Autumn is my favourite season too. Autumn in the UK is very beautiful.
Palm trees grow in Cornwall., if that helps.
Autumn is my heaven 🍁🍂🍁
Thanks for this reaction to this fantastically stimulating City that I have called home (29 years in "Inner" followed by 41 years in "Outer" London).
It's been wonderful with, barely,a problem though after 41 years(tomorrow) in this house,I really must start thinking about getting a lock on my back door, which I have never bothered to have.
Britain, especially London, has been very influential for centuries, to a degree still is. I live just 50 miles from London and London is still getting larger.
Wow! An incredible city.
You will be sucked into Greater London soon,my friend:)
Tomorrow,I celebrate moving 13 miles from Central London to the very periphery of S E London and Kent, to this same house and I will not be moving 5 yards as I become 70 in 10 days.
Good Luck:)
I live in the east of London, born and bred, love it, London makes me feel alive, like on the night tube on the way home from a gig. Love it. You should watch the video parks in London, we have so many and are beauties 🌟
I will definetley check that out. Thank you so much! East London must be amazing.
MILLWALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL COYL....:)
Born Off The Old Kent Road bit lived 41 years(tomorrow) just 11 miles away and 9 miles from The Den,where I have a Season Ticket:)
Just remembered the site to look for…London City Walks 🎼❤️🎼🇬🇧
Apparently western cities self-ignite at temperatures that are considered night temperatures in countries like India - which doesn't catch fire. (240 deg Celcius is what it takes for spontaneous combustion to occur, NOT 42 deg). Arson is to blame.
It's no different in the USA today, where people are living in tents, while the Rich live in areas far away from the sprawling tent towns.
Hi. Yes London is just over 606 square miles (and I mean just London, not the metropolitan area outside it), so about twice the size of NYC, but they have roughly the same population (close to 9 million), so NYC is more densely populated. The town in London where I was born (Bromley, 10 miles south-east of London Bridge) was, before 1 April 1965, outside London in the county of Kent, so even now, after more than 59 years in London, most of the borough (the London Borough of Bromley), feels like it’s still rural Kent (best of both worlds).

London is twice the size of New York!
When it's hot in the UK is usually very humid. It's been 25°C today and I'm dying. It feels so much hotter than a dry heat. Every spring as soon as we have a hot day I think I'll buy an air con unit but then the heat only lasts for a couple of days so I don't get one. The majority of UK cars have air con so if it gets too bad I can always go out for a drive!
yeah so humid! unless people have experienced it they'll never understand!
The city of London is around 2000 yrs old.
If you rewind a little, after pausing, you won't miss anything. :)
Ok! i've a few of your videos and found you interesting enough (not an insult lol) for me to subscribe. Very likeable character and a friendly Glow about you!
Thank you! Glad to hear that im not too bad.
I let the mispronunciation of "plague" go by, though it irks me (its correctly pronounced with a long 'a' - as if spelt 'playg') but Bazalgette _deserves_ his name to be pronounced correctly.
The 'g' in his name is _soft_ - as in 'giraffe'. ( _Not_ _hard_ - as in "golf")
So it _should_ sound like ' _Bazzal-jet_ '
_NOT_ "BazalGet".
It doesn't sound like you're letting it go,mon ami:)
@@Isleofskye
Well, I'm would've but for Bazalgette. EOS.
@@brigidsingleton1596 It's all Greek to me,Brigid...
@@Isleofskye
Lol...but no...not all Greek to B!
@@brigidsingleton1596 Only just seen your reply:)
There is a simplified version of London made for Americans.
You should as for it on arrival.
We don't have summer for long, 3 months, the rest of the year is cool and there are no fires, so, it's just the summer..
Westminster was created in an attempt to draw focus from the walled city of London, London is a city of two cities. Londinium was just the Roman name, _the area was inhabited by the Trinovantes, a Celtic tribe that lived in the region of Essex and Hertfordshire. The Trinovantes were a powerful and influential tribe, and their territory stretched from the River Thames to the River Stour_
I enjoyed this keep it up
Actually most of London wasn't destroyed in 1666 just like the 1212 fire, yes there was significant damage to houses and most churches were destroyed but only about 13% of London was destroyed. Significant yes, but not most of London.
If you consider London to be the walled city it was most, but London was more than what was within the city walls. As it is now, it was then within the walls is only 1.12 square miles. London was bigger than that. Even these days "The City of London" a different city to Westminster is called the square mile and only occupies just over one square mile.
As for the death toll, the time of day and knowledge of how many houses were destroyed, a death toll can be estimated, but there are some wild estimates in the hundreds of thousands. Only 13,200 homes were destroyed so unless they were packed into them at morning time to 1am that's absurd, it's day time they'd be up and out. Unless being Sunday and the fire destroying most churches had something to do with it? Even then anything more than a few hundred seems vast over estimations. It's not as if they wouldn't have heard the commotion or smelt the fire as it grew in proportions.
A very respectful reaction to London and for that you get a pat on the back mate
It is the Capital of England only. Scotland as a Country has its own Capital as does Wales and Northern Ireland.
Interesting fact about Bazzeljett who was the engineer for the London sewer system was he insisted on using lime mortar which was more expensive but he was right as the cost saving since has been immense and it is because the lime makes it stronger when in contact with water the alternative would have required multiple repairs over short periods resulting in ever rising costs.
The City of London is only amile square. Greater London is very big and has a number of Cities in it. The City of Westminister is one of them.
England will be forcing water from Wales when that comes. Same as when they taken all the coal
I doubt u run out of water lol your next door to a thing called the sea
you know you cant drink sea water, you also know england has more sea water around them.
What ever you do try not to fall in to the trap of comparing London or any were else ( sewers pouring in to the Thames untreated ) because you only know what you know because of their suffering and inventions BUT you must remember parts of the world are still as bad as they were back then . So stop comparing if you can but if you can't remember that the UK is the same size as Alabama but were the population of Alabama is approximately 5-6m the UK is approximately 67m hence the smaller roads / housing and the cost of them
Best thing about London,,is leaving it
The M1 north-bound is very nice at this time of year.
To be fair this fantastically stimulating City that I have called home (29 years in "Inner" followed by 41 years in "Outer" London) only has 100,000 Official "Places Of Interest.:)
It's been wonderful though after 41 years (tomorrow) in this house,I really must start thinking about getting a lock on my back door, which I have never bothered to have. Socialized around 7,770 times, mostly,in and around London with, barely, a problem.
Bye then 👋🏻 have a good day, a nice life and shut the door on your way out. Leave London it to those who love it❤
Dead right
Immigration is not a problem and was not why we left the EU. Having a monarch is a good thing.
1666 👈 Notice the Last three Numbers. The Beast..Right thats all im saying on that subject. But also in the Same year a Roll of Material was delivered From London to a Village in the Derbyshire Peak District. Eyam, Within that Material was Disaster for this small Village. Fleas carrying the Black death , 💀 Plague had Reached , What became known as the ,Village of the Damed .Its worth a Google mate ,there's also You Tube videos, about it .
London is overrated and rest of England is destroyed by it London is not top rated
