Join us as we go through the new plans for Chessington over the next couple of years, this confirms the closure of several attractions, as well as announcements for a brand new themed land and an all new roller coaster for the park. Could this be the new Minecraft theme that Merlin have suggested earlier this year?
This includes news on Scorpion Express, Zufari, Wild Asia and the zoo, all we should get full news of by the end of 2024. What do you think? Let us know in the comments.

absoutley gutted to see wild asia & scorpion heading out the park especially as scorpion is so iconic from 1987 but fingers crossed the new wild asia area will be good

Scorpion express was my first coaster and used to be my favorite when I was tiny so it's very sad seeing it go
Surprised a little about wild asia, differently some big investments coming over the coming month's/years can't wait to see the finally when finally all open. Keep up the amazing videos such a big fan 🎉🎉🎉

I personally think Wild Asia was long overdue a revamp. Bland area really apart from Kobra but even that ride looks dull.
Wild Asia was the last error I thought they would be removing! Mexicana (Rattlesnake) or Tiger Rock I honestly thought would go first

I agree that wild Asia isn’t the first area that springs to mind in terms of needing work but I imagine it’s more to do with how much space it takes up rather than the state it was in
Indeed the space which can be used around it is a huge factor in making the area considerably bigger. Looks interesting for sure
Merlin investing in its theme parks a lot over next couple of years by the looks of it... Universal pressure indeed 💪

It seems like the end for scorpion express and we won't even get to do a last ride.
It's such a shame as well knowing the work that was done to try and reopen the ride.
It is great to see Chessington are plaining new things there for the nexr few years. But they should do a complete new retrack on vampire ride & bring back bubbble works too
Well seeing bubble works win most missed ride and them collecting it should have been an eye opener
@@UKThemeParks that is very true what you just said and I hope they don't get rid of ratte snake ride because that good to go on. They should get rid of the zufari ride and put something better
@@knightrider2738 rattlesnake is an odd one out in all this, ZUFARI I think is gone
@@UKThemeParks ZUFARi wasn't that that good really & I think Chessington should but a rumpa rapids ride there where ZUFARI was
@@UKThemeParksMy Parents,Younger Sister and I all rode Zufari in its first year of operation. All the scenery wasn’t as extensive as it is now we were impressed with the experience. My Parents and I rode Zufari again in the July just gone. We were all disappointed by the aviation deterioration of Zufari most notably the Cave. The Cave was definitely the best part of Zufari in its early years. Furthermore we were shocked by how quiet Zufari was. We all reflected on how we were previously held in the pre show with the Lemur. I hope Zufari gets the TLC it requires although I wouldn’t be shocked if Zufari is removed over the coming Closed Season.

Rattlesnake should go and the space could be utilised with the UK’s first RMC (wild moose). A compact and thrilling new family thrill which would be far more comfortable ride than rattlesnake.

Relocate the dodgems to Alton Towers
My guess for Monkey Swinger is if Chessington can't relocate and it's doable for a refurbishment, I think it could relocate to Thorpe Park or even Alton Towers.
Rattlesnake is safe for now.
I wonder if Kobra will stay open during the construction period which could be doable.
I'd have thought Land of the Dragons, Tiny Truckers and Flying Jumbos would be higher priorities for redevelopment or replacement. It could happen alongside Project Play.

Adam I have a thought. In 2020 The Flying Jumbo’s entered The Elmer Sponsorship. This was a 4 year contract and expected to expire this year. Taking this into account could The Flying Jumbo’s be removed from Chessington due to their age. If this Ride was removed could Monkey Swinger potentially be relocated to the location over the closed season. Should Temple Of Mayhem be demolished and the Glamping Field redeveloped this could be walled off for next season. This would allow this corner of Wild Asia to be prepared for the overall renovation in 2026. I agree I think Tuck Tuck Turmoil is a goner. Monkey Swinger had a massive upgrade at the start of the year so I doubt it’ll be going. I wouldn’t be surprised if Wild Asia becomes an expansion for Land Of The Tiger. The fact Tiger Rock is included in the plans tells me it’ll be part of the area.
UK Theme Parks do you think my thoughts are realistic?
The development areas should mean other rides aren't being removed (without something out the ordinary happening) there is space marked for a potential move, you'll have to figure that one out for now!

Shame to see Scorpion Express go btw I remember riding it on a school trip 5 years ago also remembered riding rattlesnake as well

Removing Wild Asia?!?!?! whyyy it's the best cohesive themed area in the park...
About 4 other areas I would’ve removed before wild Asia, the vibe of that area is great. Hopefully monkey swinger can survive in some form, the rest of the attractions won’t be missed at least.

never thought wild asia would be leaving.. but im happy to see mexicana and that whole area getting some love, if its anything like CBeebies land im sure it will be really good if its towards iP's the have maybe Coco melon?
Coco does make sense could work really well, double IP though is disappointing given the great work in non themes areas
@@UKThemeParks coco is one of the most popular programs for kids so if they pulled it off it would be super popular, but i feel in a family park aimed towards kids they would rather see these IPs. but from an enthusiasts view obviously i would rather a non ip area
Would wild Asia leave this season? Or is it staying for 2025 season ?
I wouldn't think it will go yet as planning isn't even in, could see it as early as end of next season
I wonder if Tuk tuk terminal jungle bus and monkey swinger will get moved to another park if they don’t keep them
Jungle bus is new so would expect that to go to the Mexicana development. Other 2 are up in the air

2027 was what I was told if all goes to plan for wild Asia today. I think they want project play to be open in 12 months so possibly in 2025. All going to plan according to what I was told at consultation

I think that looks like a vekoma or intamin coaster
Given two they work with, would think Vekoma, however we hear it's more gringotts
To me that track looks like intamin multi-dimension could potentially be worlds first track element or something
To be honest I think Chessington is not the same anymore like since they changed the logo the adventure was dropped and it don’t feel the same like there getting rid of all the worlds in Chessington it’s just sad
I'm not super keen on all the IPs to be honest, the new Wild Asia one will be popular, perhaps they can compensate but ditching Gruffalo

As for the water park it’s still in discussion and has been pushed up to discussions with mayor of london
Yea they are positive to get it agreed, it's expensive especially given the price tag of this project. It would be amazing if it does

To be honest buddy love your channel but the little face cam you don’t need that in these videos brother. It’s just a waste of time in your editing. Audio is perfect enough especially as the eyes will be on the maps and the locations instead of your face. Just a bit off constructive criticism love your channel bro

Park so crap now won't make a difference I done all uk themeparks and this is the one I would never ever waste my time with disneyland was cheaper than thos place and that's not even a joke
