For the record, for the past few months I tried to warn people to be cautious with the premature praise for Halo Infinite as in "Starting from season 4, It's only been months of playing catch up let's give it a year at least before we start saying it's been fully redeemed and deserves an award nomination" It's only the first month of 2024 and they already said support for Halo Infinite is going to start declining and this is a LIVE SERVICE game... yeah, it ain't looking good we'll see what happens as time goes on.
Its nice that 343 has the shiny keys of old Master Chief armor they can pull out at any time to jangle around when they want to get everyones attention.
It really is just more of a testament to old Bungie isn’t it? They immortalized and made the IP sturdy af to where 343 can butcher it for 13 years and still get a 5th attempt to make another mainline Halo game. A lot of other game studios dont get that many chances but it is what it is.
i think the community needs to fight to have their armor purchases to carry over to the next game since they ripped everyone off with this game... call of duty did it!
What's wild to me as that they had a good foundation for adding campaign content. Ffs, the campaign is considered DLC. They could built upon that, but instead they focused too hard on nonsense.
If campaign splitscreen for Infinite was shelved to "achieve seasonality" and seasons are now not a thing then shouldn't campaign splitscreen be back on the table? Where is it 343i?
After Halo Infinite, I have lost faith in this franchise and everything related to it. Going forward, I'm going to assume every game made by 343 will absolutely be ass
as someone who loves stories. to see both call of duty and halo battle it out with each other to see who's better, it's sad to see them both go to shit
Reeeeeally hope the next Halo's a good one. Infinite was hopefully the wake-up call 343 and MS needed to fix this series. The new management at 343 seems pretty good though. Ever since the shakeup, things have been a lot more positive honestly. Not ideal, but the difference between pre-shakeup Infinite and post-shakeup is almost night and day. You're absolutely right on the game needing to not be F2P next time. If the next Halo game is fully feature complete, and fun at launch, then I don't see any reason to not spend $60, or even $70 (normally I'm against $70 games, but a great, feature complete Halo game with no microtransactions would feel worth it to me). The next Halo needs a good, mission-based campaign, a good launch roster of maps and modes, fully unlocked customization (including custom emblems again), playable Elites (and maybe even playable Brutes), Forge, Firefight, working Theater and Custom Games (with all the standard custom game options this time), and some extra big mode (maybe Invasion 2.0 with maps specifically for it and AI implemented to make the battles feel even bigger). Ideally I'd also want classic movement and red vs. blue team colors back, among a bunch of other things, but 343 seem too stubborn to budge on classic movement at least.
Yeah, I would really like classic movement back but I'm sure 343's Halo community doesn't care about it to ask for it. All we can really hope is that they focus on designing the next Halo around what the original bungie devs designed it around which, is a fun arena shooter party game easily accessible by anyone instead of chasing trends trying to be an esports/competitive game with sprinting and sliding. Only time will tell.
Can we at least get a A.i cortana voice as a bot or any major voice actor from halo games to Voice A.I in-game for matches. I don't understand why 343 haven't push A.I voice for the shop they would sell like hot cakes
This game series was never a continuously supported game even with Bungie so it's no surprise. If you remember back in the day the only added content to halo was grifball and stuff like that which was community made aswell. And the occasional maps which eventually ended too for each installment.
Their next game is their “Put Up or Shut Up” game. I was actually getting ready to do what you kept suggesting and give this game one more year before giving up entirely, and then it turns out they’re the ones giving up 🤣.
@@JJAB91 Oh you’re totally right. I guess I meant more in the sense of 343 being like “Oh god we barely made it out of that one alive, now this is our LAST last chance.”
Honestly they're going to be in a tuff spot as a company (like actually tuff and not put out microtransaction monster for a guaranteed bare minimum salary tuff) if any leaks, official news or confirmation on the next title don't meet a high expectation. Players are getting smarter and are starting to realize they should expect less than what 343 promises, much less. The game might not even break daylight before it's over. When it comes to the median of concurrent players, the final stretch of content might just dictate how people are going to respond to any news of the next one. Anyways, I'm going back to bronzeville in ranked now.
Season 6 out of 10 planned seasons dropping and we are still getting features that should have been available at launch. Firefight is nice but its a default Halo game mode. If campaign isnt getting any more support, im kinda done with infinite. I gave season 5 a spin and guns still feel weak, shields last forever, and game modes are a mess. Its nice having new maps but there needs to be a voting process for maps so we dont get stuck with the same maps over and over.
It's amazing How Halo 3 had Veto and Reach actually had voting, but nothing since.... Why can't 343 trash their UI and just copy Reach's, it was better in every way. Just adapt it for M+K and more players.
No offense to anyone but this game was so miserable since the begginig to the end i cant believe why the halo community likes being done like this by a studio
Thats usually how it is with a lot of fanbases some people just want nothing but to consume more Halo regardless of what it is so long as they find some level of enjoyment with it. I can understand that it’s just a whole different conversation if someone tries to tell me Halo Infinite is a good game because enjoyment and good are not entirely the same.
The gameplay was fine bro. Just because there weren’t enough maps or LiVe uPdAtEs the game played fine. Relatively bugless. Way more balanced on release than the latest cod, and battlefield even the ones that were out a year or more before halo infinite. Short on content, but definitely did the job
I think 343 done moved on a while ago, pretty much as soon as forge dropped. We've gotten 1 new weapon, a few equipments, a few maps and not much else out of 343. Entire playlists and events contain only forge maps. What is the current ratio of dev to forge maps? 1 to 10? Also sorry if you bought armor, thatll vanish eventually.
Disappointing news, though for me community playlists (Squad Battle, Husky Raid, Tenrai 3, Halo 3 refueled) were the most meaningful addition of the last 6 months, so if they set up the pipeline to add community maps and playlists frequently, the game should be in a good spot. BTB and Firefight maps "next month", Husky Raid and Squad Battle - later.
So that's it? All they're going to show for themselves is the same things we've had since 2001, one vehicle (albeit a damn good one), a precision weapon, and a shotgun? I'm not even mad, I'm just disappointed that 343 wasted eight whole years on "developing" such a nothing game.
Regarding cosmetic progression, them saying they are “exploring” the possibility of giving us more options makes me a little nervous. Sure it could mean they will do it, or it could mean they simply thought about it and eventually they could just go “….nah” like with split screen.
the fucking micro transactions for any kind of armor, and the maximum 10 minute quick play matches that feel like a fuster cluck feel like a cash grab. makes me not want to pla y it
It's literally called "Legendary Weapon Model" and if you do a side by side comparison (not that you even need to) it changes the look of the entire gun that sounds like a skin to me where as an attachment implies it changes 1-2 parts of a weapon. Not sure why you'd even want to get hung up on those specifics it doesn't change my mind that it looks eh.
LOL white isnt a color, its a shade... bwahahahshs..... havent played anything but the first halo game, and passed it of as pretty decent but... its just another fps shooter hung on a die'ing storyline :-(

1:40 I love this new design, not perfect, but they are getting there almost, I like this better then the main halo infinite assault rifle
but i agree that the top is too inflated
Just copy paste mcc progression into infinite just add ultimate season rewards
hopefully they add mod support before they stop working on Infinite, that way community members can add in content through mods.
