I have about 7 or 8 to wrap up this year. I'm in mission. I transplanted some pups in August and they seem to have established but if I've learned anything it's that these bananas are hard to kill. Ill use your method when the leaves fall. Thanks for he video.
Cool, i'm in Langley and have successful winter wraps. Cedar Rim nursery down the road told me to do this at first frost- it turns the leaves black, thus finished for the year. I do a one swipe slight angle machete chop to each trunk, jog the heights a bit. 3 1/2 to 5 feet average. This year i got 3 small clusters of baby bananas, and there is some recipe about using them because of high potassium? I think and some vitamin nutrient goodies they contain. Enjoy your trees mine reach about 18-20 feet
