I loooove reopening up my old RCT3 park every Summer. This game is so nostalgic to me and just makes me remember the laid back early 2000’s summers. Summer Air is the best song

The mischievousness is one of the best parts of RCT3. Too bad it was removed in Planet Coaster.

I must have played through this game and all expansions so so many times over the years.

@@twsartadventures3660 i think it was licensing issues between Atari and Frontier, not sure anymore. But the reason is known as to why.

@@twsartadventures3660 atari lost a lawsuit to frontier. They didn't pay 2.2 million in royalties to frontier for RCT3. Atari owns rights to name and rct1/2 until 2022
Will existing owners of RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3: Platinum on Steam get a free upgrade, or at least a nice discount? Platinum already has Soaked! and Wild! expansion packs, the Complete Edition only adds 1080p widescreen support for the first time. Platinum was pulled from sale a few years ago because of licensing issues with Atari, but that doesn't mean you should be charging twice for a 16-year-old game that is 99% the same.

This was the first game I ever played. I must have been around 8 years old when I first played this, and the game was already pretty old back then. I am 18 now, and it will be so amazing to return in this amazing game. I loved it so much, and it's one of the reasons I still like gaming. I can't wait to return to this.

If the game's folder architecture stays the same, it should work I guess
It can, the only difference is the name of the folder “Frontier Developments” instead of “Atari”
Still own both physical copies of the original and gold editions of RCT3, but got no way of playing it on my current pc, so i am incredibly happy to finally be able to play this again, especially soaked, which has been unaviable outside of the platinum edition for years in my country.

One of my old time favourite games rollercoaster tycoon three was that sadly when rollercoaster tycoon world come out it ruin the whole thing for me at least we’ve got planet coaster is much better but it’s good to see the old classic is back😉

I loved this game madly, and I'm happy that thanks to the Epic games store on my pc I will be able to get it back after a long time that I no longer had it and I didn't play it and I still don't have a Planet Coaster or Planet Zoo with all their DLC in my steam library.

Frontier, you need to make this a little more polished to justify this over platinum. The textures still look to be on the lower side and some of the 3d models could have the polygon count increased.
While I agree it looks a bit old, I think that updating the textures and models wasn't their goal with this. TBH I don't know how hard it is to increase the poly count on the rides, but there's literally hundreds of ride types, plus the guests, animals, and stalls. That would take a while and I guess Frontier didn't see it worthwhile.
Plus you literally cannot buy platinum legit anymore

to be honest, i like Planet Coaster, but the architecture-system hadnt a restriction, you could add anything and any how ... for designing own buildings is that perfect,
but if the game has no boundarys the fun gets lost ... that HD reboot of 3 is highly appreciated!
an engine update and a Construction Designer for the buildings in RCT3 were perfect

I'm super excited and will get this, but I hope all of the bugs were fixed particularly with the peeps.
there will also be a version of rollercoaster Tycoon 3 complete on the Android and iOS and other software but I am already looking forward to it. go buy it right away when it comes out on pc and android.

RTX3090 can give you great 8k performance...
They should have made an hd texture pack as well... It looks like a ps1 game...

I have the switch version and have a game breaking bug that happened. I can't connect queue lines to regular paths but only for wooden coasters. I've tried everything. Idk what to do.

@@D3K018 It looks no different, tbh lol. But thats probably because of UA-cam. RCT3 was on steam, technically it is still there but you can't buy it.

Due to EPIC GAMES had given FREE RTC3, some people may be searching for help.
For all those had "OUT OF RANGE" problem, this is THE FINAL SOLUTION:
You MUST find OPTIONS.TXT to change the RESOLUTION. IT WILL BE at %Appdata%/Roaming/FRONTIER/RTC3
IS NOT ON ATARI FOLDER! WE ARE in 2020, the game was given by Epic Games for free, so the local folder has changed.
SEARCH FOR FRONTIER! This is the Folder where it will be the so seeking OPTIONS.TXT file. FRONTIER, save this name!

Please, the bitrate of this video is so low. It makes the game look much worse than it is. Frontier, I hope you could upload a video that really looks like 1080p with a higher bitrate than this...
