If you want to make easy caramel pecan rolls here's what we did at the bakery i worked at: melt butter and mix in brown sugar (for a half sheet pan that's a stick of butter and half cup sugar) and add to the bottom of your baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup chopped pecans. Place your rolls on top (No matter if you're using canned dough, frozen, or fresh) and proof, then bake off as normal. Let cool _slightly_ then flip out of the pan in one motion and retrieve any lost caramel or nuts!
EDIT: I worked at this bakery again recently for the holidays and the amounts should be 3/4 stick butter (170g I think?), a heaping 1/2 cup brown sugar, and about 1 cup chopped pecans. We also do 15 big rolls per half sheet pan, so if you're doing frozen or canned store bought rolls you could probably fit more than that on a sheet!

@@ahem8013 oh my god YEAH, if my career path wasn't aiming towards research/R&D i would work in one forever! if you like home baking it scales up pretty much the same, you just might have to learn some new equipment and get used to weighing ingredients for consistency! The hours are of course pretty extreme but I've honestly always had a better time getting out of bed at 4 a.m. than 8 a.m., for whatever reason. I guess you have to decide if early morning/overnight hours are for you, the schedule it can be jarring. Let me know if you have any questions/need advice!

@@Iluvpie6 Delayed gratification isn't the issue. I don't mind starting other things several days early like chicken stock. I know I'm going to use that on a recipe eventually.
The issue is that I need to be in the mood for cinnamon rolls. If I start them today, I will be committed to finishing them tomorrow, when I don't even want cinnamon rolls anymore.
Cinnamon rolls aren't the type of thing most people crave all the time. I have seen cinnamon rolls made, ignored, and thrown out several times, just because no one in the house was in the mood for them.

Spray the plastic wrap that I loosely place over rolls. When the oven cools to 170° or so. Place the rolls in it and wait till they DOUBLE and maybe a bit more. Take them out CAREFULLY preheat then bake

@@orionishi6737 Thanks I found them I got the buttermilk because that's the only one they had in the frozen section. They came out so good. It had a more homemade fluffy taste. Can't believe I never tried these.

It's not prepping if all u do it put them in a pan.. thats a huge difference from making dough, letting it rise and rolling it out.

You should make them from scratch. Much better than store bought and no preservatives , soy products and HFCS. Also cheaper.

The only store bought cinnamon rolls I’ve found to be any good are the Annie’s brand ones, I get them at Target. I don’t follow the instructions on the package though. I bake them at 375 for 25 minutes. I also make sure to put them in a pan that butts them up to each other otherwise they don’t turn out right in my opinion.

I use the same Rhoades brand, but do it differently after that. I boil 1 cup heavy cream & 1cup brown sugar and pour in pan; then the rolls. I cover in plastic wrap, heat oven to around 115-120 degrees, then turn off. Boil 4-6 cups of water and put in bowl. Put bowl in oven rack UNDER the pan of Cinnamon rolls and let rise. This will only take a couple hours bc of the warm cream mixture and the heat & humidity. Bake until brown, then let cool for 5 min and then flip. You can add nuts if you want. This produces a softer roll bc it’s absorbed throughout

I didn't know this was a viral hack but I will tell you two things that make these rolls the next level. After they come out of the oven, let them cool for about 5 minutes and then flip them over onto a platter. All that caramel goodness that has settled to the bottom will now be on top. Immediately top with the icing and some toasted nuts. They are scrumptious!
