There are actually two Bluegrass Festivals a year, one in March and the other in November. In April we have Folk Fest and Junk Fest, in May the Iris Festival, August is Mountains, Music and Motorcycles, September is Off The Beaten Path Studios where you can tour individual artist and crafters workshops to see them doing their crafts. In October there is the Bean Fest and Outhouse Races along with another Junk Fest. In November is Mountains and Mistletoe and December, Christmas On The Square. On the street behind the courthouse is the Pickin' Park where people from everywhere come to play or listen to music being played. Mountain View is known as the 'Folk Music Capital of the World', but there's lots of bluegrass, country, gospel and other types of music played here. Music is the main thing people know about Mountain View. There very well may have been folks picking at the park when you made your tour if the weather was nice.
Thanks for all the information! Unfortunately, when we were there, there was no music off of the Square. In addition, the festival had just ended. But, we will be back again!! Thanks for watching, and I hope you Subscribe.
We live in Oklahoma and always go to Mountain View when we want some vacation time. We stay at Sylamore Creek Camp up by Allison and visit Blanchard Springs.
@@AnyWayYouTravelI am from a very poor country in Latin America called "Nicaragua", my goal is to be able to visit the southern United States next year.
@@theantichrome9842 Should have been “Forest”. Of the almost 16,000 views I’ve had on this video, you’re the first person to catch that mistake. Thanks! 😊 At the time I made that video, re-editing the audio was a rather difficult thing to do.

I put the link for the video at the very end of my original post. Some people missed it. Sorry about that.
