Interesting fact, the pilot of the Blue Destiny continued serving after the One Year War and he was the the Jegan pilot that tried to save the Geara Doga trying to push Axis away.

Yeah, Yuu's pretty badass even without EXAM. Also, Marion(the female pilot whose soul is trapped inside the system) had a happier ending in the games than in the manga. Fun fact, the EXAM system is the prototype to all special power-up computer interfaces that we see in the later fiction, including the NT-D from Unicorn.

I love the Blue destiny, as for the most part it a living suit. It has a human soul which is what the exam mode really is. The fact its alive makes it stand out so much to other gundam suit. I hope one day it gets an OVA as the story for it is great.

The reason why this Blue Destiny unit has the EXAM tag at the end is because you can build the EXAM-activated version of the Blue Destiny. ALICE is always activated in the EX-S I believe, so there is no need to have it as a separate version.
The Blue Destiny Units are more heavily-armed than you think. Those oblong shapes on the upper part of the chest are autocannons, and the circle shapes on the lower half are the tips of the guided missiles. It has pretty much the same number of weapons as the GM Ground Type, but in this case some of its weapons are built-in.
Man....
Yuu is probably the best (if not the best, one of the best) Federation Pilot that were in the One Year War, and the Blue Destiny really shows how the man could handle warfare. (and is the most baddass "GM" out there)

I'm surprised they're making new HGs~ if there's really that much demand then maybe an MG isn't totally out of the question!

Much better than the other one that has been out. I like the extra head and more details. I see the same problem with this one that I had with the old one... it looks kinda flat from a distance. Sad because this is one of my favorites. Plus the blue looks off, its a lighter blue color I associate to cheap things. Id like the same blue as in the Bugu. The converge figure did it very well! The worse part of this is I cant find it delivered before September. I was really gonna buy this but dont think I would get the same satisfaction I would from others so Im gonna pass. I really appreciate your reviews!

The stockiness reminds me of the chunky calves on the Revive Mk-IIs. And let's face it, this thing is a Revive, in spirit if not in name. I wonder if the same designer(s) worked on this and the Mk-IIs....
LOL the manga head almost makes it look like a space variation of the Ez8.
9:00 when The Shield is extended all the way it flips over the hand perfectly so it looks like he's holding it like a riot shield

I guess the "EXAM" part of the name is there due to the new head and transformation gimmicks of the suit (which, AFAIK, morphs a la Nu Gundam ver. Ka in the new manga).
I think it'll look a lot better if you paneline it. It does look too blue and I think it would help break up the colors a little bit
He likes to show stuff straight out of the box so we can see what were getting for no work (aside from assembly)
Kit looks nice, I just wish they would announce a regular old Ground Gundam Revive. I'm sick of them beating around the bush with these Origin and Blue destiny variants and not the thing they're based on that hasn't gotten a kit in 10 years. I guess I could just get Unit 2's head, paint it, and put it on the Ez-8 kit...
The Ez8 chest is different though, gonna have to do some work
I've seen a small number of japanese kitbashes that convert the the Ground GM into the Ground Gundam, and being impatient about it, I've decided to do the same thing, with a few small design liberties.

would it kill bandai to manufacture kits to have the seamline be panel lines?

probably it is cheaper and easier to manufacture
H.R. gaming4plebs we should be thankful that they even put effort into trying to hide seamlines. Try doing other scale modelling and see how much work you have to put in to just fitting together parts.
What I mean is simply having the seamlines exactly functioning as panel lines, as if that's where the separated parts are joined in the design itself, like unicorn's armor but joined together. So you have no need to cover it anymore since it's how it should look instead of ruining the look. Like if the armor for the hand have a straight panel line down, just make it where the seamline is.
Bandai Gunpla kits are already by far the easiest model kits out there. And the few seams on modern kits are much better than HG Kits 10 or 15 years ago. Just learn to remove seams, it's not that hard.

when it comes to the ground gm bandai could have done the chest vent stickers like they did the sticker on the legs on the blue unit 1 just something that I think could have made the ground gm a little better and they wouldn't come off to easy

I hope unit 3 doesn't end up as an exclusive, as that's the version I like the most. My first attempt at a custom paint job was trying to make the old HGUC Unit 2 into unit 3, but while my painting skills are a lot better now I hope I don't HAVE to do that again.

Not at that time there wasn't, and yeah I know NOW if I'd waited a couple months there would be a BD3... but back then I wasn't keeping up with release news, so...

With darker plastic that's always possible. But if you take your time you'll be fine.
In canon, and literally on the box art for the game the blue destiny uses a Bullpup machine gun

AozoraOrigami the "manga" and "game" versions are in reference to the design of the head. In exam, the head camera changes color to red, but it doesn't reveal an antenna.
Right, I just used the manga version in EXAM, and the game head in normal mode. You can make either head either way.

Hey gunpla fans I need help! I'm not sure whether to get the 1/48 unicorn gundam or go for a 1/100 MG titanium finish Red-Blue version. Which is more rare and special? Is the 1/48 limited edition? Is the titanium finish limited edition as well?

The Titanium finish is not limited edition. But that kit wasn't made to be plated, nothing is undergated so you'll have horrible nub marks in the plating everywhere. Get the MegaSize or the RG

Since all the inner frame parts are practically from the ground GM then the hands should be from the ground to GM. Shouldn't it be able to use everything that the ground GM can use?
Anonymous Li The hands on the Ground GM are less rounded than the Blur Destiny's, so it wouldn't be quite right. But, most accessories will work with most gunpla, nowadays.
Avenger_00209 but the machine gun is the same as the one from the ground GM and if the hand can hold that without any issues then it shouldn't have any problem holding the net launcher or rocket launcher

I think I made it pretty clear, stating multiple times, that the color and my lack of interest in the mobile suit was simply my opinion~ yet the kit is a nice solid kit. I don't see why anyone would be dissuaded from buying based on my opinion.
I used to love this suit. Then I started playing Mobile Suit Gundam Online and I want to kill it with fire from 1,000 Zeon bazookas.
Why? Also the blue destiny is pretty awesome and terrifying....

Why would you really need a another set of clear visor pieces? They gave you two so that you wouldn't be screwed over having to choose either being the normal mode or exam mode with stickers....
Except you can only really use one visor on either of the 2 heads. Really I'd rather they have omitted the manga style head and give us 2 game style head to swap around for mode changing.
Devasia Mentality You can literally take off the antenna and swap it for the normal piece for the head, and so what? Just choose one form it seems a little spoiled to be complaining about there not being 2 sets of the visors when you really only needed two....
The 2 heads are completely different though, it's not just the antenna

Nothing really, unless you're one of the types who would rather have one or both head styles in both normal mode or EXAM mode without having to buy 2 copies of the same kit.
The blue piece on top of the crotch does not fit on there perfectly. There is a small gap on the left side

this kit...is a huge disappointment to me, not sure mine is defected or not, seem the ankle articulation sucks, cant even stand properly, and the waist joint. while i slightly move the waist a tiny bit, stress mark already appear.

I miss when you would switch between saying "jee em" and "jim". It was like you made sure to throw everyone a bone. The way you do it now, it's a little annoying to listen to "jee em, jee em, jee em" for 15 minutes. :^)
