Hey Scott, Thank you for introducing me to Sweet Megg and a bunch of other really great artists. It's a travesty that fabulous musicians like this just get overlooked and the pop music industry promotes auto tune, drum machine, garbage.
I love it~!~!~ Reminds me of Maria Muldaur~!!~
Supper❤
Emmylou Harris does an outstanding version of this song
Megg is absolutely gorgeous!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍!!!!
Yep, yep! Loving this sweet and easy swing time! 👏 Good job, kids! 😉 2 more bottles is always the perfect amount! 🍷 👍💖🎶
Heck Yeah!
Scott bradley is turning like Wilson Fisk, I can’t stop watching this white paint.
That's a tenor guitar, but tuned like the top 4 strings on a guitar. I've been playing since 1965 and have never seen a tenor guitar in person. Edit: Another great groove by Scott. Love it!
Megg was born for the country
This was originally by the legendary Texas Blues artist Delbert McClinton - and you can never go wrong with his stuff. So many country artists have covered Delbert songs and taken them mainstream (Emmylou Harris, Martina McBride, Garth Brooks, Tanya Tucker have all done Delbert Covers as singles).
Too bad Delbert is hanging it up. Even his recent stuff with The Self Made Men was excellent. What a phenomenal career!
@@blairnelson2953 Too bad. Always wanted to see him in concert.
@@adambrickley9088 , well Delbert turns 81 today, he served us all well with his 60+ year career. And a new record is in the works, I read.
Delbert claimed in an interview that he never made a penny on that tune because of some small-time con man who beat him out of the publishing rights.
Just one of many lessons learned by the 81 year old as of today 11/4/21.
Kind of sucks to see how many evil bastards exist in show biz and everywhere else!
Happy birthday Delbert! You’re still the man!
@@adambrickley9088 up until COVID hit I was seeing him every year for the last 10 years at Knucklehead’s in Kansas City!
Great showman! Nothing fancy just good old fashioned kicking ass and taking names!
Beautiful, Scott, your piano accompaniment is simply magic. 🎆
Wait this is new? Holy heck.... usually I wach years old classics :) Sweet Meg is one of my favorites.
Excellent version, perfect for Sweet Megg! The guitar was a little lost in the mix I thought, hope you can punch it up a scooch when/if this goes on streaming services.
glad I'm not the only one who noticed that
Love the outfit! I need these trousers! Well, and the voice too…
That was so sweet! Thanks Scott and Sweet Meg. I didn’t hear the guitar playing but it was a great prop.
Very nice!!! Love it!
Love the song for the reality moments. From outta nowhere came the truth.
Yay, a Delbert McClinton song.
Here we go baby!!
Eeeeee Sweet Meg is back!!
She is perfect
Real glad to see you again Megg.
Me likes, sounds like an old timey song you would hear on a movie in TMC.
Love it!
Yeahhh...! So, so good 💫
I love it ❣️
bravo!
Nice to hear❣️😍
Rewelacja!!!

Lyrics:
We came out west together with a common desire
The fever we had might've set the West Coast on fire
Two months later got trouble in mind
Oh my baby moved out and left me behind
But it's all right 'cause it's midnight
And I got two more bottles of wine
The way he left sure turned my head around
Seemed like overnight she just up and put me down
Ain't gonna let it bother me today
I been workin' and I'm too tired anyway
But it's all right 'cause it's midnight
And I got two more bottles of wine
I'm sixteen hundred miles from the people I know
I've been doin' all I can but opportunity sure come slow
Well I'd be in the sun all day
But I'm sweepin' out a warehouse in west L.A.
But it's all right 'cause it's midnight
And I got two more bottles of wine👍 💓
I'm sixteen hundred miles from the people I know
I've been doin' all I can but opportunity sure come slow
Well I'd be in the sun all-day
But I'm sweepin' out a warehouse in west L.A.
But it's all right 'cause it's midnight
And I got two more bottles of wine
Yes, it's all right 'cause it's midnight
And I got two more bottles of wine
Yes, it's all right 'cause it's midnight
And I got two more bottles of wine
That's a weird guitar. What does it do exactly?
It makes notes when you pluck the strings. 🤷♂️
Love it, but it's not an Emmylou Harris cover. It's a Delbert McClinton cover, or am i crazy.
Was that like a bass ukulele she was holding?
Tenor guitar
@@elund408 With just 4 strings?
@@machtschnell7452 yep. tuned like a viola or tenor banjo. C - G - D - A. classic rhythm sound.
@@machtschnell7452 That and the strumming on the neck and the pickups in the sound hole is what got me thinking uke.
Brigid Dwyer; It looks like a Gibson tenor guitar, and from here, I would say she is playing it in ukulele tuning. But the instrument itself is definitely a tenor, not a uke.
That's a weird-ass instrument Megg is playing. The heck is that?! A bass neck put on an acoustic guitar stringed with guitar strings?!
Just a guitar with a skinny neck. It's for people with smallish hands.
Edit: it does look goofy as heck though.
Sorry, I lied. It's a tenor guitar, tuned like a cello. It's only got 4 strings.
@@caleblarsen5490 That may be true, but it's not originally that. Look at the bridge. It's clearly the bridge of an acoustic 6-stringed guitar.
And that pickup... that's from (or for) an electric guitar.
This is a Frankenstein of an instrument if I've ever seen one.
It’s a Gibson tenor guitar.
@@SweetMegg And now that the name of the thing has been spoken, I found it. It's much less of a Frankenstein than I thought: the only modification seems to be the pickup. Wow.
Still, I don't understand why the bridge has 6 string anchor points instead of 4. Or am I misunderstanding the function of those white thingys?
Piano drowns her out. Too bad.
Please don't do this again.
Great smile, wonderful voiew, but I always want to hand a tissue to anyone who has something dangling from their nostril.
