Had my first cigar in 6 years today, a Romeo Y Julieta Petit Royales, felt nice to be getting back into the club, found it such a great and relaxing experience, paired with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, I sat there puffing away and found myself saying the flavours i was tasting in my head in your voice haha
You guys are putting out the best cigar content on UA-cam. Full stop. I've learned so much from your review videos.
Much appreciated, Jared! Glad you enjoy the content 👊
This was my very first cigar 20 years ago!! I've been hooked on cigars ever since!
Love these guys just got my Ashton classic yesterday
This was my first cigar I ever tried, because you recommended it on so many of your videos! It definitely got me into smoking cigars! Your videos are top notch, keep up the great work! I love these review videos, you get great tips and conversations!
Love the pairing of Mazz and Faccia! Keep the good quality videos on good quality cigars coming guys!
No doubt 👊
The Ashton Classic was the first recommendation Mazz and Facc gave me after finding this channel. It was the third cigar I smoked (my local shop was out so I did a San Cristobal Elegancia instead). They mentioned creamy and I thought that didn't make sense, but then I smoked one. To me, the creamy isn't so much a flavor as it is a texture. The smoke just feels smooth like cream. This cigar will always have a place in my collection as one of my favorites.
First time I smoked an Ashton Classic was at Loomis Trail Golf Club. They sell cigars in the Pro Shop. It came in a plastic tube and the Boveda pack was rock hard. I thought it was going to be a disaster.. It was beautiful, so smooth. Twilight tee time, sun setting. Great memories.
That was the first Ashton cigar I had and I LOVED it! Ive got a VSG at home I’m going to smoke this weekend.
Can't go wrong with any Ashton, hope you enjoyed 🔥
That cigar with a cappuccino or flat white is incredible.
Ashton classic was on of the first or second cigar I smoked in 1995 …. I was hooked
It's a great cigar, I saw one of your videos for best cigar for a wedding, i mentioned to my cousin which was getting married, got a box and it was a big hit. thank you for suggesting Ashton.
Glad you all enjoyed!
One of best Cigar Channel for Cigar Lovers Thanks guys
Trying my first Ashton classic 898. It’ll be one of my first four into the really fine cigar market. Love your videos and thank you so much for recommending it.
I just lit up my 1st Ashton Classic 898. Fabulous cigar!!!! Thank you so much for these videos and the great insights & information. I feel like I have a different perspective on cigar smoking and I’m enjoying them so much more
Thanks Scott! Glad to hear it 👊
Great review guys, always a pleasure👍 The Classic was my first churchill size cigar and the size felt intimidating at first. It was great. Enjoyed it till the end and to this day it´s one of my favourite cigars. Next time I must try it with the Miyagikyo
The pairing is a must try!
Another awesome installment of a cigar review and pairing! Ashton is my go-to DR smoke. I particularly like the cabinet series, but frankly the entire line of Ashton cigars are a not to be missed. A pairing I would also suggest would be French Champagne with the Classic and/or Ashton Cabinet series. 🍾🥂
Now we're talkin!
@holtscigars how would you compare the classic and the cabinet?
That pairing is sublime, new to cigars or a seasoned smoker.... 💯... Thanks fellas...
These are some of my favorites and the classic was one of the first premium cigars I tried.
This was one of the first cigars I ever purchased. I let it age for a while, and after a few months decided it was next in the rotation as cigar of the week. I made a rookie mistake thinking "Oh it's a mild cigar, & shouldn't be too much to handle" I skipped my big meal after work, and went in for my weekly smoke. The Ashton started out mild and flavorful but built up power in the second third, I had to put it out and re-approach it the next morning after breakfast. These are fantastic smokes, with great flavor but absolutely do not sleep on them because people say "Ashton is mild".
Perfect timing with the video. :) I was just thinking about trying an Ashton Classic. Maybe the "Churchill" because it sounds great ( I hope it also tastes great). By the way, now I just noticed that, the filming of your videos are truly professional. I mean It's top notch, honestly. Both the camera work, the editing and the presentation. I really appreciate your videos.
Churchill is fire. It's my go to when I feel like spending a little extra
Found this cigar bay accident, didn’t have my glasses, thought it was another brand. And i totally loved this cigar. One of my favorites..
One of my earlier cigars and still one of my favourites. Smoking the Churchill as I watch
Fellas, I absolutely LIVE for your spirit pairings. I am an avid bourbon drinker than just started with cigars. Please do as many as you possibly can.
Always more on the horizon 😉 thanks for watching
Gentlemen great video. Spot on with mild cigar Japanese whiskey idea. Enjoying a Davidoff white label robusto with this exact whiskey.
Cheers!
Man I wish I could smoke cigars every day and get paid for it, that would be the life.
Hey Mazz! Could you recommend a special cigar in order to celebrate with my brother his college graduation ? We’re both seasoned cigar smokers
Ashton ESG 😉
Keep these videos coming please
The review the channel needed! What i would love to see are some more davidoffs, like the limited editions ;)
I’m listening to this as I’m having my first Ashton classic. I agree with Mazz. I wish this were my first cigar. I started off on strong bodied cigars because it seemed more “manly” and I wasn’t ready for it as a novice. I’m still very much a novice. This cigar is very enjoyable. I actually get the Granny Smith as that’s my favorite apple. Not sure if that’s because the idea was put in my mind, but I feel like I get it.
For mild cigars, try to get your hands on some Zabana Reserve Rum... Beautiful rum from the Philippines!
We'll have to check it out, thanks for the suggestion!
I'm having my first Ashton right now....life changing
Love to hear it 🙌
Good Evening 😊 Awesome Pairing👌🏽 Fantastic Cigars 😋 Good Review and Back Ground Story 💯 Have a Fantastic Day 👍🏼 Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
First cigar was Ashton. Great smoke. Ashton Maduro just as good
The Miyagikyo is a great whiskey. I can see it pail well with Ashton.
Faacc bustin out the SPF15 and gettin his Olive complexion goin. LOL! It’s summah baby!
😂
@@holtscigars Watch, next thing he’ll do is hire an agent LMAO!
Your pronunciation was pretty close: mee-yaw-gee-kyoh, said with even intonation, and without drawing the vowels out too long. Fun episode guys, thank you as always!
Great video! Ashton cigars are my favorite! Not a bad cigar from from that company!
💯
Good cigar, & you can't go wrong with Japanese Whiskey
Never 😉🥃
You can easily go wrong with Japanese whiskey, but you can also hit huge home runs.
I've always wondered where the Ashton name came from? That's part of the story!
I was actually born in 1985 😂. I lean on the aged maduro more than the classic but the classic is always an excellent experience 👌
Ribeye,wild turkey 101,and perdomo 20th maduro .
Thank you for another fun and great video. There is an amazing Japanese gin Roku which is highly recommended and I’ll be most interested If it goes with a cigar. Happy to hear your thoughts. Thank you.
We might have to get a pairing with it!
First. Thanks for reviewing a classic.
Been smoking for 4 years and the 8-9-8 was the first one I tried
I’m torching the gar right now .great blend , hot mortar , smooth in the gills . Up there with davidoff my two favorite connecticuts .
Glad you enjoyed!
Nikka is a great whiskey. Also try the Nikka Coffee Whisky. And no the is no coffee in it
$2 - $3 for a premium cigar, lol... imagine. I have this stick sitting in my humidor, can't wait to smoke it on a special occasion.
Holts cigars you guys are the best
Thank you!
Would you pair the whiskey with the ashton aged maduro?
If you like sherry cask whiskey.....it's not Japanese but it's Irish try the redbreast px. It is stellar. 10/10 $150 but worth every penny
We just might, thanks for the suggestion!
Nice suntan, Facc 👌😅
Even though it’s a mild cigar, it has enough flavor to stand up with Jim Beam bourbon 😁
Anyone suggest any sticks to pair with Glenmorangie 10 or 12 yr old
Why did perdomo bus get comments muted ?
Thanks for the heads up, UA-cam keeps turning the comments off for some reason
UA-cam didn’t like what he had to say about the troubles of entrepreneurs.
I like to pair an Ashton classic with Johnny Walker Double black label. Idk it just works for me
😋
@@holtscigars I mean the combination came to me after I quit cigarettes and got into cigars. I decided to enjoy finer things in life sometimes and I lit up an Ashton Classic and paired with my favourite whiskey of all time being the JW Double Black label. And my favourite combination was born. As far as how I got into cigars was through y'all's videos. So thank you! Y'all made me quit smoking cigarettes just so I could enjoy fine cigars and whiskey.
Glad to hear it 🙌 thanks for being with us on the channel!
💯💯✊🏽✊🏽💯💯

I've had an Ashton classic last year for July 4th. It was good, but overpriced for what it was in my opinion.
No Ashton in UK 😕
It has no character
Ahhhh so Ashton was the reason manufactures got cocky and raised the pricessss. Lol
This is a good cigar but overpriced. At least in my humble opinion.
Willet pot still is a great pairing for mild cigars as well.
