- I got some comments from my viewers and from my local quilting friends that they have problems with quilting this pattern. I got inspired and decided to provide you with a bonus material. I hope it will help you learning this pattern. Good luck and let me know if it worked!
Brilliant! That makes so much sense! Thank you very much!
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼thank you!!! Very clover!!!
thank you!
I'll have to try this. Finally, a technique that makes sense to my brain! Thank you so much.
Sometimes a small change in perspective helps. I always tried to quilt them while crossing in the middle.... it never worked. The the division in three and tear shape did the trick...
I happy I could help and thank you for your comment!
First time anyone has explained this design so I can actually do them I have practiced so many time to do this ribbon candy design and they never looked right sat down after this video and the lightbulb clicked on! Thank you so very much! I enjoy your videos keep up showing us please.
You are very welcome. I was glad that many of you told me you have problem withi this design. That inspired me to think about it :)
I am 65 and have been sewing since I was 5. I have always had difficulty with ribbon candy until you described it to me as droplets. It’s like a light went on. I am forever indebted!
The unique Acha! moment. I had it too regarding to this pattern. And I am not the only one. Later I found another quilter that had the same understanding. I learned quilting from YT and books and this is why I never accelerate my videos. I was able to rewatch some sections over and over till I understood how other do it. I very happy I could help and very greatful for your comment!
Excellent analysis of the ribbon candy motif!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 😁 I am happy it worked
Excellent method. Thank you!

Definitely helps me to get this shape!
It was a special Ahaaaa moment for me as well. ❤❤❤
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!!!!!! I really needed this new mindset! I subscribed to your channel, thank you! 😊
That is so nice to hear! Thank you and welcome. I hope you will have many nice relaxing moments with my videos :)❤
After spending many frustrating hours doing it the usual way, thinking of the shape as “drops” totally changed everything!!! Successful on my first attempt. Thank you so much, you made this a win for me. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching all episodes ❤🎉😊
Wow, Thank you for your comment and subscribing:) I hope I can come up with more useful topics. This one was simple because so many my quilting friends told me they have problems with it!
Have just come across your channel - love it. Thank you for explaining this technique 😁
Welcome to my channel! Hope you will stay and keep quilting! ❤❤❤
Excellent! Yes!
thank you!
This is the first time I’ve heard of this explanation for making ribbon candy. Mine always turn out wonky. You make it sound so easy. I’m going to try your method.
Mine are also wonky sometimes. This is fine. It will get better with time. Howeverm someties looking at a shape from a different perspective helps to understand it. I hope I can help ❤❤❤
I think you have solved it for me as I have finally drawn a few consistent ribbon rows on paper just now. I was practicing from your previous video earlier this morning and was excited to see this new video come out. I did concentrate earlier on trying to get the beginning shape started because if I wasn’t getting that good, the rest of the row wasn’t good and also where the shape meets. Dividing it into sections as you show here fixed so much if my problems. This has helped me so much. I will try a few sewing rows tomorrow. Thank you for taking the time to make this video for us, it’s great!
Wonderful!!!! I am so happy to hear it. I just got photos from my quilty friend (she was one those complaining she cannot get it right) and now it was perfect. Funny, how sometimes a small change in how you look at things may help you understand something!
Thanks. I think I can do this now
Wonderful! Happy to hear that❤❤❤
Thank you, drops make sense!
For me it was also an "acha" moment
Wow, I never thought about it that way, thank you! I've had trouble with this shape and I think this may be the key for me and so many others. I'll try it this way, droplets, not S's. ~Cynthia
Hi there! I know that many quilters have problem with this shape as they have to change directions with the S-curves. Droplets are more consistent. Later I found a book where it was described the same way. Let me know if it worked!❤❤❤
Thank you
You are very welcome ❤
I have had SO much trouble with ribon candy, thank you! I really like to hear a voice on videos. What sewing mahine and teble do you use in these videos, please?
My machine is Janome M7, this is the very large one, but I had before one of Horizons from Janome and it was awsome too. They don't pay me for that. The Janome comes with the extension table included as well as all the quilting feet. I hope this video will help you!
