You're right - absolutely right! In my opinion "Iron Man" is one of the hardest to play and beat pinball machines from STERN ever. I recently had this machine for a few months - borrowed from a good friend of mine which received my AC/DC. I couldn't remember that i was such angry and frustrated trying hardly to get the "Big Points". Yes - you are right: 30 millions on Iron Man is a good game! Reaching 100 Million seems like......unreachable. This machine kept me coming back over and over again to get the High-Score which was on 126 million points. I never ever came near. And i am an advanced player. Playing since the late 1970ies. Greetings from germany.
Just a note for those who haven't played the game before: the newer software versions of Iron Man nerfed the Do or Die value from 50M to 35M. It's still valuable though, just not as ridiculously so.
I just realized, this board's layout is EXTREMELY similar to Medieval Madness. There's an equivalent shot in roughly the same positions everywhere on Iron Man: IRON is Catapult, Monger loops are Joust loops, War Machine is Peasants, Bogey is castle side door, center spinner is castle, Whiplash is Wizard, right ramp is Princess, and MAN is the drop targets that activate Merlin's magic. Monger himself and drone targets are like Trolls and troll activation targets respectively. Even the bumper/upper rollover configuration, the switching lane rollovers, and ramp feedbacks are similar. Completely different board rules of course, but even then there's a similar game flow too. Shoot specific target several times, reap rewards, get all once or multiple times for more profit and/or wizard mode.
Other games by stern are even more similar! Check out metallica, sopranos, guardians of the galaxy. Honestly anything with the two loops and two opposite returning ramps can be compared in the same fashion you have!
So if you complete let’s say whiplash in one ball, it doesn’t carry over to the next ball? So the main goal Is to do it all in one turn, because you get a chance at the 50 mil bonus. But if you complete all of them throughout the whole game, you still get the Jericho mode? I’m just trying to make sure that there’s progression throughout all the turns because that’s very important to me.
I've taken to calling Iron Monger "Cletus McYeetus", because more often than not, if you let that magnet catch your ball, it's getting yeeted straight down the middle. Definitely not a game I'd recommend to newcomers, unless you're trying to turn them off of pinball altogether.

I'm amazed how the 3 balls got stuck on the magnet and all stayed magnetized together until they hit the flipper. Physics is fun.

Depends on settings. The owner decides if progress carries over.
