You always get the names right and then think you don't remember 😂 You know I actually thought about Missa when I heard this song first. It's fun you said Gauze during Arche era. My thinking was Missa during DUM SPIRO SPERO era but only for this one specific sound/type of song, everything else just sounds fresh to me :) The drums on this album stand out to me as well but it's not just the mix/mastering (they had to employ two different sound engineers for this album because no one had time to do the whole thing. But I think they both did an amazing job making it sound cohesive). Shinya is on fire on this album. I cannot wait to hear the songs live! Sad to hear about your personal issues...people can be terrible. I hope you find a way to deal with stuff in a way that can be beneficial to you (sometimes bad times can be a blessing in disguise. I know they have been for me in the past). Just don't do anything that will get you into serious trouble and listen to some more Dir en grey instead 😉
lol it's cause there's so many names and stuff in my head that it's hard to keep track of them all, but I try to guess as close as I can. Yes, Shinya is lights out so far. Most of them are really standing out to me in this album so far! Appreciate the regards, I will definitely keep listening to DEG! 😤
I get that your calling it old school but really it has more modern influences in terms of the timings of and inflections in the riffs compared to their older death metal and prog rock influences
The technical aspects feel more like their later stuff, but the tone and mood of the song bring back the old school stuff for me. I feel like they meshed the eras nicely here.
Y'all got anymore of them jobs in Japan? 😂

This one really grew on me tbh, very cool groves in there, stuck man meets chain repulsion meets red soil, not to everyones taste but I enjoy this one
