    Hi, my brother in batteries. Congrats on this great content about Li-Ion cells. I would like to comment about cicle life. I think that the lesser cicle life expectancy of high discharge cells is caused by the higher amperages that the tests are done. Perhaps if we take a 40PL, for example, and do a cycle life test with, say, 15A discharging, its life cycle will be much higher. The 40PL generates much less heat during discharge, because of its lower internal resistance. And with less heat, a 40PL tends to last much longer. Couldn't this conclusion be true?       The lower you discharge the battery, the better is for lifespan. Now, they are cells that are just made for that. Not all the time the lower IR batteries will have longer lifespan. We cannot use that as a rule. There are several factors that will decide whether the battery will last longer or not like the quality of the material used or chemistry used.
