Id really like to see an Argo competitor to the Drake Caterpillar with internal cargo.

Considering the RAFT I wonder if they would build one with internal cargo
@Katastra_ thr RAFT isn't really made for long distance mass freight, more for moving big boxes between ships/stations/bases being built. I'd hope they build a bigger freighter

12:39 a throwback to the cargo ship that lost container(s?) of rubber duck at sea. There are still some ducks floating around up to this day, 30ish years later :D

Commented that every time Paul mentions the cargo 600. It coul also be more angular like the old Origin design style.

Another banger of a lore video! It's very interesting to see the lore build up to things we currently see ingame but I'm curious now, there are many lore videos on this channel but are there any on the current era? Like what events are canonically happening since we as players have become able to influence the verse
Good idea, I have the Jumptown video which covers this but there is other lore
Love these lore videos :) One thing I would like to see is some form of time-line graphic when you are talking about what year things happened, maybe with a few notable SC lore events highlighted? Probably a pain to make, but it would help the more visual learners like myself to understand the context of the events in the greater history of SC.
So, the long development of the Constellation Taurus is officially in lore. Also, I would be interested in seeing an Origin 600 hauler.

It is nice to get a little slice of the lore that may not seem exciting, but the 'Verse was forged by the logistics, perhaps more than by the conflicts.

It was a revelation back when I made the Idris video and ever sense I have been finding different pieces of the puzzle. In doing this video I found even more parts that connected it together. But also this is the kind of shit Historians love doing, I just love that I can do it to the lore of a game I like.

The blank spots are designed to be filled in with gameplay, the writers have said they don't want to write the gameplay teams into corners

I'd LOVE to see origin make a ultra high speed luxury hauler for delivering special goods like perishables or luxury items.Something long and lean with a long hold underneath and a luxurious upper deck. Between the 400 and the 600 maybe

600-M military transport, explicitly using the same hull as the 600i but can carry standard military vehicals like the Spartan and Nova.

Would love to see an ARGO capital ship that is basically a mobile refinery that can land on planet or stay in space for a prolonged period of time and act as a mobile base for Mole fleets. Maybe even act as a Mole Carrier. Imagine a real world offshore oil refinery that can travel in space, but instead of oil it refines ores.

I guess the only thing missing is the Retaliator cargo module, a bit of a mystery as to who invented it and with not being in-game yet it's hard to find much info on it.
Not really a mystery but I didn't add it because it is nebulous in terms of when it happened. Likely around the same time though as the Tali wasn't originally modular.
I would love to see s 600 hauler and other variants of the larger Origin ships. Like a 420i data runner and a 610i cargo hauler.
As a trader in Star Citizen I always like to see the history of the ships I'm using, thanks.

i love star citizen lore, it was all i would read in my classes in highschool lol.
What are the odds of getting a 600-M that can transport a Nova? And what did the Messier military use as combat transports, that were handed out to the civilian market at the start of the Cargo Crisis? Can we expect an Aegis Dynamics heavy hauler?
The upcoming reworked 600i Explorer *will* be able to carry a Nova. CIG have confirmed that.

I do find it a little hard to believe that the 600i came out of the 600 and not the other way around. You can't look at the hull of that thing and go "yep, that's a hauler"
So much lore yet so little content in the game references it, Player (hostile being the sole option for almost all) interaction being a subsitute for using the lore to makle stories.
Paul, please stop putting out these amazing videos. They interrupt my daily activities and force me to stop whatever I am doing and watch them. Not to mentions the hundreds of older videos I am currently trying to catch up on. I'm afraid once I finally watch them all i won't be able to fall a sleep without hearing your voice. I bought my freelancer on the promise that I would not have to load or unload it personally. still waiting for the deck/cargo crews of stations and outposts stepping up to the plate.
This makes the most sence but the lore team will hand wave something less interesting just to spite you for comeing up with it first
I think it was meant to be the case based on all the evidence I collected, but they never stopped and thought 'oh shit, this might have been a bigger deal than we initially thought' in terms of how this impacted the entire structure of the UEE and thus Cargo Gameplay.
The timing of this couldn’t be better as I’ve been planning to do a video related to a ship mentioned here.
I really hope we see more Banu and Xi'an transport ships in the future.

Isnt anvil who had no implication with messer. And Aegis does got alot. I remember Anvil being created after messer era. And being the clean military corporation for the post messer era government
And aegis being the big military friend of messer being not so much used by military because messer implication....
They were founded in 2772, just before the end of the Messers. Recent lore has Anvil build a fighter for the Messers called the Osprey, but it was at the end of the Messer Era.
@@TheAstroHistorianSo my brain doesnt fail me. You have miss between anvil and aegis. Anvil has no way thing to do with messer. F7A was created for uee to not having to use aegis ships....
No they did make a ship for the Messers, the Osprey. It's just that was the only ship they made before the fall of the Messers in 2792.
even though the Retailator is ship that will get Modularity 1st in the verse
The tali is a military ship and got its modules in lore as an aftermarket kit

Obviously for you to have put this together, you pulled it from the lore. And that lore is available, so claiming “the devs won’t tell you” is just untrue.
I would like to see more of the lore actually encapsulated in the game. They started trying to with the Gundo Shipping Hub and then just… stopped. I’m hoping once they get more of the nuts and bolts in, they start filling that in and giving us more story paths in SC.
