Proud of yourself for that, are ya - lol? I teach young children how to play this and it seems the key of G is a wee bit easier. And I teach scales and chords in key of G before moving on to D and D…up the circle of 5ths. So, G is perfect for my young kiddos. Other artists have recorded it in G, anyhow.
@@GregoryGuay - Um,,, what is with the personal attitude? You know it is originally in A; right? I get it G is easier… and easier to sing too. Lots of people do it that way… Glad to hear you are teaching youngsters how to play. It is a gift to be able to teach music. So many people mess up young minds with bad instruction… Really: I apologize for offending you: somehow.
@@michaelgarrow3239 Hi, I was under the impression you were suggesting a correction. I figured it would be reasonable for me to explain why I do it in G. I am not sure why you would assume that I am offended because I explained my approach to teaching. I figured you just have some music theory or guitar skills and took the time to open up a conversation about it. I have a pedagogy channel for beginners @LowCoSuzukiGuitar if you have an interest in more basic tutorials- but sometimes I change the key to make it easier for beginners. I typically try to add in the description that I changed the key so as not to confuse anyone. Best wishes.
Capo 2 frets: sing in A, play in G
Go up a KEy: A-E-F#m-D
A-E-D-D
Your welcome… 😎
