    My room mates are like toddlers because they always wake me up around 5am to 6am every freaking morning. I don't have children and I don't have to go to work until 12pm . So their are no reason why I have to wake up so early in the mornings.

    I needed this! We have a hatch light so going to try the color system? Do you have a video that talks about toddlers waking from their bed and crawling into their parent’s bed? I’ll wake up to my toddler in my bed not knowing how or when he climbed up 😅

    I’ve watched this video probably 6 times over the last year 😭😂 My 3 year old has been waking up at 5-5:30 since she moved into a toddler bed a year ago. We have the OK to wake clock, use the colors, etc. I just decided to drop her nap even though she’s exhausted by 11am every day. We’re on day 2 of it. Hoping she starts sleeping until at least 6 with this change 😰

      Hey Breanna! I do recommend that you drop that nap by age 3, so hopefully that helps! Preschool sleep can be a puzzle, so if you feel like you need a plan to get your little one to sleep in, I recommend my Preschool E-Coaching: littlezsleep.com/preschool

    I have a friend that has three kids under 6 years. she told me she has only had 2-4hrs of sleep a night the last 5 years. I’ve also been a nanny for 10 years and have met my fair share of parents who get 4hrs or less of sleep a night.
    So I looked up baby sleeping routines, because my husband and I are going to try for a baby the next year. I just needed some semblance of peace knowing I won’t be sleep deprived for years to come 😂 Thank you for the peace of mind. When my kids struggle with sleep in the future, I know where to come back to!!! And that it CAN be helped. Thank you for what you do💗

    Our 4 year old toddler wakes up every day at 5:00am or even earlier! 😩 This has been happening for the past 2 years and we are desperate. He doesn’t take naps, he eats well, and goes to sleep at 7 - 8pm consistently. We have tried everything and are just exhausted. We both work at home so we are overwhelmed right now with sleep deprivation. Help!

      Hey Derek! If your little one has been waking up super early for over a year, and you are looking to make a change I would highly recommend one of my E-Coaching programs to help your little one become confident in her ability to sleep on her own. littlezsleep.com/

    My son won't stay up past 6pm he's 26 months. Going to bed so early causes early wakings. 4-5am.
    How do I correct this. Ive tried pushing his bed time back many times. He just keeps asking for bed.

    • @littlezsleep
      @littlezsleep  2 роки тому +1

      Hey Emily! The early bedtime/early morning cycle is such a hard rut to get out of. The first thing I would look at is how is your child falling asleep. Is he able to fall asleep completely on his own? Or is he looking for someone or something to help him fall asleep? If something else is helping him fall asleep, I would recommend my Toddler E-Coaching where you can teach him how to fall asleep independently and then he won't be looking for that help in the early morning hours. littlezsleep.com/toddler

    My 18 month old wakes up at 430 am every morning. He’s been doing this since he was a baby. Any suggestions? He goes to sleep at 6pm and naps 2 hrs during the day.

    But what do I do when after implementing these suggestions and during the process my toddler wakes up at 4.30? Should I give her a nap and for how long? When would bedtime be in this case as we are working through early waking? When she gets 12 hours of sleep she doesn’t nap and she goes to bed at 6pm.

    Before I had kids. I swore they would not wake up early. My wife and I would visit friends who had kids. They would wake us up at 5am. It’s not hard to train your toddlers to sleep in. When my kids were 2-5. They would stay up till 11pm- 1am on. They would wake up 10-11am. We did not let our kids take naps. Only if they passed out in the car or between things. We would rather suffer during the day with a breakdown then let our kids nap and stop our lives for it. My. The only downside of sleeping in was by the time we left the house at 11-12. Most toddlers were coming home for a nap. My kids are 7 now. They go to bed 930pm and wake up at 7am. You do not have to have your kids wake up early. Only of your work schedule dictates it. When you let your kids nap you have to stop everything and your kids get used to it. They are not flexible. My wife and I would go to birthday parties and we refused to leave because of a nap. We would leave early if things got really bad.

      Hey Mike, I like your comment.. although my toddler would not last all day and late night like that even if he woke up at 7am.. 🤦🏼‍♀️ also what about school..

      So your solution to the 5 am wake up was to keep your toddlers up till 11pm-1am? I rather have my kids down at 7 pm and have them awaken at 6 am. Better for us parents, we get a full night for ourselves, and for them. Sleep quality decrease after 9pm and studies proof that kids who sleep late might occur into a series of issues compared to early sleepers (regardless the total number of hours they sleep) such us hyperactivity, minor QI, slower growth etc. Our sleeping cycles are hormone regulated and specific hormones are released at specific times during the sunlight cycle of the day. That is why it is healthier to go to sleep and wake up in specific times.
