pure quality. the popular version of this song is perfect too but this version has a specific mood in my opinion. we are lucky for able to listening this phenomenal band. thanks God.
I love this composition you have made, it's very similar as it is sinister and almost medieval like just as the original masterpiece but at the same time it's very distinct. I love this, it's really somber and dark, and I am enchanted with the second part of the song (from 2:24 onwards). Haunting, I feel like I could hear this playing on a giant cathedral or rather a castle. Awesome job, really great.
It remains a very dark and solitary passion, most people just aren't that way inclined. As to your correspondence with Hook et al, you'll kindly keep me abreast of future developments. I am so thankful they're performing Movement this year.
As always, Chris, I so much appreciate your input. We are very much of one mind when it comes to the inimitable ARP Omni and Joy Division sound. One day I hope to do a full version very much in the spirit of this one. I only wish we had the means to collaborate on such a project. All the best, Behrang
been listening to this again ,, its innocently beautiful , i could cry to it just like i can Joy Divisions version ,, thats how good this realy is ,, realy sounds like you have the Marshall Time Modulator at times ,, i know you dont have one but , somehow uve done it
Don't know how you do it ? But you turn a haunting , sad, sombre classic into a more haunting sombre tune , said it before , but you should of worked with Hannet !!! One day some band in the USA is gonna hear your production and ask you to produce them , like Hannet you will turn up with a bag of effects and most of all your brain ,, please keep this up , I find your work intriguing ,, I just copy jd in my vids ,, you take them to another zone ,, I'm truely very impressed with your work
Just wish so much we could work together , just made our lass listen to this and she agrees , you have something very different about your work , we agreed we can also hear a lot of David Lynch influence in there too , especially Eraserhead , my all time favourite film
me too mate , nobody seems interested in what i do here in England ,, saying that , at least Peter Hook and his keyboardist have contacted me as you know , still in the pipeline that subject mate
Hi Chris. This 3rd take on "Decades" remains my favorite of the four I recorded in 2012/13. If I'd had my way, I would've been up the 5th, 6th, 7th... nth version. It means the world to me that you think enough of these recordings to return to them. I still routinely scan this site for new uploads with the keywords "Joy Division" + "Decades". The song's been a constant in my life for nearly ten years; a strange perpetual mourning that eschews all consolation.
Behrang Tahamtani aww bless you mate , friend , to be honest its a testament that I still after these years past keep returning to watch your videos , im still amazed at your recording techniques etc , like I said before your like Hannett , you have a special way , feel like your a brother I didnt know I had , and I mean that , wish so much you visit me in England ,
Your sentiments, Chris, are fully reciprocated, and I am honored to count you as a dear friend. It would be fantastic to meet you, and I long to visit England. We could do a live ARP Omni collaboration and cover all of Closer's B-side. Then a David Lynch marathon? As a youth I collected most of his films on DVD, and "On the Air", "Hotel Room", and "Industrial Symphony No. 1" on VHS (though some of these tapes may in fact be deteriorated from overuse). Someday!
Behrang Tahamtani weve only just watched the new Twin Peaks series , and was absolutely blown away , I was worried at first it wouldnt be as good as first time round ,,,,,,, I was dissapointed , it was seriously the greatest of his work with Eraserhead , I absolutely got hooked all over again ,, wow the Atomic explotion bit , the Woodsmen , I honestly didnt know if to laugh or cry at times , hes that powerful to me , he acts out all my fears and visions on film
I had the same nagging doubts about the show's return, but by the end of S3E1 I was completely on board. Yeah, most Sunday nights we'd be very symptomatic; so much intensely macabre material to process (yet not without a lot of fantastic Lynchian humor). Would try to watch each episode at least twice, which we rarely do for contemporary television. BOB's atomic birth had our heads absolutely spinning and marked a new apex for the show. And the ending? It haunted and consumed me for weeks. I do miss the show something terrible (once again).

Thank you, Jim, though I know it's all pallid in comparison to your stockpile of fruit with suggestive quirks in curvature.
All the best,
Behrang
