That's the year 2008 Jamaicans 🇯🇲 was so disappointed for our women 4x100 relay team because they would have gotten the world record. Kerron Stewart went out too early and left the baton in Sherone Simpson's hand.
There should be a rule concerning what happened to the British athletes, cos that is clearly not fair on their path. They should have been allowed a re-run.

The commentators got so excited when Jamaica dropped the baton lol. This should have been a Jamaican win though, but they made up for this imbroglio the second time they got an Olympic sprint 1-2-3. Also, Russia would be DQ'd and stripped of this gold medal years later for state sponsored doping.
@@0077725no, me neither! I remember watching this at home and my folks and I going berserk at Jamaica. After the US dropped it in the semis, then this crazy race, followed by Russia being stripped of gold later on for doping, it was one bizarre relay competition.

Jamaica didn't drop the baton Kerron went out too fast and couldn't hold on to the baton passed to her , she went out the zone.
Well the Jamaican's took out the British in this race, so I don't feel sorry for them one bit.
