***** Indeed! I just saw this movie, yesterday, for the first time! OMG...I loved it! Great movie!!! Such a sad ending :( I hate endings like that. Who killed Jack?
+Larraine Santos Well actually that's the official explanation is. But in the movie you see Ennis thinking het was a victim of gaybashing, which seems more likely.
I don't cry from movies. Very seldomly. But this was a rare exception. I was biting my lip the whole time and couldn't hold back anymore especially the "I wish I knew how to quit you" scene. :(
kagomefan101 I just watched the movie for the first time and this scene that you mentioned was beyond heartwretching I think it was a moment when i realized this is beyond sad their love for each and how complicated it was but more so for Eunnis Very powerful .But the ending killed me also realizing that Heath Ledger is really gone
Naawww, the brokeback mountain is what in fact, got them together and was the only place in the world they could fearlessly be themselves and love each other! The heartbreak happened because of the world OUTSIDE of the Brokeback Mountain, but within the Mountain they were just two souls wounded by the homophobic world around them seeking comfort and peace in each other's company. 😊
I remember when this movie came out. I was 13 and I couldn't understand why everyone was so upset and offended by it. To me it just looked like a boring cowboy movie with heartfelt moments. Now as an adult I can see why. Movies about gay couples was a very risky and very bold thing to do back in 2005, you could easily offend anyone whether they were religious or not. Nowadays, it is becoming more common to see films like this on the big screen and no one blinks an eye. There are still people out there who complain about gay couples being in movies, but sooner or later they will need to come to an understanding that they don't need to watch it if they don't want to.
The words you wrote imply that it was the movie staff's fault. Homosexual people and films don't offend homophobic people, it's homophobic people's prejudices that makes them feel unconfortable and offended. Moreover, it's actually homophobic people who offend and hurt homosexual people around the world (in some countries, even kill).
There was a gay movie made for theaters back in 82, I was 18...it's called "Making Love". My lover and I went to see it here in Canada, some people walked out of the theater when the lead actors started kissing but more stayed. It also had well known actors from back then.. Here, I found the trailer.. ua-cam.com/video/WaowR67NICg/v-deo.html
I am not gay but I felt the true love between two characters. I never thought I could cry over something I can't possibly relate to but I cried. Worth watching.
Sakura Stone There's a boy in my English class, goes on tons of dates with girls, always talking about sex, always has to seem masculine in front of everyone, I am 99.99% he is gay because of the way he looks at me and you just know.
No, 'many' is still subjective - and 1 in a million can easily be 'many' because you're not applying it to any other standard. So yeah, many homophobic people do have repressed feelings. Those studies can be very inaccurate too. Plus, it's not like homophobic people are going to jump at that opportunity. I'll let you know one day if I'm wrong though (btw I'm not trying to be cocky, I actually could be wrong ... although it would be more fun if I wasn't).
I never said they loved them, I said they *were* homosexuals. If you bothered to read the rest of the thread, you can see I changed my opinion anyway so I don't know why you tagged me on some old shit. Also, dream on kid, because it will never happen. Haha
To be fucking honest, I do not like what they did to Ennis' character. They fucking destroyed him so much. He got divorced, forced to go to work even if he didn't want to because he has to support his children, he got the new girl to dump him because he had a really low self-esteem thus making him tell the girl he wasn't that much "fun" anyway, Jack died so he grew old, alone, and miserable. And he didn't even have much closure to with Jack. He is the epitome of "fuck my life".
+Ak Renomeron Then go see "Monster (2003)" Charlize Theron's character which is based on true story is the epitome of what you said "epitome of "fuck my life.""
I really can't with this movie. If you're ever in a "I need to get emotional at the remorse of a great movie tonight and stay in bed the entire next day and sob about it all over again" type of mood, please watch this movie. It changed my life, not in the I'm a changed man now but in the I look at the reasons they made this film out to be so fucking big when I was younger and it all makes sense to me now, and in the I see how forbidden love between to masculine men is so dreadfully BEAUTIFUL and tragic unbecoming. This is the most groundbreaking performance I've ever seen in my life. Far beyond deserving of any oscars or any of that sort. This movie hurts so good it's bad and so bad it's good at the same time.
I am not gay. I am a man's man. I have tattoos ride a Harley and fight in bars. one thing I can tell you is the movie is the best damn movie I have ever seen. Don't let homophobia ruin you from missing such a wonderful movie. I still watch it and tear up. say what you will but I'll cherish this movie forever.
From what you wrote, you are a TRUE man's man! I am married to one. Would have it no other way. A real man is strong enough to FEEL! Ride a Harley and fight in bars! Too cute!
Waw - I have tattoos and ride Harley too, I drink beer and Whiskey like water and swear like a pirate - how tough it makes me ? Funny what ppl with homophobia are actually hiding behind to say they don't have it ....Americans....
Contains BIG spoilers!!! Just saw this movie. After an hour I always repeated in my mind: "Let this have a good end! Please! I won't endure it if they don't come together!" And after I've seen that Jack died, I hoped that has only been a joke and that he'll come back so they can spend a happy life together but that didn't happen! Damn it, this is the first film were I cried by and after watching it, and I cried rivers! :'(
I remember I watched this movie just a day after the premier and I cried at the end when Ennis held Jack's cloth... Now, I re-watched the trailer and my tears were already at the edge... booohoooooo Why did Jack have to die????
" I told you what, sometimes I miss you so much until I hardly stand it. " so love this quote, have u guys noticed that in this movie these two actors didn't say to each other like I love you at all, the biggest word is I miss u, that's why I noted it down also it's also meaningful too, isn't it?
I haven't watched this movie yet , I still have the DVD . people said its really sad . so I never really watched it . maybe one day , when i get a Boyfriend I''ll watch it with him .
It's been half an hour since I ended watching the movie and I still can't stop tearing. The acting was wonderful, I don't think that there would be any movie like this one to make me cry that much, ever.
I used to think nothing would hurt more but to die; but now I believe it hurts more if to die but without LOVE. This movie is just like a fine wine, the longer you taste, the deeper it goes into your heart, your soul and your dream. it's nothing about right or wrong, it's about a force of nature, and it has nothing to do with gender. Wait for me under the blue sky of Brokeback mountain my love, where birds singing and whiskey running in the river. And we shall be with each other, only each other as long as the sun still rise and its first light dance in your eyes.
I watched this film yesterday at 2 AM and the performance by Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal just caught me. I cried so much, I can't describe how much I loved this film...A highly underrated gem ❤️
This is the best movie I've ever seen in my life. It changed me forever. God bless the director and the whole crew. This movie is a true masterpiece. Rest in peace, Heath!
As a guy I tought I wouldn't like this movie because as a straight man being gay is really weird for me to understand but this was a great movie, loved every second of it.
A hauntingly beautiful film about lifelong yearning. Decades of longing........ of travelling but never quite arriving. It's one of the saddest films I've ever seen, I'm not gay but I don't need to be to appreciate and respect the love that gay people share in their relationships. Their love is no less profound than the love I have for my girlfriend or our child. I hope this film helps homophobic people to see that love comes In many forms, all equally beautiful.

It's sad how when he dies, you're telling yourself it's only a movie, but it makes the tears come even faster cause in the real world... Heath Ledger... so u just can't stop crying
Totally Badass Did you ever see Mambo Italiano. That was a Comedy but the Two Main Characters did have Sex in a Tent. Also, alot of people love to have Sex in The Woods in Summer, they feel as though they can release their inhibitions.
So did I ! Literally JUST finished watching the movie for the FIRST time and I cried so hard!! I swear I cried from when Lureen was explaining how he died straight up to when Ennis said "Jack, I swear,"
This movie is still haunting me like crazy even after all this time, can't deny that beautiful love finely presented throughout the whole story. And the ending hurts sooooo bad I am traumatized in some way somehow... Funny how genuine the love feels and way better than any other one ever seen on screen. Im totally straight n married for 5 years now but love portrayed in the movie has inspired me so much. Love you Ledger n Gillenhaal
I casually found this movie on TV yesterday and I totally forgot how it affected me the first time I watched it and it still does after all these years. I thought I couldn't relate to it at all but actually we all can regardless of our genders. It's a very depressing movie and the final scene more than ever. It makes you think of those typical words that come out of our minds when we have regrets. "if only....but it's too late". I just can't stop thinking about it, it's gonna be a depressing day.
*Moral of the story.*They tried to fit in and pretend to be str8 denying their nature. Which makes suddenly 4 unhappy people. Were the 21st century and people are still so backwards,, this story goes on and on, over and over...for what reason? None! Just be the real you and deny bigot assholes. *Love= ♥♥♥*
The movie is about Love...2 men only wanting to Love each other. l'm a 48 a man, Love my partner as much as the day we first meet 14 years ago. As for some of you bigots and just maybe you will understand this... l Love my male partner more that l Lust after him. Sex is fun but Love is the Greatest gift life can give. Everyone deserve to feel love.
I really think this is a good movie to understands LGBTQ people; the conflicts and the frustration of being gay. Love how the haters on here expect respect for their institutionalize beliefs, yet don't give it. Hypocrites.
best movie ever. amazing acting by jake and heath. love this movie. i've watched it many times. best soundtrack! heath ledger, lovely actor and man, may you rest in peace.
Not really a movie I would consider watching let alone actually like, but as usual Heath was just absolutely incredible. You can see he poured his heart and soul to each character he portrayed. He truly was one of the most beautiful, talented people and it's a shame we lost him so soon. R.I.P Heath ♡
Fuck. One of the very few films to actually make me cry. Gives you that feeling that you're missing something from your own life. I love love. Heath being gone probably made it worse, damn it.
Russell Russian I love it. The first one was really funny but the 2nd is probably the best. I love the part where she is driving in the car and singing to the radio and the radio goes "SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP! GOD! I'm the one singing so just shut the fuck up and let me sing!"
+Ca Ka disagree, many Republicans are finally realising, there are gay men and women everywhere. Hearing 50+ % of Christians in the US no longer have issues with gay people. We all know for a fact, there are many Democrats that have a lot of hate for gay people too.
i just watched the movie (08-09-21) after its realeased 16years ago. and daammmmmmnnnnn it is so depressing at the end. just had a heavy heart. Jake and the late Heath did an awesome job giving their hearts out on this one.
Even the trailer makes me tear up. I can't believe the movie came out over a decade ago. It's one of the most heartfelt and heartbreaking love stories ever told. I'll also be forever bitter that it didn't win best picture at the Oscars.
I finally brought myself to watch it last evening. Twice... I could not NOT watch it again... And this evening I watched it again... I can't describe what this movie did to me, it shook me so hard... Yesterday I felt la crying, but for some reason I just couldn't. Tonight I've been crying like a baby. Stupid, I know...
I burst into tears on the part where ennis saw the two Polo's with their own blood. 😭😭😭I can't get over with this. I just watched it last night. Worth watching for. Rest in peace Heath Ledger. You're in our hearts. 😭😭😭😭
One of the most beautiful movies ever ♥ To all the homophobes tho, why would you even search for a video like this if you don't like gays ? Get out of the closet already.
Rachel Murray Like really same. I am not in a really good place in my life and I just watched Shelter which has a happy ending, it made me feel happy, like maybe I do have a place in this world. But then I watch any other gay romance movie and shit always gets fucked up and then I can't sleep for another 8 weeks. So I think I am not going to watch this movie. Maybe later when I have a boyfriend... Like thats going to happen.
I'm a straight 16 year old guy and I watched this the other day. They don't really seem gay in a weird way I don't know how to describe it but I understand what it would be like for them. Gay bi or straight it doesn't matter were all human in the long run
Brokeback Mountain was directed by Ang Lee. The director said he was angry. Actually, he never said he was angry, that was just the director saying his own name.
"I wish I knew how to quit you" gets me everytime...
***** Indeed! I just saw this movie, yesterday, for the first time! OMG...I loved it! Great movie!!! Such a sad ending :( I hate endings like that.
Who killed Jack?
+Miss Enna tire exploded at his face . when someone saw him he was already dead
+Larraine Santos Well actually that's the official explanation is. But in the movie you see Ennis thinking het was a victim of gaybashing, which seems more likely.
+fzef dazd Exactly. And that is strongly suggested in the original short story too!
Short storry? I didn't knew that, do you have a link to the story or just the name? :)
fuck i wanna watch but i don't know how many tissue boxes i'm gonna need
+ShewolfAlpha As many as you can buy without people looking at you weird.
Only a few,it's not that kinky...
p sure she means for tears, not jacking off.... the differences between a man and a woman.
Dani Allred exactly.. thanks dani
ShewolfAlpha I got you boo :*
This trailer is so special to me. It was the first representation of gay love in a mainstream film with mainstream actors that I had ever came across
This movie is epic. I can't watch it without feeling like my heart is being ripped to pieces.
the phandom is literally everywhere omfg
Hahaha ikr!
I can't watch it without feeling like my ass is being ripped apart. 😂😂😂
@@Whoa802 hopefully in a good way

The title of the movie should be Heartbreak Mountain.
IncorporatedOps ... break my fucking heart

The heartbreak happened because of the world OUTSIDE of the Brokeback Mountain, but within the Mountain they were just two souls wounded by the homophobic world around them seeking comfort and peace in each other's company. 😊
You mean humpback mountain?
I think Jack's back was also broken in the end.
the title of the movie should be The heartbreak kid
I remember when this movie came out. I was 13 and I couldn't understand why everyone was so upset and offended by it. To me it just looked like a boring cowboy movie with heartfelt moments. you don't have to be gay to understand love between two men
I feel the same way when I watch certain "straight" movies.

part of me dies everytime i watch the ending with the two shirts. so beautiful and heartbreakingly sad
It's actually true. Many homophobic people have repressed homosexual feelings. That's why they're homophobic - at least, partially.
Sakura Stone There's a boy in my English class, goes on tons of dates with girls, always talking about sex, always has to seem masculine in front of everyone, I am 99.99% he is gay because of the way he looks at me and you just know.
Oh I didn't mean 'all' or 'most' of them, that's why I said 'many'.
It's not a myth in regards to many.

That's the reason why you should never read comments among a movie trailer when you haven't already seen the film. ;D
Thanks for your compliment, Jesper! xD

Also he’s amazing in ‘Candy’ I love that movie so much!

TrippleH655321 - How many times have you watched it?
It's funny how the it's mainly men in the comments who seem angrily uncomfortable with this movie's theme. Huh, maybe Freud was right.
Gotta love the Christians too, hate on them gay guys and go jack off to lesbian porn afterwards. Hypocrisy at it's finest.
***** Me too!
***** some Christian
jmsolano0516 So if you love your friend is a sin cause is a men loving a men??? Confusing bible...Wasnt what jesus say to do? Love your friends? lol
Why, what did Freud say?
This had to be the greatest movie I have ever seen. Loved it so much i went to the theatre several times to see it again and again back in 2005,
Why do so many of the comments start with "I'm not gay but..." like ok bitch we get it
When he finds the jacket omg I cried so hard
because you are gay :)
nidaime yep that is the only reason I can possible find this film emotional, I must be gay, what a breakthrough
pls don't gay
So did I ! Literally JUST finished watching the movie for the FIRST time and I cried so hard!! I swear I cried from when Lureen was explaining how he died straight up to when Ennis said "Jack, I swear,"
When i realise the two jackets hang tgt, its like the guy was doing it as a sign that he will always be hugging him. Sad.

I'm still not over this movie i think about it all the time I've watched it once i wanna watch it again but i'm going to break down crying
why heath ledger didn't won an Oscar for this performance he was marvelous
Brenda Luna because it was gay
win
yeah i especially like the part where jake gylenhal and heath ledger start doing each other in a frikian tent
Nice...
BrokeBack Mountain 2: Never Forget The Lube
3: Douch first
your ingenuity shocked me
Just watched this again and yea oh god it's a great film. Very sad at the end...
Everytime I watch this film I cry like a baby, it's amazing
I casually found this movie on TV yesterday and I totally forgot how it affected me the first time I watched it and it still does after all these years. I thought I couldn't relate to it at all but actually we all can regardless of our genders. It's a very depressing movie and the final scene more than ever. It makes you think of those typical words that come out of our minds when we have regrets. "if only....but it's too late". I just can't stop thinking about it, it's gonna be a depressing day.
After 12 years this film still hits me like a shot in the heart. A sheer classic.
still crying......Amazing movie.
Smh
This is a sin
*Moral of the story.*They tried to fit in and pretend to be str8 denying their nature. Which makes suddenly 4 unhappy people. Were the 21st century and people are still so backwards,, this story goes on and on, over and over...for what reason? None!
Just be the real you and deny bigot assholes. *Love= ♥♥♥*
Love cums in all shapes and sizes.
John007BE This takes place in the 60s...
John007BE in the 60s to 80s gays can't be as open as they are now
John007BE They can't come out in places like the Middle East where they'll probably kill you
You don't deserve to walk this earth if you have hate in your heart. Reject hate and love more.
one of the best and saddest love stories I've ever seen on film
I have so much love for the actors, producers, directors and everyone who had helped to create this beautiful film. Thank you so much.
Watched it a couple of times... very emotional. Even the trailer makes me emotional!
+Milo Beautifully said, my friend.
this comment is so beautiful omg congrats you two. Love is bulletproof!
Every single time I watch this movie, I cry. They work so great together! Favorite movie.
This movie just needed to be made. Gives you a whole different view on homosexuality. So beautiful, cried my eyes out.
This is one of my all time favorite movies. It's a great love story based around friendship and fear. It always makes me cry.
How BEAUTIFUL... This movie is just too beautiful. Let me cry..
Heath Ledger, I Miss U..
Not really a movie I would consider watching let alone actually like, but as usual Heath was just absolutely incredible. You can see he poured his heart and soul to each character he portrayed. He truly was one of the most beautiful, talented people and it's a shame we lost him so soon. R.I.P Heath ♡
"you dont go up there to fish." XD wow really!
Fuck. One of the very few films to actually make me cry. Gives you that feeling that you're missing something from your own life. I love love.
Heath being gone probably made it worse, damn it.
First time watching this movie. I can not believe it made me cry so much :/
Is this where the whole Scary Movie 3 scene comes from, with the two black guys in the tent reaching for "Peanuts".
+David Evans Mind blown XD Maybe!! But they didn't wear the hats XD
Russell Russian XD
David Evans
That's the best American comedy I've ever seen !! (That mixed movies up in a movie of course)
Russell Russian I love it. The first one was really funny but the 2nd is probably the best. I love the part where she is driving in the car and singing to the radio and the radio goes "SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP! GOD! I'm the one singing so just shut the fuck up and let me sing!"
This movie is 80% about a beautiful love, 20% is the shade towards the Republicans lol
+Ca Ka disagree, many Republicans are finally realising, there are gay men and women everywhere. Hearing 50+ % of Christians in the US no longer have issues with gay people. We all know for a fact, there are many Democrats that have a lot of hate for gay people too.
Ca ka
na
MiloPickles chill, it was just a joke XD
Democrats are all gay aka me
i just watched the movie (08-09-21) after its realeased 16years ago. and daammmmmmnnnnn it is so depressing at the end. just had a heavy heart. Jake and the late Heath did an awesome job giving their hearts out on this one.
Even the trailer makes me tear up. I can't believe the movie came out over a decade ago. It's one of the most heartfelt and heartbreaking love stories ever told. I'll also be forever bitter that it didn't win best picture at the Oscars.
so this is how the Joker got his scars lol
I finally brought myself to watch it last evening. Twice... I could not NOT watch it again... And this evening I watched it again... I can't describe what this movie did to me, it shook me so hard... Yesterday I felt la crying, but for some reason I just couldn't. Tonight I've been crying like a baby. Stupid, I know...
edit: I felt LIKE (not 'la') crying...
Just give me a moment to cry my heart out.... I love this movie so much and it's the only one that made my cry but still one of my favourites
I burst into tears on the part where ennis saw the two Polo's with their own blood. 😭😭😭I can't get over with this. I just watched it last night. Worth watching for. Rest in peace Heath Ledger. You're in our hearts. 😭😭😭😭
One of the most beautiful movies ever ♥
To all the homophobes tho, why would you even search for a video like this if you don't like gays ? Get out of the closet already.
The lover died but their love remain
I watched this a couple of days ago and I still can't stop thinking about it
The music of this two-min.-trailer alone is ... divine!
I really wanna watch this movie but it looks like it has a sad ending and I don't know if I'm ready to cry over a movie again any time soon.
Gay bi or straight it doesn't matter were all human in the long run
cool beans
to be honest you do make sense
your'e welcome
less Arrogant*
It's just bromance to the extreme
most beautiful movie of all time..countless times watching this superb movie...its crying time again..its just so beautiful!
Here again after watching call me by your name :') those 2 movies are absolutely the best thing that ever happened to the history of cinema ❤
Brokeback Mountain was directed by Ang Lee. The director said he was angry. Actually, he never said he was angry, that was just the director saying his own name.
Chen caught Luhan watching this omg `.`
