THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL REGARDING WHAT I DESCRIBED AS I WAS LEAVING: Building YOUR frame should follow the same process, which will be covered in a moment. EXPECATION - What’s probably going to happen is… This is the first in line because it’s the easiest to exploit or subvert. Since you now know what a Life Script is, you can make assumptions about what a person is likely to expect in each scenario. If they are an employee at Starbucks, for example, you know that they are expecting you to approach the counter and place an order. This expectation could be subverted very easily by doing something that breaks this corner of their frame. When something occurs that we don’t expect (like the stick breaking behind the bush) it generates automatic and immediate focus. This injection of novelty causes our brain to behave as though it’s saying, ‘Whoa. This is different than the other times, I need to pay attention. My autopilot script I have for this doesn’t apply here.’ BELIEFS - What’s probably true about this situation is… Someone’s beliefs are next in line because they are the second easiest to subvert. The beliefs of someone’s mental frame simply refers to what they believe to be true about a situation. The expectation is what a person is predicting will happen based on their mental script. The Belief is what someone believes about the environment they are in. These are the beliefs they have about themselves, you, and the social construct of the environment. This is also a measure of how they view their own social capacity within the interaction. Someone’s beliefs are also the assumptions they are making about you and how they are permitted to interact with you. If you’re at a convention or a networking event, and you’re wearing a suit, someone’s belief might be that they can approach you on an equal social status, and that the conversation will be more or less on equal footing. People are always making assumptions about your status and authority, and unconsciously comparing it to their own. Subverting the Beliefs corner of the frame is easy to do. It happens naturally when authority is present, but here’s the process to subvert the second corner of the frame: 1. Subvert expectations by causing something to happen that lets their brain know this isn’t what they expected 2. Determine or estimate what they are likely to believe about the situation from a hierarchical perspective 3. Ensure your behavior is above their expectations without resorting to overpowering them When we speak about frames, it is inevitable that most people will begin to think in terms of social status and hierarchy. The more conscious you are of social standing and hierarchy, the less you will have it in social interactions. The single greatest failure of every operator I have ever trained is worrying about or obsessing over locating themselves vs others on the social status hierarchy. When you truly have confidence, you will no longer worry or even think about where you stand. PERCEPTION - What’s true about this is… Nothing about someone’s perceptions is the truth, per se, but this is what they believe to be true through their own lens. The perception corner of the frame is what someone believes to be true about themselves, and the environment. If someone believes they are genuinely smarter than most of the world, this will be seen as true for them in the Perception corner of their frame. People tend to default to these ‘facts’ to feel better about who they are and what they can do. If you’re approaching a security guard at a large office building, his or her Perception corner contains ‘facts’ about them being in charge, and them having the authority to control the conversation. At a networking event, someone may continuously remind themselves of the ‘fact’ that they are a Senior Vice President at a company and thus have social status and authority because of this ‘fact’. Here's how a person’s frame will (unconsciously) collapse into your frame thus far: 1. You’ve created a situation where they are no longer able to make predictions about you. 2. You’ve behaved in a way they didn’t expect, and have now stopped them from making assumptions about your behavior. 3. Now, in the Perception corner of the frame, they no longer resort to a solid foundation of ‘truth’ about the situation, so they are more open and willing to assume your frame Now let’s look at what’s totally true… DEFINITION - What’s absolutely true is… When someone defines what’s true here, they are referring to their position, title, rules they must follow, and actual authority given to them in a current situation. Other people in the room would most likely agree with everything a person has in the Definition corner. In a networking event, the director of the event uses this truth to feel more confident. It makes them more comfortable to speak to others, and more comfortable having conversations with everyone in the room. These Definitions give us psychological permission to behave in ways we may normally not behave. It’s the hardest part of a frame to change, but it is exponentially easier to change and subvert once the other three corners are subverted. We’re not modifying the facts, we’re making the facts less needed and relevant to this person. - Most everyone would agree with the definition someone has. - Friends would agree with the Perception someone has. - A supportive mother would agree with the Beliefs someone has. - Only this person would agree with the Expectations they have.
@The Behavior Arts : There is something that no one notice...the right arrow earring, I googled the meaning and it is : "The most common association with the arrow is its use as a tool for hunting and protection. And while it was naturally considered a tool of war due to its status as a weapon", also its saying I AM RIGHT, its like giving the middle finger to everyone watching, like the bee earring in the trial...She is obnoxious! And I agree each answer is like a director saying, cut-reset-and action!
I love that when she called the later witnesses "randos" Morgan Night (Hicksville Manager) and Morgan Tremaine (TMZ guy) immediately changed their Twitter names to rando#1 and rando#2 🤣🤣🤣
LMAO!!!!! 😂😂😂 LOVE IT!! you would think that after all of the humiliation Heard went thru, that she wouldn't want to go thru the hell of ANOTHER trial. Smh...
As someone who is autistic, this channel is super helpful, lately I have been able to notice things in myself and others I have never been able to pick up on. Your way of explaining everything in the detail that you do is really informative and makes complex emotion and body language much more easily visible to me
Same. I also have autism and didn't even know I couldn't read faces until I found a blog about body language and started studying it intensely. I even started my own body language dictionary in Word complete with images just so I'd have a handy reference for myself. Then I went back through old family photos and was amazed to suddenly see what I'd totally missed my entire life! Wow I'd been reading the room wrong! It feels really good to finally be able to read people, even if it means I have a monologue in my head listing off everything I see when I meet new people. Once I get to know someone and trust them emotionally, as Spidey said, then I don't need to read them like that anymore.
@@neuropsychologist agreed! It's so nice to hear that there's some positive value to social media... in ways that some of may have not considered. Good stuff!
That’s freaking awesome 🥰❤️ I’m really glad. I’ve never thought about this but I definitely agree on it helping me to also pick up on things I would have never noticed without watching these.
When Amber talks about victims in the “you or I” section, it really feels like she’s establishing herself as an expert on victims (similar to the makeup on the stand). It’s almost like she’s researched a role and she’s explaining what she’s learned, but what she manages to do is show that she doesn’t see herself as a victim of domestic abuse, but she does see herself as an EXPERT on victims of domestic abuse.
She also said something like 'lending her voice to the larger conversation' (around DV & SA). That also seemed to me like a phrase that she used to place herself outside of the conversation. Like 'lending your voice' to the cause of clean drinking water everywhere implies that you have the privilege of clean drinking water. This was a cause that she hooked onto for personal attention or possibly even because she finds it a worthy cause, thereby justifying in her mind that she would invent some personal connection to the cause.
She does the same with “the Greeks” to explain what the 1st amendment means. It’s mansplaining but to show “I’m actually smart”. Trump did the same thing when he would say, “not many people know this” because it was something he just learned. Classic narcissist behaviour.
Bottom line; no abuse victim will taunt their abuser. They do whatever they can to mollify them, to prevent further abuse. When Amber taunted Johnny saying "Yeah, Johnny, so ahead and tell the world you're abused..." I knew then that SHE was the abuser.
Although I 💯 agree with your conclusion in this case, still have to remind that reactive abuse exists, and it can be nasty. But again, I don't believe it's what happened there.
When I was being abused my defense was continually saying "I have nothing to say" to try and diffuse the situation and stop the abuse. I guess that even made him madder because I wouldn't partake in the abuse.
That's not true. You really think no one ever tries to fight back or defend themselves? You don't "know" anything if that's your basis. Victims react in all sorts of different ways.
When people bring up the U.K. trial vs The Sun, they ought to also bring up that the judge has/had a family member who worked for Murdoch, the owner of The Sun. The judge was also ‘asked to retire’ due to inappropriate behaviour as a judge. There was also an issue around certain evidence from Depp’s team not being allowed that could have resulted into a different outcome. Then they were also denied an appeal…
The judges wife was at a dinner with Heard during the trial. Amber's attorney was good friends with the judges wife. There are so many other issues along with the couple mentioned here.
I am an ACTUAL VICTIM of DV! My nose was broken, I had two black eyes, and several bruises all over my body. I did go to my dr after this happened to me. I have Xrays that show my nose was broken! Amber stating that "The swelling on my broken nose went away with applying ice, and makeup specifically a Bruise Kit will cover bruises.." Nope! Amber ...my broken nose didn't heal for a good 2 months! I had black eyes for a good month... then the color turned to yellow under my eyes for another two weeks. She makes me sick! I'll post a picture of what a REAL BROKEN NOSE LOOKS LIKE!
I couldn’t have said it better! IK the feeling the hurt! And HOW LONG IT TOOK TO BE A SURVIVOR, she makes it sound like o I just added ice and arnica… Arnika! It is a long road… don’t act like o it was easy … lol
I m so sorry you has to experience this and for survivors such as yourself this was hell. I have worked in the medical field for 30 years and I can bet my medical license on the fact she isn't a victim and has never been one. She is a perpetrator. I believe when she learned JD wanted out she was going to do this, I also believe that from Day one this was her plan. People like Amber go after good hearted people. It's almost like a hunt looking for the right prey. The good news is, since this trial we have had more men come forward and seek help and protection.
@@bobbicat5357 and another good thing (as I see it) is that so many other women DV and SA survivors are coming out in support of Depp, who was the actual survivor, not Heard. it's nice to see that a large part of society sees that anyone can be anything regardless of their gender, past, age, appearance, sexuality. Men can be abused too just as much as women out there. Women can be abusers too just as much as men out there. Heard trying to use her gender and take away his humanity by saying he's just an actor is disgusting when she wants herself to be seen as a human being. 🙄 so she shouldn't be believed too because she played the role of mera which is as realistic as having scissors for hands, right?
“I’m not a perfect victim.” -Amber Heard Amber clearly doesn’t know what the hell it feels like to be abused. When I was abused my mind vanished. Survival mechanisms took over. I didn’t choose anything, let alone how to perfect being a victim.
Please show me one true DV victim that has her/his own money but (even after supposedly being SA) chooses to stay. It took me 6 months to save enough money so that myself & my child could safely leave. She’s the absolute worst with what she did to JD. Anyone who still supports her needs their head examined.
Rob's explanation of why buying a house theory doesn't work as a comparison to pledge/donate is very clear and I'm glad Amber chose to use it in the interview. Honestly, I feel the more Amber talks, the bigger the hole that she digs for herself.
I’m revisiting this case to relive the heartwarming way it brought people together. I must have missed this one during the original events. I’m glad I got a chance to see it after the fact because it’s a gem.
This was hands-down, the BEST video I’ve seen on AH’s behavior and statement analysis, throughout this entire trial and aftermath. The four of you made a FABULOUS team! Your expertise really complimented each other. Truly the best combination of knowledge and skills I’ve seen so far.
This whole pledge and donate thing is so simple. Even my eight year old figured it out. My daughter accidentally broke a head bang I got her from target for $4.99. On Sunday I called her and said “here’s a dollar, I’m donating it towards your new head band” she asked what I meant and I said “I’m giving it to you to get a new head band.” She said thank you and ran off. On Monday I called her and said “baby, I pledge to give you another dollar towards your new head band” again she asked what I meant I said “I promise to give you another dollar for your head band” she said thank you and ran off. Tuesday. I called her again and I asked what’s the difference between the dollar I gave you and the dollar I promised you. She said “I have the dollar you gave me but not the one you promised, are you giving it to me now or later.” Lol 🙈 I gave it to her. So Chase who is so cute by the way. When he mentioned how dumb Amber must think the jury or the common people are, it just shows that she believes she’s the smartest person in the world. And everyone else just has an iq of .0000000001 I can’t with her. She needs to be ignored.
As a survivor of DV and SA, thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you. Amber is not my champion, she is part of the reason that future victims won't be believed. Thank you for being an advocate for people like me around the word
Every time I hear Amber say “I never had to instigate physical violence,”all I can think is, no Amber, you CHOSE to instigate violence. It drives me crazy Edit - So interesting on the need for pity & significance! Dr Curry indicated that histrionic individuals vacillate between a princess & a victim ie pity. And borderline individuals are terrified of abandonment ie being so insignificant as to be left & discarded. I find that very interesting Thank you Christina! She wants to be seen as a human and then repeatedly dehumanizes Johnny! I was so hoping someone would point that out 🙌🏻
I have a kind of radar that picks phrases where she doesn't really answer the actual question like you I feel her words are all to protect herself without stating, yes or no, like a magician, direct the eyes (in this case ears) elsewhere while I (she).tap-dance to confound. She really does believe her own lies. 😱💯🐨🦘
I’m thinking her claim to be, essentially, THE “Face of Domestic Violence” is truly indicative of exactly that! And why everyone I know finds that to be abhorrent.
It sounds like the classic 'I don't remember that happening that way' or ' I don't believe I did that' (my exes favorite non denials). I believe those statements are so that they're not technically lying and can retract later under the guise of misunderstanding or forgetting or 'didn't say I didn't do it' ... I agree, completely disgusting. (Hard to humanize someone that acts so little like a human 😶)
She REFUSES to admit to anything she's done wrong and that is a red flag to me because that's typical of people who are controlling, and manipulative, but she does a lot of things that are red flags, way too many to list!
Whaaaat?! She’s “terrified” he’ll sue her again? Yet, she’s doing interviews. Does this woman even realize how pathological she is? “I just want him to leave me alone” 😩 Now, let’s begin my media campaign to hammer him over the head until he’s forced to pay attention to me. 🤦🏻♀️ Amber, go home. You’re drunk.
She could be completely sober and she'd still be doing this interview. She has already justified her actions in her own head and she believes in that justification. She is the victim in her own mind, he's the monster because she can't control him anymore! Classic smear campaign especially if you discard (walk away) from the relationship!
She has BPD she isn’t predatory. She has all affective empathy and zero cognitive empathy. She’s a vulnerable narcissist, needy, emotional, fears abandonment, anxiety, self harming, suicidal. Depp is pathological manipulator, liar, dismissive, needs for power, control, authority, lacks remorse, lacks empathy and emotions, is glib, has rage and sadism disorder ASPD traits, Depp has NPD and some ASPD traits he is predatory. Chase is a sociopath as well he has ASPD+ NPD factor 2 features sociopathy
Thank you to Rob Lawandlumber for showing us how honestly enraged you are @ AH for hiding behind a DA survivor mask. You are truly emotionally involved with how offensive it is that AH is trying to steal other peoples’ horrific experiences. Watching her repeatedly lie about living that life was very much a trigger for me and seemed to be for you too. Your clients are lucky to have a man like yourself defending them.
OMG!!! This is the best panel EVER! Wish Emily was there too, but it’s family time for her. What s treat!!!! Thank you so much and hello from Australia.
AH - gets sued for defamation then tries to tell the world she's been unfairly silenced Also AH - countersued JD for defamation, won one of her counts, misses the irony of her statement about the purpose of defamation
Spidey, I just wanted to say I discovered your channel not too long ago because of the Depp v. Heard trial, and I have absolutely fallen in love with your analyses. The lengthy descriptions and explanations you give are fascinating, and I love when you throw in those sociological and psychological tidbits to give whatever you're speaking on even more credence. I think you're brilliant. You're my new favorite UA-camr. For what it's worth, I also appreciate your acknowledgment/belief of the existence of empaths and how we are able to pick up on things others may not ever notice. You are one cool dude, and I'll be watching all of your videos. Please keep them coming! 🖤
The statement that Rob made to media about using the term “perfect victim” seriously brought tears to my eyes at the level of emotion I feel from him. Thank you Rob for being such an incredible advocate for victims. ❤️
i didnt think too much about that comment at first, but hearing ppl discuss it really started to get my blood boiling. The fact that she still thinks she's a victim just disgusts me, I will never be able to see her in a positive light... Its nice when REAL victims see through her BS, I will never see her as a victim, she is ugly on the inside which makes her unattractive..and to think, i used to think she was beautiful in Aquaman but not anymore.
When she says “I want to say yes to you, but that wouldn’t be true” is her trying to show that she is always honest, and that even when she wants to give a dishonest answer, it goes against her values and normal behaviour of honesty. Like, “look how honest I am…see? I’m always honest.”
Good point! I hated how she answered that question!! It was basically a historical question, at that moment in time, did you feel confident? She should know how she felt?! Eg. I felt confident bc I felt I showed good evidence. Etc. She shouldn't be acting like it's a moral dilemma to answer
Ok but I love the moment of Chase saying "it's like saying, 'I donated allegiance to the flag'" 🤣 it took me a second because it made no sense but I then burst out laughing because it's not supposed to. Brilliant emphasis on how the two words are NOT synonymous! 👏🏻 It's like saying, "I pledged to spend time volunteering tomorrow" being equivalent to "I donated to spend time volunteering tomorrow" 🤣 it's like 🧐 are you OK, you're not making sense.
Thank you to you all for this fantastic live and a massive thank you to Rob for what he said about the perfect victim statement Amber said. My heart swelled up when he got very passionate about taking it to court. As a survivor of DV and SA I want to say a massive thank you 😊
Narcissists align themselves to people of “high status” and believe they can only be understood by individuals or institutions of notable regard. It certainly seems Amber believes she can only be understood by a Judge. The pursuit of Johnny Depp, James Franco and Elon Musk help elevate her social and economic status and validate the belief she has about how special she is.
Spot on! She also aligns herself to the interviewer by saying “people like us” when talking about having access to resources and then when she referred to “randos” she obviously meant people she wouldn’t align herself with like us
Great insight! I am interested- now that she is broke or even in debth and she will lose connections, Holywood friends and luxury life, what do you believe she will think? Will this be hard awakening where she understands she is now also just a " average rando"?
When AH was on the witness stand during cross-examination, she defiantly said, "I have never NEVER called myself a victim. And I never will." In this interview, she says, "I'm not a good victim... a likable victim... a perfect victim..." So now she is using "victim" as if it's a role to act out, and she feels she was not giving a convincing performance portraying that character because no one believed her.
Yes. At the time of the abuse she didn’t think she was a victim. Everyone is calling her a liar, so she’s using the word victim because in this case she is the victim. She isn’t lying
As a DV and SA survivor, I cannot thank you all enough for calling her out. What A.H. and her lawyers have done is disgusting. I was so triggered when I tried to watch her and her sisters testimony, I needed to turn it off. However, I was able to find your channels and watch a lot of it that way because all of you stopped, analysized and called her out. I really needed to hear someone call Bullshit and because of what you do, I hope AH or her lawyers heard it to. ⚓🌼Thank you
@@maryrosenblatt6741 Funny, this was my reaction every time I saw Johnny's smug face during the trial. Reminded me of my abuser. The way he committed herself to paint her as crazy too.
I’m very sorry to all of the real survivors and heroes who are surviving! What Amber Heard did is atrocious to the people who have really endured trauma. You all are heroes to me! ♥️
This is easily my favorite panel of all time. Each one of them is so likeable, knowledgeable and charming in their own unique ways. They have so much chemistry between them, I hang on every single word that is said. It's so interesting, educating and entertaining at the same time, it blows my mind. Megapanel indeed. I am almost glad that Emily D. Baker wasn't on aswell. I feel like I would have had a heart attack from over-excitement lol.
Her performance at the court not only showed what a terrible liar she is, also showed what a lousy actress she is. that wracked her both in private life and professional life.
I've worked in customer service call centers for a long time and the response "that's a great question" is a way to fill time so we can find an answer or ask for time to find the answer. Can't begin to explain how annoyed I was hearing her say that.
AH’s “i never had to instigate violence” was such a weird choice of words cause like, no one should EVER instigate violence. like i’m not a survivor of DV, but i don’t think an actual victim would ever say that. and listening to her say “i responded to violence” really made me wonder what HER definition of violence was.
I was a victim of physical and emotional abuse whilst in a relationship with a narcissistic man with addiction problems. And as a victim I can empathise and relate to women and men with similar experiences, but I cannot for whatever reason relate or empathise with Amber. I can only talk from my experience, but you don't confidently speak out like this. I never told anybody, because I was actually afraid. And in the end your mind is completely fried, you believe everything that happened was your fault. The narcissists way is the only way, the abuse is relentless and unfortunately never stops, because they don't change. From watching this case play out I can see clearly Amber is the abuser, and Johnny the abused.
Still to this day a year on it's still sticks witu you and in your mind never stops and I dont talk about it it's all within me she is far from a victim like she said shes is not a Victim aggressively her words then she is a victim lol she dont speak on behalf of survivors thats what I prefer to address it as victim which one is it the fake over dramatic antics is not a person who has suffered shes devious and the abuser
@@MsGroovy51 one could argue they both are, being actors. But I agree with you the extent of her testimony seems more over exaggerated and "cartoon" like
I nearly didn't watch this as I am so tired with Amber Heard BUT I am SO VERY VERY VERY glad I did. Such a fantastic group to listen to, learn from and spend such productive time. What an amazing combination of people, expertise and respect. Thank you
She's saying a lot of obvious things and acting cute, talking about herself... To me, she brought a soccer mom energy to the table, not much else. I'm not surprised Rob and Chase barely engaged with her. I'm also not surprised that someone who believes "a female brings a perspective guys can't have" in a matter such as this, would find her interesting.
The ''vindictive" thing was, a trigger for Amber , in my opinion. The reason she latched onto that word out of an entire list is because she had been called that before, by someone she either cares about or cares what their perception of her is and it hurt her. That's why she immediately tried to nullify that claim. For example, if you grew up, with your mother constantly calling you ''stupid''', That word will hold deeper meaning, emotion than it would with a person who has not been called stupid. They won't be triggered or even affected by it.
She Doesn’t Care About Anybody.. Their Pieces On A Chess Board.. She Latched On To That Because She Wants To Protect Her Mask.. So Yeah Perception.. People Really Shouldn’t Make The Mistake Of Treating Or Thinking Of Narcs As Human.. You’ll Only Get Hurt.. They Have No 0 That’s Zero Empathy.. Therefore In My Opinion Aren’t Human.. I Think They Might Be Some Sort Of Sub Species..
Wow, Christina! I didn’t think there was anything I didn’t already know about this case. But, you’re right about her apparent enthusiasm for attending the UK trial; and, the fact that she was able to listen to and then use the testimonies from that trial to tighten up her own story is just further confirmation of her calculating maliciousness, in my mind.
Omg!! She planned it from day 1 !!! So I am not exaggerating in my understanding that when she said I want ppl to see me as a human being she is planting in ppl’s minds that she is weak and being attacked and ppl are de-humanising her instead of admitting to doing wrong to JD and apologising!!!! She is accusing ppl of cruelty and de-humanising her and that she is a victim of cruelty!!!! In my opinion 😜
No wonder I've been confused about the UK trial. She says in this interview that in that case, "..we prevailed". SHE wasn't even a party in that case. It was JD against The Sun. And no wonder the VA jury wasn't allowed to hear about that case.
Yeah that's right. How dare she prepare for another trial. These sorts of comments prove delusional hate. Check yourself before hating on Amber like it's a religion.
@@Len_J_ well no. A defendant doesn't sit in while everyone testifies during disclosure. Everyone is expected to tell the truth when under oath...about everything .. so they don't need to prepare. They shouldn't be changing their stories based on the evidence against them, because they shouldn't be saying anything but the truth. Lawyers prepare for court e.g. funding evidence, researching case law, writing opening arguments. She didn't have to watch the UK trial and she shouldn't have been there. The fact that she was indicates she is cheating.
When Amber said “the man who convinced the world he had scissors for fingers”, that was it for me. That and the look on her face as she said it. Why the hell would she say that??? Does she really think there are people out there who think Edward Scissorhands is real??!? Wasn’t there ANYTHING else she could have come up with to say?!? She is a clown. And she and her lawyers keeps referring to that trial in London like she won it. She wasnt even a party in it. She didn’t win anything!
It's worse than that, as she isn't talking about johnny... she is talking about the lawyers like they are acting and they are as good as he is!? WHAT!?
It got the focus off her, maybe that was her aim. Because the question was embarrassing to her (performance of a lifetime?) meaning you're a liar and the piddly roles you've gotten up to now haven't even been as big as this trial?
Kudos to Spidey and Rob for providing unbiased analysis of Depp and Heard's behaviours, mannerisms, expressions and phrases during the trial. I expect this was difficult due to the high profile nature, and also that one person was creating many more situations that required analysis than the other. I can only imagine how challenging it was to point out someone's negative actions and behaviours without it looking like you're siding with the opposition, but you tried really hard to stay objective and I appreciate you both for doing that. Your approach made this series easier to watch objectively as, sadly, so many of these types of analysis reviews throw out words like narcissist, or are biased one way or another, and I'm pleased you didn't go there on both counts. I also enjoyed watching and listening to Christina and Chase's evaluations in relation to Amber's interview, as well as both Spidey and Rob's. This was a wonderful series that I enjoyed watching, and learning from too, and it was fun seeing the interplay and camaraderie between you all.
You wouldn’t believe the backlash and bullying I’ve had coming my way the past weeks on social media because I openly said I didn’t believe Amber. I’ve been accused of everything from being a blind JD fan (which I’m definitely not) to being a gender traitor because I said an alleged victim of domestic abuse was lying. The fact is that my opinion was entirely based on Amber’s (very lame) performance on the stand. It had absolutely nothing to do with the parties narratives. I actually didn’t even watch a single excerpt of Johnny’s testimony before I watched your analysis a few days ago. I didn’t even turn on the sound while watching some of Amber’s videos that showed on my feed and it was blatantly obvious to me that that was NOT a truthful person on the stand. Watching you videos has been quite comforting and gave me back confidence in my ability to read people. So thank you for that 💗
@melanie pare Im misogynistic according to some GF's of mine, and am setting back women's power!!!!! No I just went with my gut, visually what I was seeing and what I was hearing. It didn't lie right with me.
Melanie, I totally hear you. I'm in the same boat. It frustrates me so much that by agreeing with a verdict, having watched nearly all of the trial, that I'm a traitor to feminism.
Block all those people, it's cathartic, and they're mostly all like Amber, where they react positively to any attention, even if it's negative. Block, block some more, and sometimes report
I'm a therapist. Therapists are not mandated reporters in any state for able bodied, non-disabled adults under the age of 65. There are states where therapists are mandated reporters for abuse/neglect of children, elders, and/or disabled adults. Therapists actually cannot violate confidentiality to report domestic violence if the victim is an adult under the age of 65 who is not disabled, and we could be sued or face discipline if we report. In California, only medical professionals who provide treatment for physical illnesses or injuries are mandated reporters for domestic violence. Therapists are not licensed or trained to evaluate physical health so they cannot evaluate or report DV injuries.
Here in Ohio lots of professions are mandated reporters, but maybe that’s why the cases don’t get pushed out very far. Because there’s so many being reported.
Rob THANK YOU for saying that about a "perfect victim" every time I hear those words they hurt me to the core! There is NO such thing as a perfect victim! Also, Spidey you are right, we are not perfect victims, we just ARE!!!! We were forced into a survivorship community that we did not ask to belong to!!!! This perfect victim comment makes me so sick! 😡 However you know what I CAN say we are? We are PROUD to be SURVIVORS!!! 💪 Also Christina, this is an INCREDIBLY dangerous narrative that mainstream media is putting out there!!!! Thank you for all you do and say, you all mean the world to me, you soothe a lot of the hurt that weighs heavy while sorting out the emotions she brings out in all of us. 💙💜
Agreed! She is like my Narc ex, takes on victim role when left, she can’t have anyone even thinking the problem was her, so she reversed the role & ran with it, thinking Johnny would not fight with her. She kept going after UK, bc of the fuel she received from the attention. It is triggering & infuriates me!
Promise had I actually gotten the nerve to see a medical professional or keep a photograph of injuries it wouldn’t be hard to provide SOME sort of proof. Amazing how many ATTEMPTS AH had when trying to provide hard evidence (especially how her job requires a lot of pics/film). It annoyed me all the claims of attempts to document that AH had. If a survivor finally got the nerve they would make it count!
I just love Rob's passion for the law. His explanation on the Sun case is the UK and how it doesn't apply was explained simply and plainly. There is a true talent in explaining complex concepts simply. Thank you Rob.
SO GREAT to have Christina join the team!!!! As a professional actress myself, it's extremely satisfying to hear a professional actress detail the specifics of the acting technique fails...and exactly WHY AH's 'acting' is so very, very BAD (deficient). Kudos, Christina. Nailed it.
so true, having a Behavioral, lawyer, and actress all together is the recipe for greatness.. everyone can bring insight in regards to their personal profession
Not really surprised at the low numbers of viewers for the interview, as I had absolutely no interest either in watching it. Only interest was in your analysis of it! Thank you all so much for sharing your knowledge and skills and freely imparting some of it to your audience! I actually had a A-ha moment on a behavior trait of someone I know when you all were discussing it! You all make learning human behavior interesting and fun! This MEGA-PANEL was great!
Thank you guys for the "perfect victim" part. That we just are, trying to get through each day. It was so hard to admit it was happening, and I am grateful to all the people who helped me!
"Attorneys put notes in binders." YES! As a former Legal Assistant who had to organize scads of discovery, this is exactly how it's organized. The doctor sends photocopies and it's then put in a binder for easy reference. Her attorneys probably had entire rooms full of binders of stuff. That doesn't mean it was all good evidence or usable evidence, tho. However, in this case, the notes did come in as evidence through expert testimony, so her argument is moot imo.
She also said "the notes were TAKEN by her doctor." She didn't say they were WRITTEN by her doctor. It looks as though those notes are in her handwriting. My interpretation is that she wrote them and handed them to her therapist. The therapist physically took them from her.
Exactly! As a former legal assistant I had gobs of hospital/medical records that were placed in binders to help build the abuse timeline and the different hospitals that were visited.
RE: Amber not wanting to just say "no" when asked if she felt confident waiting for the verdict - The singular thing Amber hates more than anything else in the world is weakness, she snaps when anyone insinuates it of her, and I think that may stem from her spending so much time with her dad while growing up. He was a man's man, hunting, dog fighting, etc., and Amber was in the role of the son he never had, so I think he had a great influence on her. She despises weakness, we heard it in the audio clips where she berates Johnny for being a baby for not wanting to fight, she had disgust in her voice. We also saw it on the stand when Camille called her a victim - that was one of the rare times we saw her answer instantaneously. "I NEVER referred to myself as a victim!" She was pissed about it and answered before she could assess how it might go over. Now, again we see it with this interview - when Savannah asks her if she felt confident about the verdict - if she says no right out then it makes her look weak, something she despises most in life. I could do a dissertation on this chick. She is a case study in so many personality disorders it's unreal. I haven't seen or known too many people as sick in the head as she is. I hope for her daughter's sake she gets help, yet I'm pretty sure she won't, because asking for help requires looking weak or inadequate, and Amber can't abide with that. This was an excellent panel with a nice diversity of viewpoints, the best analysis I've seen on this subject on UA-cam or anywhere. Great job. I think I need Chase's book in my life. I subscribed to all of your guests.
She was seeing a therapist when she was in the relationship with Johnny. I wonder if she only sought "help" to document the lies for future use. Also, you said that you hoped she would seek help...She is a Narcissist. NPD. She will NEVER grow. She blame-shifts as ALL Narcissists do. It is never her fault. She is a toddler in growth & no amount of therapy will help her. There is no therapies for Narcs. They only seek "help" because they are experiencing trouble in the relationship & want the therapist to FIX the other person. They are perpetual victims. Her daughter will be a Narcissist or a Empath.. She may never see her mother clearly. Or she will continue the victim-mentality. As the daughter of a Narcissist, I was attracted to self-centered people or Narcissists all my life until my last Narcissist. A grandiose Narcissist opened my eyes. They are dangerous. They are the Devil. You cannot change or modify the Devil.
@@seriouslyjoking2 Sadly, I was also raised by narcissists, both entertainers - I think it goes with that territory. That's why I recognize things in AH, because I grew up with them. You're right, they don't get well. My parents are in their 70s, and although they aren't quite the raging narcs that they used to be, my mother in particular is still stuck in the same behavioral patterns that she always was. I was sure by the time she reached old age she would give up the fight to be the most beautiful female in the room, or demand the most attention in the group, but it's only gotten worse as she ages. I've heard stories of rare cases where narcs have actually been helped, but from what I've read and heard, it's very rare. How can the cycle of dysfunction in a family ever be broken?
I have watched the whole trial and many different discussions, but this is the first time I cried. That simple humble act of the deepest respect, "...victims, survivors, I'm sorry..." got me. Thank you.
I'm just in love with Rob! In a professional way. I watched the video when he de-buncked the "bed" breaking. It was ridiculous to think that anyone with that had two brain cells to rub together thought the bed could break from a boot that way.
This was a fabulous panel. Loved that each person had a different background. It made the analysis extremely thorough and effective. Christina was a great addition with the acting perspective. I haven’t seen that before. She also added facts about the trial in Great Britain that I wasn’t aware of. Will definitely look for her.
I’m not a lawyer, but I had a different take on why she kept repeating “as I testified to”. I had read when I looked up the burden of proof needed for defamation that anything testified to under oath can’t later be used against someone as far as defamation because the courts want people to feel free to express themselves. So I thought she was repeating that phrase to cover her butt from future lawsuits. And as long as she didn’t make any new allegations during the interview that she was protected under the law. Thoughts?
Rob the statement you made to the media about the quote (perfect or imperfect victim) was nothing short of being a hero! I only wish I was watching it live to be able to tell you in real time
A new contradiction. She can't help herself. It's like she lied so much she doesn't even remember what she did or didn't say. She also admitted on stand that the OpEd was about Johnny, yet here she is denying it.
That breakdown Chase gave of “expectation, perception, belief, fact” was so effin cool. I am just a layperson, but I have been listening to a lot of podcasts over the last couple years of people who do extensive research on.. essentially “bad” people (or at least people who behave in atrocious ways). And something about that breakdown of the frame just really resonates with how some of these bad people behave. Awesome stuff, thank you so much for facilitating this panel Spidey, and thank you to all of your guests!
As a professional that serves people I’ve noticed that my client will come in with the wrong expectations. It’s very hard to start with that because people won’t even listen to what I tell them. They don’t seem to want to change the expected perceptions or belief. If I show them facts most of the time they will change their beliefs but still won’t be happy because it doesn’t match their expectations.
If she really lost her voice she wouldn’t have been able to do the interview. You don’t know or understand what it really means to not have a voice AH. Not to mention that defamation had to be found WITH MALICE, and that was what was found. As for his exes, they came and gave sworn testimonies that he was never abusive. AH AND JD had the same private entrance and the only thing there was a gate. No media or “fans” were allowed beyond the gates or to block the gates. MSM would have made a big deal if there were horrible signs and shouts being made against AH and they didn’t say anything through out the trial. Also there are all kinds of witnesses that were there and can tell you that you were wrong. Not everyone in the gallery were fans. You even had fans of your own at one point. There were lawyers who were simply interested in the trial as that is there job, trials, and to see the lawyers. No one was allowed to talk in the gallery nor could they wear costumes or shirts that indicated who’s side they were on. Those who watched the trial could see this. The public saw her lying and not admitting to any faults throughout the whole trial. The UK trail was different in so many ways: a) AH wasn’t a party but a witness meaning she didn’t win anything as it wasn’t her case. b) because she was only a witness here level of evidence wasn’t as high. c) the legality is different as it is a different country. d) most of his evidence was denied. There was no negotiation; that was AH verbally assaulting him and admitting to her doing the physical abuse. She brought in lots of the audio herself and the clips were all longer than 30 seconds. Her lawyers even had the option to bring in longer clips yet they chose not too. She didn’t argue on the stand for anything but DV and SA, so don’t try to twist it or add more now. AH had no evidence to back up her story, and each story got more elaborate each time she told it as well as adding more events. Most, if not all, of her so called abuse would have demanded medical attention as well as days of not weeks of healing. AH had so many other inconsistencies in her stories and so called evidence. Stop with your twisting of the story about the donation you never made AH. A donation is not the same as a mortgage by any stretch of the imagination. Donation means give them the money then and there, especially when you said “I donated the money”. A mortgage is having a bank pay for the house in full and then you pay the bank back in the form of a loan and if you don’t pay it back you can get into trouble such as loosing the house. No one told her to make the donation. No one told her to announce it publicly that not only did she ALREADY donate the money but that she did it because she wanted nothing in the divorce. AH chose to do both and got caught in doing none of it. That’s all on her. And yes, a large part of a defamation case is all about a person’s credibility so don’t play dumb and act like credibility had nothing to do with it. If it wasn’t a publicity stunt then why wait so long after the divorce was finalized and have the timing of so close to her first major movie role as a superhero to publish it? That seems fishy. Yes AH, since you said you had pictures then they needed to match with the abuse you described. And not only did they not match the description, but for some events you had the same photos to represent two different dates. She never looked intimidated or scared to talk her supposed SA. AH never had medical records for any of them either and, again, based on her description of those events there would have to be medical records as the the injuries would have been too severe. And it would have taken weeks to recover from. Just because you say something happens doesn’t mean it happens. Her demeanor and attitude and even the words coming out of her mouth screamed being vindictive. How is AH allowed to give Dateline these so called therapist notes when her current court case hasn’t been closed out and she is appealing it? Therapy notes are more consider medical notes. Also, those so-called notes seem to be in the same handwriting as her handwriting in her’s and JD’s love notebook they shared. Not to mention therapy notes are not long, drawn out words and sentences but rather short, abbreviated notes that are quickly written because they are writing as the patient speaks. They also MUST include dates and times on their notes for their records. AH’s so called notes had none. It is also interesting how this therapist had years of hearing her story yet AH never said her therapist encouraged her to seek help or report it or helped her make a plan. AH had her therapist on her witness list but her team never brought her in. Dr. Hughes also referred to that therapist’s notes during her testify. Was there a trial by law held in the courtroom? Yes. Was there a trial by the public? Yes. Did the trial by public influence the trial in the courtroom? NO. And there is no evidence to state otherwise. Did the trial in the courtroom influence the trial by public? Yes. We were able to watch the trial from beginning to end and evaluate the witnesses and evidence on our own and make our own conclusion. Then when the public found you in the wrong we the people shared our opinion of you online just as our freedom of speech allows us to do. JD never “promised” any amount of humiliation according the the texts we saw, but simply said it would happen implying it would be because the truth would come out. If you’re going to quote sometime then quote it correctly. She had most of the world on her side for six years simply because she said (with no other evidence) she was the victim and then during the trial it came out she had been lying to us the whole time. Many people had turned their back on JD even though they were fans because of your accusations, they tried to “have your back”. Yes, the world is allowed to feel upset, angry, and hurt for being duped and lied to by you Ms. Heard for so long. And I do believe we the people would look you in the eye/face and tell you what we feel and think of you. Consequences of your actions, dear AH, isn’t always pleasant. AH, you do care what people think of you or you wouldn’t be doing the interview. You don’t want to keep your private life private as leaked information, wrote an Op-Ed, and are doing interviews sharing details of your private life. Yes, I would telling you that your are being treated fair as this is exactly what you put JD through for six years. Are the extremists taking it too far, maybe; but it’s not the majority. Being called names is nothing. Being called out on your lies is nothing. AH, you have no evidence that any juror member did anything they weren’t supposed to do. Not everyone is attached to SM like AH seems to be. AH doesn’t even know if they have any or which SM accounts. Do not insult these people who had to give up almost two months of their lives to listen to your trial. AH didn’t take responsibility for anything. She tried to come off as perfect and perfect doesn’t exist. So yes, that attitude will impact how people see you AH. And that viewpoint point won’t be good. Also, there were at least 20 witnesses that weren’t on any one’s pay roll/family/friend list. Offended that AH considers “randos” or “average” people as beneath her. There is nothing about her that makes her better than anyone else! AH thinks so highly of herself that she assumes she has power over other DA cases. AH, you have no power over other cases or victims. Your case was all about you and JD (not to mention it was defamation case only) and EVERY CASE is different and evaluated as such! AH does not speak for anyone but herself. AH, you say you want to focus on being a mom and I’m sure you want to protect her (and that is admirable), yet you weren’t too concerned how two teenagers were going to have to grow up dealing with the mud you dragged their father in for the last six years while silencing his voice at the same time. Throughout the interview she kept changing the tense of her stories, rarely referred to herself as a victim but says victims react to or do things in third person (which implies she isn’t one) and even slips and says JD would step away (implying yet again that he is the victim). AH is even looking all over the place at times. Several time she would look SG in the eyes let alone face. She also would flip between first and third person (third person implies the person talking wasn’t there doing what was being talked about but simply an observer) and she flipped between present and past tense (implies lying because you cannot keep the story straight). AH needs real help, not just a therapist or psychiatrist who will simply listen to and placate her. It seems that JD has already been seeking help for his issues and is actually getting better. This was a trial between two people NOT social movements contrary to what AH and her team want to believe. This trial isn’t women v men. This also isn’t about taking the right to speak away from anyone but about giving voice to someone who had been silenced. This trial is about finding the truth. In a small way it was about an abuser and a victim. It was about how the stereotypes of who an abuser and victim is is not always right. Abuse doesn’t know gender. Abuse doesn’t know stereotypes. If people really want to make this one case about a movement (which it is not), then JD helped the movement as well as broadened it by showing how a (male) victim can come in with the odds stacked against them, stick to and tell the truth, and then be heard and come out the victor.
Thank you Rob for talking about therapists and mandatory reporting. Abuse victims need to know they are safe with a therapist they have connected with.
It was just revealed that Amber received one million dollars for her hour-long DateLine interview. Now imagine being paid that kind of money and given a televised platform and saying that your First Amendment Rights are being denied…
@@Stacy- i don't know if it's been confirmed, but seeing how she hadn't done any other interviews since then, I'm pretty sure they got the exclusive interview. I'm sure they paid a lot for that. I dunno how much, but I'm sure it was up there.
Rob, if you see this, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. I have nothing but respect and love for all of you, but Rob you have given me my voice again. I actually AM a DV survivor and AHs statement about “the perfect victim” not only made me boil but it brought forth some flashbacks. THANK YOU for passionately stating you will do everything in your power to eliminate horrible statements like this. That means the world to me and I’m sure other survivors. Also, I appreciate all of you. This is a great panel, and I appreciate this. Thank you all for your support. Love you guys. ❤️
1. Love Rob's passion. Totally appreciate his honesty and spot on explanation. 2. Amber used the Mortgage analogy on the stand, but Camille cut her off. I think Elaine tried to go with it in her closing arguments. Dumb 3. Amber couldn't say she felt confident the verdict would go in her favor, because that would mean she trusted the jury, which she is trying to blame for being basically incompetent. So, even if she was, she can't admit that and contradict herself. Although she does that time and time again lol. Loved the panel! Awesome stream! LOVE this content!!
2. Absolutely a YES for me 100%… and Also, as far as NOTES-Dr. Hughes kept saying “if I had notes in front of me, I could go into more detail.” She kind of made a big deal about not having her notes and someone even one Time said “are you looking down at a note?” I can’t remember whom asked this to her or to another psych witness on the stand.
@@undercovermermaid4755 Exactly, I agree. Those had to the the "Binder" she as trying to get in. Depp's team got that binder during a break, so I'm sure they know.
I have heard Chase talk often about AH and how we can ponder what she thinks about the people she is talking about based on what she thought she could pull over on them. This is so helpful for other situations.
23:13 I don't see sadness here, I see contempt. It's not like "I'm sad I've lost my voice because of the lawsuit", it's more like an "I'm mad I can't just say what I want with no repercussions anymore"
This was awesome! Tons of really interesting new takes by the guests and great chemistry overall. You guys are so fun to watch! Thank you for your time and dedication.
The voice cadence Christina describes is SPOT On! AH can go from talking like a 'baby' to a 'scorned b*tch' within two sentences. The audio tapes have shown this. Her 'JOKER" laugh is beyond insane. Actually scary. I can relate as I've been through it with my Ex. Very off-putting to say the least, they make you not only their victim in 'Real-time', they make you question your own sanity...
First, I want to say I hope you are doing better and enjoying things that make you happy. I've had family in DV situations and one of the Exes acted allot like AH. Secondly, I wanted to add that not only can AH go from talking like a baby/innocent to scorned b*ich/conniving manipulator in two sentences but we see her do it in the same sentence and the same breath multiple times throughout the trial. Again, go out and live life to the fullest.
Oh. As to the fact doctors did not report AH's crime in Australia. JD, his team and Dr and other staff. Listen to the Australia audio. The helped JD protect AH. They got her out of Australia when she wanted to stay. A story was given to the hospital about a door if I remember correctly. People do not realise how many times JD protected AH from being exposed as an abuser.
Which is what he meant by his global embarrassment comment. He (and their staff) spent years trying to protect her from herself, and he would have taken her abuses to the grave with him. He was telling her, ‘don’t corner me into defending myself...’
What's sickening is that the #METOO movement is still standing with her. I'm a victim or DV and she DOES NOT speak for me. She's a true disgrace to real DV victims.
I think it is because they feel stupid backing someone so hard then to find out that they were used. You hear them seeing IF you think she lied for the rest of the woman who don't lie we need to stand by her. lop sided BS but yeah.
The #metoo movement have supported women who were exposed to be pedos and who are actually abusers. The damn movement is a joke, as soon as it became mainstream they are going to back up anyone with a 😺 and b**bs they're full of it and will not admit they're in the wrong.
I am almost positive that Amber said cast dispersions. Also as a person who has BPD, there is no doubt in my mind that she not only feels superior to everyone, in her mind, nobody even comes close to her level of intelligence and she probably believes she metes out grace and pity equally to the lowly human milieu. Her wanting to be seen as human is def strange to her without her even understanding that it is strange to her.
The feeling superior to people doesnt really match with BPD.. thats more of a narcissistic thing. BPD doesnt mean narcissistic, its extreme emotions and feelings of perceived abandonment, and the intense reactions and actions to keep that from happening. I can see someone with narcissistic type BPD being like that, thinking they are better, but it definitely does not represent the rest of us, who are just struggling to turn our emotions from 100% intensity down to a manageable level...
@@Loveandstuff12 certainly everyone is different. But all cluster B personality disorders are plagued with lack of insight. I didn't realize I felt special until I realized essentially other people existed outside of serving my needs. BPD is absolutely marked by a lack of empathy. I didn't consciously feel superior or more important or special, but I certainly behaved as if my feelings were the only/most important feelings that existed, it was ingrained in me. Without insight, people cannot get better.
@@helianabanes4875 excuse you? Bpd is marked by an EXCESS of empathy??? We sense every possible enotional change in the people we are interacting with, mostly to make sure people dont think badly and abandon us or judge us. What RECENT research do you have for this opinion? Because research on BPD was HIGHLY biased until just recently. So show me recent and RELIABLE sources for this?
I have the diagnosis. This is my experience personally and through lots of conversation with other bpds that have reached a level of insight to the point that they start taking personal responsibility for their behavior. I also experience ENORMOUS amounts of empathy, but in practice, I have to try very very hard to put others feelings ahead of mine if I am feeling threatened. It is soooo much more complicated than anyone can comment about in a youtube video. Getting angry and lashing out because someone has had a different experience than you is maybe not the way to go about things. Ask me some questions on why I feel that instead of challenging and attacking me. I truly was not trying to say a word against anyone with BPD.
You four are clearly the best i have heard thus far. You explained your thoughts very well and i understood things that i never did and i agreed with all of you. Very well done, i hope to hear more of all of you together.
Great job guys! Thank you for your time. I’ve experienced domestic violence pretty much my entire life, either from a parent, or a partner, or being bullied and assaulted in school so I know what it feels like and how hard it is. And what Amber is presenting is not it. I have a UA-cam channel and I’m considering doing a video talking about it. Thanks Spidey for the encouragement. I couldn’t understand why I’ve been obsessing so much on this case and why I have felt such contempt and hate for this woman, and it’s because she’s basically saying that our trauma can be exploited and manipulated for an advantage and that is so disgusting of her part. She is really sick and I hope she gets some help for her daughter’s sake. Growing up with a parent as twisted as her is kind of scary.
I wish they had gone over the clip where, in response to Savannah bringing up the donation, she says “I shouldn’t have had to donate the money to be believed”. It’s been bothering me ever since I heard it..
I suggest watching Emily Baker’s commentary on that clip. Because she breaks it down well. Amber originally wanted the money for herself but then people started calling her a gold digger in the media. THAT’S why she said she donated it. Some people doubted her allegations until she “donated” the money. That’s why she said she shouldn’t have had to donate it to be believed. Emily does a great job with this one.
It's become standard for her. None of her behaviors and choices seem to the indicate the emotional states she claims. Particularly, the role of terrified victim that she's trying to play just doesn't ring true to those of us who've been actually victimized. Her antagonistic behavior towards Johnny during their relationship doesn't make sense for someone who is/was living in fear of him. When i lived with my abuser i was constantly doing the exact opposite- walking on eggshells and making my self smaller, as quiet and invisible as possible so as to avoid setting off his rage because i feared him. Purposely doing things to anger him would've put me in more danger. I just flat out don't believe most of what she says. I will agree that Johnny acted in ways that could be classified as verbally abusive; there's recordings and his own admissions of statements he made to prove it. But that stuff looks to me like it falls under what's called reactive abuse- where the victim is pushed so far for so long that they momentarily lash out in response it. Pushing a victim to that point of lashing out in reaction is a common tactic of abusers to make their victim look unstable and mean and to make themselves look like the victim.
@@hellfeather2011 I find it hard to believe her when there are audio clips like this out there showing her prodding, pushing, humiliating him again and again.... (Caution - highly triggering) ua-cam.com/video/1RMaTefMWq0/v-deo.html
Rewatching this as one of my favorite Amber analysis videos!!! All of Chase's insight into Amber's psyche = brilliant!! A part that stuck out to me: Amber: "I'm not here to call any of his witnesses any names." Also Amber: "Randos, as I say." :) Thank you for this panel and all of this great insight from a behavior perspective, legal perspective, and acting perspective! So interesting and informative!!!
Three and a half hours? SPIDEY! How did you keep my full attention for so long? You lil rascal, you! A BIG thank you to you and Chase and Christina and Rob for a (way too) fascinating show.
I am still waiting for someone to find out how she made it through six weeks in the court, speaking and hearing about triggering events, without having a panic attack or meltdown. She used those words and said she has them, even on set, if someone startles her. She says she wakes up screaming. How did she not have these experiences in the courtroom?
I did see her pathetic attempt to pretend to be triggered by the cabinet slamming video. It was quite comical because she was there in person while he was slamming the cabinets, but she was never scared or concerned for her safety. She actually laughs and had a very proud smirk, after she picks up the phone. But in court, suddenly she's afraid & would flinch when there was loud sounds, while displaying that unnatural forced scowl. It was bad acting, just like her testimony.
@@stpfs9281 That was so CRINGE! How is she not embarrassed?! She looked so ridiculous! Terrible, awful actress! And an even worse person! She really needs help! But she's too far up her own arse to ever admit it or get it! She is a 🤡🤡
Really appreciate you Spidey for setting up the tone for this conversation, and for keeping it within the bounds of facts and analysis. Undoubtedly AH is coming across very negatively, but I rarely hear you paint her in a bad picture. You do the most fantastic job of keeping it extremely rational, and I love that. Lot of streams that I have seen fail to do so, so appreciate your unpolarized view on things a lot
From the first clip... no one talks like this. This just reads soap opera to me. As Chase said, this is one of the reasons why the jurors felt uncomfortable during testimony. It feels unnatural and nearing uncanny valley (because it is). As someone with ADHD that has trouble being anything but blatant and brutally honest when I'm emotional, I am very aware of how people naturally communicate because I observe and try to mimic it/incorporate into my public mask as I know I can be unintentionally offensive/rude. I don't like hurting other people, so I try really hard to understand the best way to communicate with others. On top of this all... it's not logical for her and her lawyers to be doing a publicity circuit right now. Heard was just found guilty on all counts. The minute they decided to speak instead of putting their heads down and coming up with a plan, they ruined every chance that their appeal would be successful on any level. Moreover, no one is going to want to work with Heard in fear that they will be taken to court for who knows what. Whether any of what she said was true, she's lied about too much for anything she says to be believed. I took her initial claims to be plausible and I waited for the evidence. The evidence has come out and I no longer trust ANYTHING she says. The evidence tells of a toxic relationship. Neither of them were angels. Both of them did bad things. One decided to take it outside closed doors and still doesn't realize that gaslighting doesn't work on the public... but boy is she gonna try...
I thought so too. Just tone deaf to do a public relations tour now. She KNOWS how she’s perceived. Well, I guess it’s just more evidence of what we already know. It seems that more people could see her as human, if she quietly got some serious mental help. I don’t know if the diagnosis given her are curable or just manageable. She could then reappear as more human.
I think she wants another shot at snowing everyone. She's gotten so used to getting her way with everything because she's an actress and everyone caters to her ego, including her sister. She says Johnny is surrounded by "yes men" but she surrounds herself with "yes friends." She's not used to people not giving her the utmost respect and honor. She can't abide with the public thinking she's anything less than perfect, so in her mind she thinks she just didn't get her point across; and she probably thinks that has a lot to do with the limitations of what was allowed in as evidence. Now that she's not in a court of law she feels like she has a chance to redeem herself without restraints. She's so delusional that she really thinks she can change the public perception of who she is. This woman is the height of narcissism.
I THINK,,, AH is doing interviews to show JD’s lawyers that she can and will continue to defame him… unless… they wave the 8 million. That’s her bargaining chip. Wave the 8 mil, and I’ll shut up.
I would absolutely love to see Christina do a full analysis from an acting standpoint on AH previous interviews and how her portrayal changed over time. I was very interested when she was talking about that
I love where Christina copies Amber Heard's mannerisms, it pulls it into a different perspective. I love seeing Rob's expressions, how he always turns away when he hears something he doesn't like. I also love him detailing the law involved. Also I think Spidey needs a new chair.
Its amazing how this behavior panel makes 3 hours of analysis feels like 15 minutes. Its feels so intense yet so entertaining. thankyou! P. S i stayed up at middle of the night for this even tho im beat.
I was almost literally murdered at 8 months pregnant and thanks to women like Amber it almost cost myself and my son our lives before the police would believe me. Her lies about abuse sicken me. 👍
Yes! I also was a DV victim. Homeless with two babies because of him as he would take the money I had, he would make sure I couldn’t even speak to other people. Isolated from my family. I would never had the nerve to say the things she said to Depp. I was afraid to stir up anymore strife! At the time u r afraid, u want peace and calm. I was not wanting to “set him off” yet she was in his face, she followed him! She was the abuser! I can feel it as I hear her voice talking and screaming to him. He was the one who didn’t know what to do. If he hit her back he would have been in jail. He wasn’t in jail because he never hit her.
So glad you're here. So glad. Same, but not pregnant. Finally escaped when my kids were two and four; stayed in hiding for a year. What most people do not understand about domestic violence is that it's statistically proven that more women die trying to leave an abusive relationship than at any other time in the relationship (because it's a threat to the abuser's control over the person being abused and is a threat to the truth about them because in many cases the victim is the only witness to the reality of psychopathic abusers), so leaving is an existential decision. When there are children involved (born or not), that existential decision is far more existential: if you don't survive, it is not only your lives that are in danger of being sacrificed to try to save yourself.
Omg! I’m so sorry that happened to you and your son. So scary and frightening. I’m also a Dv survivor and know exactly how you feel, and it’s not a feeling that just goes away. I also have children and know the feeling.I’m so happy you were able to get out of that relationship. It’s a shame because woman like AH take our stories and use them for her own and it’s just sickening and mind boggling. She has absolutely no idea what it feels like to be in that predicament, and has no clue what woman like us go through and what we deal with emotionally and physically. It’s been 5 years since I left my abuser and it still brings uncontrollable tears , anxiety and hurt when I talk about it. AH needs to stop with these allegations and seek professional help
I concur. I’m so sorry for what you endured. I, myself, am a victim of abuse she’s done so much damage to survivors and current victims. Her lies are staggering and so harmful.
I have to say, watching the four of you was a great experience. Seeing the four of you, from four different walks of life, come together to give four different points of view was quite informative. Thank you all for taking the time to put this together. I know we all appreciate it.
Such a fabulous livestream. I watched it live and then came back to rewatch it. These four professionals together are MAGIC. Thank you thank you thank you. Please come together again!
For the op-ed, and several years prior to this case....she wanted people to think that she was an abuse victim. I find it strange that her focus now is having people see her "as a human being". She always felt disingenuous to me, though it's even worse now.
I wonder if she can get a reduced "sentence/punishment" if she declared herself as mentally ill? Maybe that's the next step.. Would have loved to ask @Rob that.
Amber Heard wants to be Famous… on her terms . If being a victim is popular, she’s a victim. True or not. If being a “human being “ is where it’s at, she’s a human being. But that’s the rub, we want honesty , flawed is ok, but we want honesty
I deeply respect the attention you gave to "No bullying." Let's love each other as much as we can, respect one another even when we feel no love, and keep our mouths shut if we have nothing good to say. (quoting Grandma)
THOUGHT THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL REGARDING WHAT I DESCRIBED AS I WAS LEAVING:
Building YOUR frame should follow the same process, which will be covered in a moment.
EXPECATION
- What’s probably going to happen is…
This is the first in line because it’s the easiest to exploit or subvert. My autopilot script I have for this doesn’t apply here.’
BELIEFS
- What’s probably true about this situation is…
Someone’s beliefs are next in line because they are the second easiest to subvert.
It happens naturally when authority is present, but here’s the process to subvert the second corner of the frame:
1. Subvert expectations by causing something to happen that lets their brain know this isn’t what they expected
2. Determine or estimate what they are likely to believe about the situation from a hierarchical perspective
3. Ensure your behavior is above their expectations without resorting to overpowering them
When we speak about frames, it is inevitable that most people will begin to think in terms of social status and hierarchy.
PERCEPTION
- What’s true about this is…
Nothing about someone’s perceptions is the truth, per se, but this is what they believe to be true through their own lens.
Here's how a person’s frame will (unconsciously) collapse into your frame thus far:
1. You’ve created a situation where they are no longer able to make predictions about you.
2. You’ve behaved in a way they didn’t expect, and have now stopped them from making assumptions about your behavior.
3. Now, in the Perception corner of the frame, they no longer resort to a solid foundation of ‘truth’ about the situation, so they are more open and willing to assume your frame
Now let’s look at what’s totally true…
DEFINITION
- What’s absolutely true is…
When someone defines what’s true here, they are referring to their position, title, rules they must follow, and actual authority given to them in a current situation.

Oh wow! Bless you two!

That's how I feel too.
Or that, “It comes from the Greek,” language lesson.
Amber wants to be an expert on everything like she gave a tutorial on free speech.
@@murderoustendenciesthat is true victims to react differently but no victim ever starts a physical fight
@@sallymascorrothat's not true. When people have had enough, they will fight back even physically.
Exactly! The judge should’ve been recused due to a conflict of interest but I have no idea how UK courts work.
The judges wife was at a dinner with Heard during the trial. Amber's attorney was good friends with the judges wife. There are so many other issues along with the couple mentioned here.
I was trying to put this into words in my own comment, and I couldn't have said it this well! Thank you!
Wow! I hadn’t heard that!
@@Stacy- mind boggling!
Exactly...
I couldn’t have said it better! IK the feeling the hurt! And HOW LONG IT TOOK TO BE A SURVIVOR, she makes it sound like o I just added ice and arnica… Arnika! It is a long road… don’t act like o it was easy … lol
your not a victim I don't believe you. you have ruined a man's life with your lies
“I’m not a perfect victim.” -Amber Heard
Amber clearly doesn’t know what the hell it feels like to be abused.
When I was abused my mind vanished. Survival mechanisms took over. I didn’t choose anything, let alone how to perfect being a victim.
Thank you for sharing that Jonathan. Victims have no gender!
She continues to verbally abuse him! The taunting ah does is sickening to victims of dv/sa.
There is no such thing as a perfect victim, your brain does into survival mode to protect yourself
You have no choice about your life when you’re being abused. I was just trying to survive the moment. Finally I got scared enough to walk away.
My bank will foreclose on me if I ONLY pledge to pay them but forget to send the actual payment.
What a great example but an even greater life lesson for your child. This is what good parents do!
As a survivor of DV and SA, thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you. Amber is not my champion, she is part of the reason that future victims won't be believed.
Thank you for being an advocate for people like me around the word
"If you listen carefully, between her breaths , you can actually hear Amber Heard lie."
Best comment. IDK who wrote it, but it describes her so well.
Every time I hear Amber say “I never had to instigate physical violence,”all I can think is, no Amber, you CHOSE to instigate violence. It drives me crazy
Edit - So interesting on the need for pity & significance! Dr Curry indicated that histrionic individuals vacillate between a princess & a victim ie pity. And borderline individuals are terrified of abandonment ie being so insignificant as to be left & discarded. I find that very interesting
Thank you Christina! She wants to be seen as a human and then repeatedly dehumanizes Johnny! I was so hoping someone would point that out 🙌🏻
Pykles pointed that out.
🤣🤣 Yeah she looked super weird/off when she made the scissors/for fingers comment. Almost mentally ill.
I totally agree 👍💯
She could be completely sober and she'd still be doing this interview. She has already justified her actions in her own head and she believes in that justification. She is the victim in her own mind, he's the monster because she can't control him anymore! Classic smear campaign especially if you discard (walk away) from the relationship!
She has too many MEGA PINTS 🍻
She has BPD she isn’t predatory. She has all affective empathy and zero cognitive empathy. She’s a vulnerable narcissist, needy, emotional, fears abandonment, anxiety, self harming, suicidal. Depp is pathological manipulator, liar, dismissive, needs for power, control, authority, lacks remorse, lacks empathy and emotions, is glib, has rage and sadism disorder ASPD traits, Depp has NPD and some ASPD traits he is predatory. Chase is a sociopath as well he has ASPD+ NPD factor 2 features sociopathy

Exactly 👏
Good point! I hated how she answered that question!! It was basically a historical question, at that moment in time, did you feel confident? She should know how she felt?! Eg. I felt confident bc I felt I showed good evidence. Etc. She shouldn't be acting like it's a moral dilemma to answer

Seems about right
You called it. Spot on.
Recently she was shopping with the “randos” at T.J. maxx. 😚 interesting how TMZ filmed her at the store.😉
When AH was on the witness stand during cross-examination, she defiantly said, "I have never NEVER called myself a victim. And I never will."
In this interview, she says, "I'm not a good victim... a likable victim... a perfect victim..."
So now she is using "victim" as if it's a role to act out, and she feels she was not giving a convincing performance portraying that character because no one believed her.
Lies over lies over lies over lies omg
Yes. At the time of the abuse she didn’t think she was a victim. Everyone is calling her a liar, so she’s using the word victim because in this case she is the victim. She isn’t lying
@Prashant Mahar yes. She didn’t lie. She said he hit her so hard it felt like her nose was broken. She don’t say she had a broken nose
@Prashant Mahar many women don’t have medical records after they get abused, and she had pictures.
@Prashant Mahar she told her therapist alot of stuff that was going on with Depp and the relationship. There was proof.
I'd like to suggest The Behavior panel
The thing is it is true, it is a good question if you need time to answer.
I questioned that as well. I'm not a survivor either, but I what is her her definition of violence?
Every word u have said is fact is also embarrassment the way they manipulate
Still to this day a year on it's still sticks witu you and in your mind never stops and I dont talk about it it's all within me she is far from a victim like she said shes is not a Victim aggressively her words then she is a victim lol she dont speak on behalf of survivors thats what I prefer to address it as

I nearly didn't watch this as I am so tired with Amber Heard BUT I am SO VERY VERY VERY glad I did. Such a fantastic group to listen to, learn from and spend such productive time. What an amazing combination of people, expertise and respect. Thank you
I love the guys, but Christina was a breath of fresh air. A female voice, literally, and also bringing in a perspective that the guys won't have.
No, she just thought she was the main character and flirty
Great point. Above all, the TRUTH hurts the most.
@@sirvilhelmofyonderland These people will not accept the truth because they don’t want to .
I recall calling her that on one of my comments on may 😂Well, Sorry not sorry
@@Len_J_ Oh my. You are deaf.
And a troll!
That was the dumbest most ridiculous thing I think she has ever said!
It's worse than that, as she isn't talking about johnny... she is talking about the lawyers like they are acting and they are as good as he is!? WHAT!?
“Says the lawyer…… for the man….. who convicted the world…… he had scissors for fingers…………….?”
It got the focus off her, maybe that was her aim. Because the question was embarrassing to her (performance of a lifetime?) meaning you're a liar and the piddly roles you've gotten up to now haven't even been as big as this trial?
You mean Edward's fake? Jack Sparrow too? Disgusting honestly...but she may not know the difference between reality and fiction herself.
@@sarahlang2119 to be fair you are. Their feminism, read misandry.
The problem is most people don't believe her. The ones that do seem to be largely toxic feminists, not feminists, toxic feminists.
However you know what I CAN say we are? We are PROUD to be SURVIVORS!!! 💪
Also Christina, this is an INCREDIBLY dangerous narrative that mainstream media is putting out there!!!!
Funny how instead she managed to provide a photo of the bed that's been tampered with. Or a photo of Johnny lying on the floor.
I just love Rob's passion for the law. His explanation on the Sun case is the UK and how it doesn't apply was explained simply and plainly. There is a true talent in explaining complex concepts simply. Thank you Rob.
My thoughts exactly
Exactly I knew Amber would be spewing crap - so I wasn’t interested in watching the interview … lol
I LOVED WATCHING ROB BREAK THAT DOWN.
She also said "the notes were TAKEN by her doctor." She didn't say they were WRITTEN by her doctor.
It looks as though those notes are in her handwriting. My interpretation is that she wrote them and handed them to her therapist. The therapist physically took them from her.
It was also referenced by the experts that testified! So it was used!
Plus her legal team could have called that doctor as a witness if they wanted to
Very detailed analysis. It looks like you have really thought about it. Good job.
Excellent points, I agree and thank you!
Word! Personality disorder for sure!
Thank you.
Chase is absolutely brilliant. And Rob is just insanely qualified. What a panel.
I'm just in love with Rob! In a professional way. I watched the video when he de-buncked
the "bed" breaking. It was ridiculous to think that anyone with that had two brain cells to rub together thought the bed could break from a boot that way.
A channel called "Black Belt Barrister" a UK lawyer goes through the entire UK trial and why he believes the Judge in the UK got it wrong.
Thoughts?
It is very plausible.
I agree! this does make sense.
Same exact thought!
Rob the statement you made to the media about the quote (perfect or imperfect victim) was nothing short of being a hero! I only wish I was watching it live to be able to tell you in real time
How bout I send him a screenshot of this comment? 😊
Chase is my favourite behavioural panel expert. He always comes up with a fresh view from the other three. Fascinating analysis.
I totally agree with you.
He backs up his view with science
in court she adamantly denies, angrily so, EVER calling herself "a victim " yet she's calling herself a victim in this interview
A new contradiction. She can't help herself. It's like she lied so much she doesn't even remember what she did or didn't say. She also admitted on stand that the OpEd was about Johnny, yet here she is denying it.
Shhhhh she thinks we are all stupid and won’t remember any of that
Christinas insight as an actress was especially invaluable concerning amber heards behaviour
Wow!! Chase blew my mind at the end.
Expectation>Perception>Beliefs>Facts = Frame
This was a wonderful panel with good insights.
Chase is exceptional!
Layperson? What does that mean?
Please don't tell me that a new version of layman, as in layman's terms.
Chase is great!
So glad to hear Rob explain the UK trial. I didn't realize she was only a witness in that trial. 😳 Thanks so much!
Jesus Christ, you wrote a novel in the comments!

Can you provide a source for that info? The million dollar payout?

THANK YOU for passionately stating you will do everything in your power to eliminate horrible statements like this. That means the world to me and I’m sure other survivors. Also, I appreciate all of you. This is a great panel, and I appreciate this. Thank you all for your support. Love you guys. ❤️

1. Love Rob's passion. Totally appreciate his honesty and spot on explanation.
2. Amber used the Mortgage analogy on the stand, but Camille cut her off. I think Elaine tried to go with it in her closing arguments. Dumb

The audio tapes have shown this. Her 'JOKER" laugh is beyond insane.

Chase is fantastic! I watch him on the behavioral panel and I love him there. Law and Lumbar is amazing as well. This was a great panel to have!
What's sickening is that the #METOO movement is still standing with her. I'm a victim or DV and she DOES NOT speak for me. She's a true disgrace to real DV victims.
Women like her are partly the reason why I didn't speak out.
Same here.
100% agree - her and Smollett really screwed up future true victims credibility
I think it is because they feel stupid backing someone so hard then to find out that they were used. You hear them seeing IF you think she lied for the rest of the woman who don't lie we need to stand by her. lop sided BS but yeah.
The #metoo movement have supported women who were exposed to be pedos and who are actually abusers. The damn movement is a joke, as soon as it became mainstream they are going to back up anyone with a 😺 and b**bs they're full of it and will not admit they're in the wrong.
WOW! As a marketing guy, this is the most valuable video I have watched in quite a bit! Love your channel and honesty, You're on the right path!!!
She will be like Mommy Dearest, im worried for that kid
I wish they had gone over the clip where, in response to Savannah bringing up the donation, she says “I shouldn’t have had to donate the money to be believed”. It’s been bothering me ever since I heard it..
I suggest watching Emily Baker’s commentary on that clip. Because she breaks it down well. Amber originally wanted the money for herself but then people started calling her a gold digger in the media. THAT’S why she said she donated it. Some people doubted her allegations until she “donated” the money. That’s why she said she shouldn’t have had to donate it to be believed. Emily does a great job with this one.
I agree
True. It’s crazy logic. Like …”I shouldn’t have to stop at the stop sign to be believed I stopped at the stop sign” it’s literally insane logic.
She got the interview arranged and the paycheck for doing it set up really damn quick for someone who’s “terrified” to speak the truth.
She should have to turn over that paycheck to JD, promptly
Have you listened to Joe Rogan? His podcast are 2- 3.5 hrs. I am addicted to his guest. Has a variety of interesting guest.
I am still waiting for someone to find out how she made it through six weeks in the court, speaking and hearing about triggering events, without having a panic attack or meltdown. She used those words and said she has them, even on set, if someone startles her. She says she wakes up screaming. How did she not have these experiences in the courtroom?
She badly pretended to in court when coming off the stand,
JD moved in her direction, triggering the bad acting.
agreed, wondered that myself
I did see her pathetic attempt to pretend to be triggered by the cabinet slamming video. It was quite comical because she was there in person while he was slamming the cabinets, but she was never scared or concerned for her safety. She actually laughs and had a very proud smirk, after she picks up the phone. But in court, suddenly she's afraid & would flinch when there was loud sounds, while displaying that unnatural forced scowl. It was bad acting, just like her testimony.
Her lawyers couldn't explained it if they tried, because she can't be triggered if she was never a used. Which we all know, she never was. Good point!
Christina is excellent at reading Amber’s personality.
Definitely like watching a soap opera
@@JaneSmith0709 I was just going to say, she's the picture you see next to "narcissist" in the dictionary! I agree.
I was very interested when she was talking about that
Same!!!!!
I would like to see her address "the stare"
I love where Christina copies Amber Heard's mannerisms, it pulls it into a different perspective. I love seeing Rob's expressions, how he always turns away when he hears something he doesn't like. I also love him detailing the law involved. Also I think Spidey needs a new chair.
Its amazing how this behavior panel makes 3 hours of analysis feels like 15 minutes. Its feels so intense yet so entertaining. thankyou!
P. S i stayed up at middle of the night for this even tho im beat.
I agree with Rob that she isn't deserving of wasting anymore of our time. I appreciate all of the truth and insights from each of the panelists.

NAILED IT. MasterClass was awesome!
This was an awesome video! Thanks to each of you!
Remember though she’s “never called herself a victim” at least that was her testimony…
Amber Heard wants to be Famous…
on her terms . If being a victim is popular, she’s a victim. True or not. If being a “human being “ is where it’s at, she’s a human being. But that’s the rub, we want honesty , flawed is ok, but we want honesty
