal except for him...and Jan
Alice is the captain of all cowards
Zodiac Productions I don’t blame her, what if the mule went nuts suddenly?
