@@nyororomeowelas1225 Yea. The Shanling L3. It has changed my world. My lightning port is dying, but I can now use all of my dongle dacs again virtually without any connection issues. Best OTG cable I have used.

@@user-pp9wb6bj5l even though I love the sort of unique tuning of the R1, the Delci is definitely the safer choice of the two. It is a highly versatile and excellent sounding set. The R1 is more exciting in some ways, but also warmer and a bit darker. For your genres of choice, the Delci is the way to go.

@BassDad8 artti r1 cable fantastic can artti r1 cable 3.5 mm work with female 3.5mm to male 4.4mm connector for balanced use because balanced cable much costly

@@user-pp9wb6bj5l you won’t need to. Plus I am very skeptical of any 3.5 to 4.4mm adapters. I know they exist, but I don’t know how they work exactly. The R1 does not need the extra juice to perform at its best anyway. If you can use 3.5mm, just stick with that

@@_-Z- you know it! I’m testing the V12 currently, but the Hydro will be next. And I’m still gonna squeeze a shorter, but more detailed review of the Onix Alpha. I’m going to try to get them all in before I go camping where there is no “lab” and no cell service next week. Sh*t! I need to download some tunes!!!

@@Oun104 they’re pretty darn close in sound quality imo. The filters on the Onix are pretty cool, but the versatility of the btr7 with hi res BT codecs is also very attractive, especially if you have Android for your OS. Tough call because they are so darn close in quality

@@Oun104 really close. Perhaps the btr7 is a little more crisp in the highs and slightly more neutral.

@@up_the_knocks I’m gonna be straight with you. The DMA has an edge in technical performance and certainly in resonance with that BCD. Where the Freya 2.0 wins is in smoothness and polish while still having very good extension and treble detail. It’s more of a stylistic choice. The DMA is pretty intense, especially at higher volumes. The Freya keeps her cool (well she’s a bit warm actually) no matter what you throw at her. Both sets were loaned to me and I gotta tell ya, I’m having a hard time choosing between the two. I own the Hodur, so I’d probably go with the DMA just to mix it up.

@@ManoharOfficial I get what you’re saying. I think most reviewers, myself included, tend to focus on the “intended” or “stock” tuning. Not everyone likes to play with EQ. About the most I ever do is throw on a bass boost on one of my dacs to see how a set responds. From what I can tell a lot of effort goes into tuning a set a specific way, so that is why I don’t use EQ. What would be interesting is if a company decided to release a dead neutral iem (with good drivers) that is specifically designed to be used with EQ. I could get down with that.

@@BassDad8 maybe that is what I really wanted. an iem with flat profile and very eq'able drivers. but idk, hoping for too much? i'm also a cheapass so doesnt help my situation much lol

Yeah. I get it. I kinda felt that way about it too. I promise I will make up for it with the Onix Alpha full review though. Comp videos are really hit or miss for me.

Thanks. I gotta agree with Frankentsein though. It was not my most energetic or entertaining video. The Onix Alpha full review will be better. So many cool things to go over with that little unit!

@@woophieink6528 Good question. It is kind of full-on in its presentation, but here is the thing, it performs very well at lower volume too. So I would say, based on the overall performance, it is still the better choice of the two. However, the Wind would definitely be considered "calmer" overall. Tough decision. For me it is the DMA all day, but the Wind might be the better choice for you. And it is a very high-performing set as well!
