- Machine Learning in Minecraft is such an exciting space. I am so stoked to have finally made a video on the topic.

This is too high quality to only be getting this many views
Ikr this is underrated
Agreed
This whole channel is severely underrated
Agreed.
This deserve more views
Does anyone else feel like the way this ai should be trained is different agents solving each of the achievements individually and then an agent to put them all together?
Even though the final agent wasn't super amazing in this particular video, I learned a lot. I know your channel is pretty small and that you're probably very busy with other work, but I really appreciate your content. I'm certain your channel will grow a lot in the future, given the practical use and quality of your videos.
"this seems fine" as it drowns
The DOTA AI that stomped champions was defeated by a novice troll, BTW. Guy just ran past it into the back line, and the AI couldn't figure out what to do. It kept running back and forth between trying to defend the front line, and chasing after the player, and it could not make a decision, and thus lost. That's because it doesn't have free will, and thus couldn't make a decision. The AI knows that destroying the enemy and defending its structures was important, but didn't understand it had to make sacrifices.
Some guy did this on 2b2t watch fitMCs video about 2b2t bots
That guy talks about minecraft like as if it were a serious topic and it's great
I remember that video
I saw that video! That's what got me thinking about whether an AI could beat minecraft on a random seed. There are already "terminator" bots that can traverse the world (there are plenty of videos where they chase real players down and kill them), and based on that video by fitMC, the bot could see a vast area around itself, not just the visual screen a player would see, in order to travel around. It seems like the only roadblock is getting the bots priorities in the right order to beat the game!
Have you heard of the pathfinding bot called Baritone? Rather than relying purely on visual information it uses the game itself to know it's surroundings. It wouldn't exactly be a learning AI, but you could use it to piece together certain tasks to maybe get it to beat the game. (Locate wood -> mine wood -> etc). A way to have it manage the inventory/menus might have to be added though
I will very gladly take more content like this over all the ChatGPT junk that searching for stuff like this turns up these days
Very Cool experiment!
0:54 that’s so me
I think when it comes to making a Minecraft AI. It will need to follow a few steps;
It will need to manage itself. (Hp, gear, hunger.)
It will need to build/find a house.
It will need to gather resources.
Each one of the things above will have a certain priority. If HP or hunger is really well, it will try to fix that. If everything is fine, it may prioritize getting resources of value, which that depends on what it wants to do (to craft an iron pick axe needs iron and wood!)
Thus, you end up with dozens if not hundreds of weights.
All theose neural networks will need to be done separately. With self management and resource gathering being the easier of the two.
Great video btw!
Finally, now I can play Minecraft with an AI because I don't have friends :3
Sounds good
waiting for it :)
Underrated af
Great content here
That robot was a disapointment
Hi, I would like to mention, if u use Debug screen for AI in minecraft (F3 ) there is chance for hope. Because it shows the typ of block at left of the screen and it might come handy. And the state of block, (true/false, etc).
Hype
What's the video at 3:01? I'm really curious about the specifics of how the successful models work, and I've read this (arxiv.org/abs/2003.05012) paper, but all it really said was, "the successful teams used Hierarchical RL, and learned from human demonstrations." I'm very interested in hearing the winning team talk about what they did, and I can't find it with a cursory youtube search.
Yes, it's very hard to find :D Check out this: slideslive.at/38922880/the-minerl-competition?ref=search
Good Content
underrated
What program are you using for that?
How do I make one?
Nice
Hi,
I really liked the video, I was wondering if you could send me a link to a video that goes through how to setup up the MineRL environment since I'm having issues with the environment. Help would be really appreciated to anyone who can help thanks :)
I restarted my PC and now it works, I'm very confused but nothing some coffee can't fix
:)
What pc do I use I need to buy a good pc to run this or no?
@@Raj-wf6ln depends if your using this to do large AI models a fairly good pc is required, if your a hobbyist like me who's just curios a beefy pc isn't recommended.
@@j_owatson I’m new to this stuff I’m gonna get a PC soon thanks for the help!
@@Raj-wf6ln no problems, if your knew I'd check out a 1660ti for tensorflow gpu, and some ram 16gb really
Well, all the comments are "this deserves more views," so let's get more views. Algorithm, go!
I like how it has so many views and only 59 comments
wow
Bro ,can u stream this AI doing its thing ,pls pls
light bulb!
did it ever manage to make an iron pickaxe ?
3:11
I remember old minecraft mob AI and I honestly prefer it, the seem way more angry at the player
How about cheating a bit and modding your own raycast and location sensors into the game instead of relying on visual Data?🤔
Yeah, that's a great idea
I am not an AI and I leave the tree leaves without the logs.
are you german?
6:13 8:00 funniest XD
There is no neural network in your bot so it isn't a AI
shouldve waited for better results before uploading
