What I really like is that the unlimited cable ties and hostage taking mechanic seem to do a great job is discouraging the killing of civs. I particularly noted it around the 5 minute mark in this video, being able to drag civs wherever you want, as well as the unlimited ties, really work in tandem to make sparing civs a far more rewarding experience.
Except they changed something; shouting can be heard. Basically kills your run if you shout where the PC with the codes was for him, had to learn the hard way. For that situation if you get more than just the 2 civs like he got you're better off just killing them
I like the idea of increasing the challenge of stealth with difficulty (as opposed to payday 2 where difficulty does nearly nothing in stealth) but the dye packs are really unfair in solo
Can I just say that despite the fact it's the same heist, I've seen 3 different people (you included) approach this heist vastly different. I like that. I felt like Payday 2's stealth is pretty linear whereas Payday 3's stealth seems a lot more dynamic. I can't wait to get my hands on it when it comes out.
I'm not sure if I like the change of changing the max pager amount with difficulty, feels like it removes strats involve clearing specific rooms and leaving everything else (example from payday 2 is the big bank vault area, if you buy the poisoned cake you can take care of the 4 guards that roam and there'll be 1 stationary guard making it super easy to carry out loot from the vault)
Thx for keeping it 100 for all of us, I do think it’s luckily gonna be pretty easy for them to improve the dyepack system for solo by slightly increasing the timer. I actually DO have the beta, but I haven’t been able to play since I’m on a trip! I seriously cannot wait for September
I really like the idea of dye packs they are amazing BUT in stealth dont make them go off. Like whats the science behind it? In loud give a bit more time for them to go off but in stealth just remove it.
I did it on very hard with 3 other randoms and no voice chat at all with all loot litterally no idea how we did it but tbh its probably due to us all being payday vets. I thought it was honestly kinda easy with multiple people we had the vault open in like 12 minutes tops and had the entire bank secured with a route to the van. Again RANDOMS WITH NO COMS blew my mind
I have beat it on normal and hard. I came here looking how to get the manager on very hard with my mask off and him in the main part of the bank but that is obviously not what I found but still a nice watch.
Also, I feel like skills will make the "lost loot" much less common, if we look at PD2 there was a few interaction time skills and the single player crew buffs. So I would imagine we would get things like that in the full games that will make the dye packs take a shorter duration and allow us to get all 8
When I started playing the beta for first time I somehow did Overkill Duo Full Stealth and after that I sometimes do Normal or Hard stealth but we mostly fail. xp
I’ve noticed when interacting with things you have to dead ass look at what your interacting with I don’t like this for with the dye packs; when trying to hurry I’ll move a bit to much and it will keep not registering that I’m trying to interact
I played beta on series S and it's great, but things that worry my is FPS, it's very unstable between 40-60 FPS, do you think it will be better at launch ?
Ofcourse it would be, reminder that this build is from April and Devbuilds that are not release builds(Alpha or Beta builds) tend to be not fully optimized
Honestly I understand why they don’t let you unmask and put away your guy but after playing a lot of crime boss that feature is very fun and makes things les stressful
Qr code has 4 spawns. Locker by exit, it room, room with all the civs meeting(first floor), and locked room across from it. You can also get inside from the outside to the second floor if you mask up and go through the window and you unlock the door just by interacting. Another tip is guards do not care about normal bags on your back if you are casing you can give the bots bags too as long as you arent in a restricted area you can just walk out with the bags. I have not checked dyed bags.
I hate to be "that guy" but if i'm correct, you're a console player for payday 2. If that's the case, it might explain why you think this sounds tough. This seems easy compared to modern pc payday 2 stealth. There's so much breathing room.
Luck! Early in the first beta there were some issues with matchmaking that sent me into solo lobbies so I just made the most of it to try and get a solo stealth done :)
Are they only bugged for some people? I have seen multiple people with leveled accounts and skills. Or maybe the challenges can still be done but you just dont know what the challenges are?

I still can't believe that the bag system is unchanged. Even RAID WW2 of all things is getting an overhaul to loot carrying in a future update, and PD3 is still doing this. I wish they would borrow the looting mechanic from Crime boss, yea the game is pretty mid, but the way they handled looting there is actually really good.
@@-Ajel lol, they won't update it. They rushed Payday 3 because of their financial problems, even the map layout is copy & paste from some PD2 maps. But the Beta is still fun.
@@-Ajel No one said that they will change it either. It's a beta, the point of a beta is to provide feedback on things that needs improvements. Having to move 10 bags, one by one is not fun.
I'm honestly a bit bummed. I wasn't as fond of payday the heist because I couldn't play it by myself on higher difficulties fully. And payday 3 looks like it's going to repeat penalizing me because I like to play solo
I'm rather disappointed that Overkill lied about the "technical test" being "random" and "fair. When it was content creators that got the first wave of access. This was nothing more than free advertising by allowing content creators to play a closed beta. They only started letting non-creators in after the major backlash days later. I would have been fine if they said that from the beginning but the false hope and previous offenses/lies that Overkill has done against community has disappointed me to a degree that I will not preorder the collectors edition like I had planned to after this technical test. I hope the content creator community will push Overkill on this false advertising and favortism. 4 pagers on Overkill trivializes the stealth, lowering it is the right move for keeping it challenging
For those wondering how to get into a solo server u just have to get lucky or go on high difficulty
