Even at 72, I enjoy decorating my home with treasures that bring me joy. My home projects challenge me, mentally and physically, and they keep me on my feet and moving. I also enjoy watching others, as they make a house, their home.
Oh, it's a delight to hear of a lady who is still loving her home and improving it, Miss Judy! It does keep you on your toes - I moved three mattresses today as we bought a new one, and we upgraded the guest bedroom. It's so fun to tend to a home! Thanks for stopping and sharing!

Hi Rachel 👋 It's because I found your channel that I'm beginning my English country cottage makeover in our home. I've found some really nice transferware pieces and I "shopped" things I already owned to create something beautiful. We have a variety of furniture, mostly old, some antique and some new pieces but I'm learning how to make them all work together. I love your channel and can't wait for new content.

I've been checking out all the thrift, flea market, marketplace and antique stores in my area and have been finding some wonderful affordable pieces to add to my collection. I wish I could show you this amazing tray I bought for $10 off MP. It is so gorgeous and heavy and beautifully ornate. You would love it. Anyway, thanks so much for your encouragement! Oh my goodness, such amazing treasures!! The blue and white pitchers are gorgeous ❤️ I found a gold lamp a couple months ago, no shade. Finally found one that fit for1.50. I tried my hand at reupholstering for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I have a couple small clipper ships as well with an older style whale in front of them. You find such beautiful artwork. Just love all your finds, good job!

As a collector of blue and white ironstone for 40 years, I was so happy to see you did get that sweet blue oval dish. And I adore blue and white pitchers for flowers or just decor. The scenes are always so gorgeous . Just love the standing and sitting terriers!

Yay, a visit from Mrs. Rachel! I love the dog figurines, they look like Lefton. And that framed lithograph of the castle was a real find! I was so intrigued by it that I Googled more information. It's now a luxury hotel and restaurant. While I'll never be able to go there in this life, one can always dream ♥

We are really enjoying the progress thus far and just hung bamboo blinds a couple of days ago. The progress may be slow, but it's fun to watch the room evolve!
That white cabbage oval dish...would be perfect for planting miniature daffodils and grape hyancinths for indoor blooms...add a velvet green runner for spring with lace tablecloth.

Have been going back and watching your previous videos. Loved your haul. And love your Eastlake chair. I inherited several pieces that belonged to my great grandfather. All of those pieces were in my bedroom as a child. I’m the 4th generation to have this furniture. Eastlake furniture is so stunning.

If you use your antique pitchers for flowers make sure they’re faux or put a glass or jar into the pitcher to hold water and fresh flowers. Don’t put water and fresh flowers directly into the pitcher or it will cause crazing.

I had a friend over for tea today whose husband is a skilled carpenter. We looked over the possibilities and may be able to work out a trade since we have a painting company, and they may need some painting. We'll see!
I would sparingly brush dry white paint on brick fireplace so color of brick is toned down, so it looks aged.
